During the 2019 Goodwood Festival of Speed, I have managed to film the amazing MAN Race Truck driven by British racing Champion driver Ryan Smith. This amazing racing truck is powered by a glorious 13L V8 biodiesel turbocharged engine producing 1200HP and 5500Nm of torque!

It's not a V8, and if the displacement you said is correct, the engine is likely a heavily modified MAN D26 (originally 12.4L)...or it could actually be a D38 (15.2L), the big brother...but both are inline-6's.

@@AlexJeffDust-RenAzuma66 I imagine the D38 pushing out 800-1000 hp in a TGS which underwent a massive diet using lots of carbon fiber and with the engine positioned in the middle, just like these racing trucks. But keeping it full street legal, headlights, windshield wipers, etc. Any color desirable, but also having a FIA-spec built-in rollcage...yet still keeping as much of the stock truck interior as possible... Think of it like this... All-stock Man TGS = Porsche 911 Carrera This TGS I imagined = Porsche 911 GT2 RS Pretty much, lol

a stripped out top tier tgx, with 640hp, sports semi tires (?) sport suspension, and a rollcage with quick ratio steering. average truck drivers' nightmare, because uncomfortable, hard steering, truck guys' wet dream lol

@@AlexJeffDust-RenAzuma66 With a heavily modified truck, I wouldn't keep the engine stock, definitely would do some things to bump the horsepower a little...and for these engines, going from 640 to, let's say, 800 hp at least...isn't such a big deal, still keeps it pretty reliable and durable.

I doubt it is a V8 - more likely a 13litre straight 6 if it’s built to FIA regs - V8s are too heavy and complex and most favour an inline 6cylinder

Hey!!!!!!!! This Man race truck It has the 6 engine in line and not a V8, if it were the V8 as you mention it would sound like such and not like a 6 cylinder truck!!!
