I have JUST passed the 12-week mark after Rotator Cuff Surgery Repair! If you'd like to see my recovery progress after shoulder surgery and get an update on how I've been doing, you'll want to watch this video!
Darcia, I had a full supraspinatus tear due to a dirtbike injury, and the surgery and repair has completely rocked my world. Sharing your experiences has been a source of encouragement for me, and I appreciate you! I'm at 8 weeks now, and to lift my arm past 45 degrees is impossible due to rotator pain. And like you, I don't want to affect the repair. Again, much appreciated for your videos.
Thank you for sharing your experience. I’m at eight weeks post-op from a shoulder replacement, after injury from an accident. Your video encourages me to have patience with the recovery process.
Big help here! But a word please from the HoH community (hard of hearing). If the background music was toned down at least %50, your speech would be far greater to understand.
That is something I wish I knew, unfortunately. As I was advancing with PT, and learning to get back to more normal activities I noticed a decline in my strength and range of motion and increase in pain. When it didn’t go away after about a month or two, I went back to my surgeon and he ordered another MRI which diagnosed the re-tear. It was SO frustrating because this second time around I always have in the back of my mind that my shoulder will re-tear again and I won’t know that I did anything to cause it. Also, I appreciate your comment and that you watched my video. Thank you.
@@DarciaDarcy That is my biggest fear. I've had a couple scares where I thought I may have re-injured my shoulder but I just had a follow up with my surgeon and he said that I haven't. I am basically pain free now at 10 weeks post op. My main issue is tightness and range of motion. I hear there is usually a big jump from 10 to 12 weeks! Thank you for all your post and hope all is well!
@@jackbabson8998 I am 9 weeks now and have a lot of pain still in my shoulder and arm. I sure hope in 1 week it’s better. I still can’t even raise my arm up. I don’t know what is going on.
