I have made your Oatmeal Pie recipe several times. It is one of my husband's favorites! He took one to work for the guys at his shop and they devoured it. This recipe is a winner! Thank you so much for sharing this and sorry it took me so long to let you know how much everyone loves it! Getting ready to make another one right now. 🙂 Continued prayers. God Bless ❤️
This just makes my day!!!! I love to hear that yall use the recipes....and....that they are a hit!!!!! Thank you so much for telling me!!! Have a wonderful week!!
This is delightful! I used to make it all the time years ago. Thank you for reminding me again about a great substitute for pecans when they aren't available or unaffordable.
Thanks for sharing. My dad's favorite pie is pecan, and he refuses to wear his teeth so this would be perfect, lol looks so good. Until tomorrow friend. God bless
I do make mine with brown sugar it gives it a more rich flavor and this recipe is just as good with a lighter flavor. Okay i can tell you the difference this recipe you really get the taste of a buttery richness and the brown sugar recipe is an almost mapley richer flavor both recipes like to make your eyes roll to the back of your head, winner winner, chicken dinner!
Ive made this my aunt made it our whole life and you wont believe how delicious it is ya cant tell the difference cept my grandpa always said i have no chewy pecans in here, so we started dicing up a few walnuts and threw them in about 1/4 cup or less and he was happy never knowin they were walnuts which are less expensive than your pecans. We live in California and a bag of pecans run us $15 a lb!!! We would move but we're too broke to save and gasoline at $6.86 per gallon makes us hog tied to this state near impossible to survive property taxes at $5600.00 a year and rising how we supposed to save almost 6k when we only receive $1,300.00 a month retirement and gas is $100 water trash sewage $$117 electricity $120 basic cable and phone and internet is $200 gasoline is$6.86 per gallon and our truck repairs are bout to cost us $3 000.00 .
@@ApronstringsGayJordan Honestly I never remember anything Here the other day I had my glasses on then they disappeared i search high and low for hours...i looked in the refrigerator i was so beside myself i started to cry...frustrated exhausted from searching and looking every place i had just washed dried folded and put away 4 loads of laundry and still not a sign of them for 3 hours straight! Until my daughter and my cousin walked through my front door to come help me look and both immediately told me they loved my hair accessory...did i call it headband or a fashion statement and i looked in the mirror only to see said glasses upon my own head!
Definitely need that knack for making pie crust. I dislike making but I do. BTW: made praline muffins. O. M. G. To die for. I’m leaving town for weekend this Friday and taking s big batch for the group. And I didn’t add vanilla since I try to bake s new recipe exactly the same. (I tend to tweak. Very difficult for me). It For sure doesn’t need vanilla. . ❤️🐾🐾
I'm weird, I don't like to bite into pecans (actually I'm not a big nut fan at all) for some reason but I love the flavor of pecan pie but of course it would be gross if I eat it and have to spit out the pecans at the table so this would be a great substitution I also found a recipe on RU-vid from Rachel Ray that used Rice Krispies instead of pecans which I tried and it was Delicious. I am definitely going to try this one for the Holidays.. Thank you!
Regular pecan pie is just too sweet for me so this I will try. Thank you. I just love your videos. Also I'm going to get your email address out and I'm going to send you a recipe for my pie crust that has never failed me and it's out of a little kid's cookbook.
I hate making pie crust also. I'm not that ambitious and it takes too much time, I rather get into the filling. I find that store bought is just as good and probably better than what I could come up with. 🤭
