when i logged pulpwood running chainsaw my shirt was like that from the time i started in the morning until the end of the day lol salt stained tie dyed shirts. every firewood pile i ever stacked against a tree fell down ha ha
I thought I was the only person who used the bar and chain to flick rounds off a pile! Works great just keep the chain speed down and watch your shins haha
Man I bet you could not wait for this new splitter to arrive fast enough... stay hydrated out there friend. FYI I will be in my wood yard all next week. cant wait to get splitting and stacking.. :)
I do the same thing Chris with my cookies and I split them down doors I end up with two pieces and it makes it really nice trying to stack them too you have a good day I'll see you tomorrow
Chris if you would buy a couple more saws you could have finished the log pile🤣 Awesome vid as always! Felt like I was cutting! Minus all the sweating! Stay safe. GNI
@@InTheWoodyard You know I’m just messing with ya! I really like your option of having 3 saws to run. It has to be really prolonging their life span being able to run until out of fuel and getting a break.
I love my big husqie, but I have had bloodied shins from the saw pulling the smaller pieces toward me. I try stepping on them, but I always get suprised by what it will throw at me!
My guess as to why you want them all the same length is easer to stack and measure. For sale, but extra 2" don't bother me. Lol.. as much wood as you cut i would think your eyes should be calibrated to it now... I like the helical too..
Nice work there Chris, especially in that heat! Question for you, watched an earlier video where you mentioned you have a different price for your Cherry & Hickory. Are you selling those to restaurants or people who smoke meats maybe. Or is it still fireplace customers and its just a more rare wood in your area?
Yes, some day I'm going to do a video about chaps and my near amputations. Twice I have hit my leg with chaps on, thank GOD! Both times I was cutting brush.
@@InTheWoodyard professionals always say that cutting brush is more dangerous than big logs... Glad there was no Carnage on your legs and I hope it never happens again
Note to self: Do NOT watch Chris’ Helmet Cam Footage at lunch... Honestly, I’ve never experienced motion sickness in all of my 54 years of walk’n & crawl’n on God’s green earth. I’m a bit queasy right now... Must’ve been something I ate😉. So, when you’re not using your saw as a trencher😬🤣 are you pleased with the 572 or 576 whichever it is🤔. I don’t NEED a new saw, but Christmas is coming and my wife says I’m sooo hard to shop for😇. Bless’ns to ya! Tedd
