I want to start by saying that I really appreciate what this young man did for his classmate. This is amazing and selfless! However, what I truly hate about the world today is the fact that these stories of compassion make the news. A friend caring for his friend ought not be newsworthy. I look forward to the day where people don't witness an act of kindness, take a picture of the moment with their phone, post it online, and watch it go viral. Let's make kindness mundane. That little boy have more sense that grown people, and people older than his age. He is very young, but thinks very wisely. He has wise words coming out of his mouth, and he is absolutely correct about what he is speaking. There is no reason for anyone to be bullied because of the shoes and/or clothes that they wear. Everybody be trying to keep up with all of the new brands that are being put out and getting more expensive. People be trying to keep up with brands to impress everybody else, but they can't even keep up with their own bills, life, kids, grades, jobs, prayers, etc. They pretend like they are rich with the brands they wear to impress everybody else, but they are living poor and suffering from it. Walmart shoes and clothes do the exact same thing that on brand clothes and shoes do, except one just saves you more money. And last time I checked, off brand shoes such as "and ones" are produced by the same people that make Jordan's shoes. So, companies produce both the on brand and off brand, but yet you look at these items differently just because the symbols are different from each other, even if the shoe looks the same. Same shoe, different symbol.

I remember a bully in the 6th grade who I was petrified of. Everyone was either friends with her or feared her or both. One day, I ran home at lunchtime, scraped-up some change, went to the corner store and bought her a bag full of penny candy. Folded the bag nice and neat, ran back to school and presented her with it. She was SOO IMPRESSED and GRATEFUL, she said, "Oh, Thank YOU! Thank you!" She never bullied me again😊 (True story)
