I think that Eva’s humble attitude is really endearing, but she’s actually *very* good for someone with only 2 years of experience! Can’t wait to see how she dances once she gets to 12!

A DOUBLE pirouette after only two years?? Do you know how many years it took me to be able to do that?? Even after 20 years of ballet I still struggled with that!
Eva, you are really doing great with your ballet! There are a lot of steps (or series of steps) that you are doing that most dancers with only 2 years under their belt wouldn't even attempt!
This is very technical and you have a brave heart… but to motivate yourself, just dance. Everything will be easier. Step by step. Gracefully. After two years, the idea is to dance already. And thanks to it, you can add here and there a technical difficulty. Keep on going. 😊
So I’ve seen how hard you try. And some of the step you were given an X, because of how much you got right. I would’ve given you a check. Two things. Please learn to make a better bun. You head and the position it need to be maintained the hair will affect it. And with that being said. Your skull and your pelvis has the most weight to control. So as you were executing your penche’. You had your gaze looking downward. Therefore the weight of your head was making you struggle to maintain your position. Where you vision goes so does your head. So as you go into a penche’ do not drop your vision down to the floor. Keep your head up by looking up to the side of the room. You should be working your back muscles against your leg. As your leg rises to an arabesque line. The back remains lifted. Then as up go into your penche’. Your leg going up to 6 o’clock your torso only lowers only as your leg is pushing against your back to make it drop. When you reach your maximum position you’re able to achieve in your penche’, that’s when you should be engaging your back, and stabilizing core muscles. And don’t forget to breathe the entire time. It’s breathing and staying relaxed will help you improve with all of these ballet steps. Last tip. Work on getting your feet strong as well. It helps to be able to get off the floor. That’s the illusion of ballet. Which is to make it look as though you’re not touching it, but floating above.
