Will do. The variatus fry look like all females. Someone told me depends on the temperature of the water that make them all females. I dont know though.

Really enjoyed the overview of your setup. Here in canada, if i tried that the guppies would be eaten by Dragon fly larvae and other stuff, like Raccoons. Very impressive as always, and the guppies are still the best i've seen.

Hello Kevin. I had a few dragonfly larva. They are a problem here too. Yup, they eat the guppies. I haven't figured out how to stop them. I could cover the tub with a screen, but the screen would block the water lily flowers. Luckily, we don't have raccoons here. Whew. Take care in Canada!👍

Hawaii Hobbyist Thanks bro they had eggs when I left to Hawaii came home did the water change moved the pair and the next day I had more eggs only had discus for about a year now I was worried about raising these fish but I wanted to try it out so far so good just hoping for a successful hatching then I be good and I have many more guppies and endlers frys May have to order some dumbo guppies from hc aqua from the website

Hello Sharfi. I do 10% to 20% water changes once a week. In general, the temperature varies between 62 to 82 Farenheit (17 - 28 Celcius). It could go a little higher or lower. The pH balance of water in Hawaii is in the 7 to 8 range. Cholrine concentrations ranging from 0.25 to 0.5 milligrams per liter (ppm).

Привет. Я делаю смену воды от 10% до 20% раз в неделю. Водоросли и водяная лилия помогают сохранить чистоту воды. Мне просто повезло, что такая погода здесь. Берегите себя и спасибо за просмотр! Кстати, как были русские подписи?

Hello Delray. I use the smaller tubs for my breeder guppies. I have 5-7 breeders. I need larger tubs when I sort the fry by males and females. I could have over 100 guppies in a tub. Cheers.

In the weeks after birth, they are so susceptible to disease. Most important is the water quality and after that, I find that the gH of the water is also important. Keeping it at 250 or above, I find that I have most success. Hawaii Hobbyist, is your tap water not chlorinated? Or do you just leave it a few days, for the chlorine to gas off? Hello Mark. Two weeks after setting up a new tub, the water turns green.. As the algae grows and the plants acclimate, the water slowly becomes clear. I don't do anything special. Take care.

How come your tanks are pristine clear & clean?? Im tubbing with lilypods too but mine is not that clear.. My tubs aren't made of plastic but concrete cement tanks.

Hello Jose. Thank you so much! When it rains hard, I use a container toremove water from the tubs. I don’t want to drill holes near the top of the tub since the tub is very good quality. Take care. @@HawaiiHobbyist Good Morning. How cool I understood Here in Brazil I have a water box, and Styrofoam boxes. But as my laundry is open and the weather here is very unstable. Guppies suffer greatly from temperature variation. I am intending to close my laundry to warm up more with transparent tiles. Then I will activate the creation boxes again. Hi Jimmy. I feel guppies grow better when separated. If they are together, the males will chase the females all day long. Also, less desirable looking guppies will breed together and possible give birth to not the best guppies. And, if left together, you will end up with more guppies than you probably can handle. Separating them also allows you to pick the best males and females to breed.

@@HawaiiHobbyist So very true. When I started with guppies 6 months ago I left 3 females by themselves for 4 months to see what size they would get. They are huge now. Much bigger than their female counterparts that live with males their whole lives.

Hello GalanDAN. I bought these guppies from my local pet store. The pet store brought them in from Thailand. They were already beautiful when I purchased them. I didn't do anything special. Take care.

I still do water changes once a week. The water lily does help to keep the water clear. Take care.

Hello Carlo. It's hard, but try to seperate them at 3-4 weeks old. If you can't tell the males from the females, then you can wait till they are a little older. Good luck.
