The product used for video shooting was sponsored by Ownboard. There are more and more good E-boards in the market these days. And Zeus Carbon is also one of the best of them. www.ownboard.net/collections/boards/products/ownboard-zeus-carbon
Great video 😊 Do you mean you are selling the actual boards that you test? If so, I’m interested in buying the Tynee Ultra you tested. As far as wheels, I have the 105 Cloudwheels on my light commuter board. I am looking for better wheels, 105 or smaller, that are light and can handle rough pavement. Any suggestions? Thank you!
@@jacobpaternostro9109 I think Eovan sells the 105 mm rubber wheels and I think Abec 107 mm are great, bigger contact patch than cloud wheels and sufficiently large.
Thank you for such an awesome and thoughtful review. We here at Ownboard really put in a lot of hard work into this board to differentiate it from the many other boards on the market. We really focused on the ride and the delivery of power in a precise and comfortable manner. One of our main focus was to fine tune the TKP truck angles to perfection. One thing we have learned is that DKP puts a lot more stress on the deck, even though they are extremely maneuverable it pales in comparisons to the TKPs intuitive reactiveness to rider input. We are taking everything we have learned over the years and harnessing this knowledge into our products. We are no longer just any other board. We are here to disrupt the status quo and we will continue to innovate and deliver thoughtful products at reasonable prices to riders! Again we thank you for your detailed review. We hope viewers can see the difference in the design of our boards and enjoy it as much as your have!
Your boards have almost killed me, my friends, and my family members. Your battery designs are amateur and dangerously out of spec at best, you act like you have a right to absolute control over the generic hobbywing controller you guys use, and your warranty team is prone to ghosting the customer after their board lit on fire in their room. Be better or stop hurting people.
@@KAMiJUINs 😉 I like how you show insides, measure boards and close ups. This helps a lot. Even though I bought ZEUS already (and since I live in county with railway shipping I will get it right for next season), I was measuring it with approximations based on photos and using Cloudwheels as scale since their size is known. I wanted more or less flat deck with no slight or no dropdown and short wheel base for maneuverability. ZEUS was perfect fit. And I glad your video proofed that it should fit my preference. Thank you very much again! BTW I think you need to get your own promocode from Ownboard and share with viewers. This will make lots of people a bit happier and yourself with a bit of extra money :)
Cool thing also is, Boosted Boards are also 13s so their chargers will work for this. If you have one laying around, it would make a great portable option to throw in backpack 🤙
I ordered mine last week with air shipping. I ordered the 2 in 1 package. I don’t think they offer pneumatics separately yet. I will let you know how I like them once I get my board if I can remember.
Thanks for the fantastic review. I have a Zeus myself and can confirm what you shared. I have a question: Somewhere in the comments you said there’s room to add a VESC. Do you know of a VESC that will fit… and also will handle 13s batteries? Thanks!!!
@@KAMiJUINs yes but look what you did, you are the first reviewer to but at wheels on it and gave us an idea of the limits of the board, yes I see the reason they didn't but your opinions and advice give a new light, other reviewer do that to but as a diy builder you see the technical side a bit more, and... you may have convinced me to think more about my next board, I thought this looked a bit cheap but... it does look really sexy
Great video and review. I can see you really put a lot of effort into it. Very informative as well. I just ordered mine last week with air shipping. I opted for the 2 in 1 6in pneumatics with 120mm clouds with forged Carbon deck. Only thing I’m a little concerned about is the 6 hour charging time. Do you think they will release a stronger and faster charger in the future?
In some ways, I think It could be the advantage is that the charging speed is slow. I felt it while charging several times this time, but the heat of the charger was really low. This means less stress on the battery when charging and it has an affects the battery service life. Once charged, you can ride long distances, so I didn't feel that the small charger capacity this time was a big disadvantage. Thanks~
They already have a faster 5A charger shipping with the newer boards. You can now buy it on their website. If you got the 3A one with yours you could probably contact them and see if they will send you or give a discount on the 5A one.
Great video! Especially with all the technicalities! Question regarding the motors being so low even with 120mm Cloudwheels. Is the angle of the motor mount onto the trucks adjustable for better clearance? Keep up the good job!
There was no problem using 120mm wheels for the motor position. And you can adjust the angle of the motor mount. However, it has not yet been confirmed whether such interference with the deck.
Hey, do u think it’s best to keep the belt guard and motor guard off of the Zeus completely? I had a rock get stuck between the motor guard cage and the left motor and caused a bad wobble so I removed both motor and belt guard.
Ordered mine before the 16th, still waiting for it to be shipped unfortunately. Free shred lights are nice but would have been nice to know we were only getting them because there were going to be huge delays.
@@KAMiJUINs i had previuosly owned a blackhawk pro literally rode the tyres off it lol, sold 6 months ago but wanting another and from what i have seen this seems to be the best on the market in the price bracket the meepo hurricane may out perform it slightly but this board is not as pretty as the zeus imho
Hello, I just got my Zeus. What is the best way to increase the torque & break with the cloudwheels. Change pulleys on motor or wheels? Have you manage to tilt/change the angle on the motor for better clearance?
Hello~ The simplest methods are... 1. Use the one with a small diameter of the wheel. 2. Fit the wheel pulley with a large number of teeth. 3. Fit the small number of teeth of the motor pulley. The maximum discharge rate of the battery pack mounted on the ZEUS has already been determined and most of it is already being used. Therefore, replacing the motor or ESC does not mean much. (You can try replacing it with motors with a low number of Kv, but there will be many problems with sensor compatibility.) The position of the motor is difficult to adjust unless the truck is changed.
I think you want to know compared to the hurricane. It moves slowly on the slope. But personally, I don't think it's a disadvantage. Because I'm more used to it. Thanks~
Are the brakes on a downhill strong enough to bring you to a stop quickly? I don't care as much about crawling downhill because I can just step onto the ground. But it is very important to me to be able to slow down quickly. I feel like my wowgo 3 doesn't slow down enough when going downhill, and if there's an intersection at the bottom sometimes I roll into it instead of stopping soon enough. Can you please describe the brakes of the Zeus in that situation?
Your pneumatic wheels are mounted the wrong way around. The little "arrows / channels" should point to the front when looking from the top. :) This allows for water to escape from under the wheel.
Hey ! I wonder the company of the AT wheels you put on the ownboard Zeus. I prefer 7 inch tire so I am looking for a kit that fit it. Awesome video btw I kept watching it before my board came.
Thank you for watching~ and I used the 7" tire from Wowgo one. Check this out! wowgoboard.com/collections/parts-accessories/products/pneumatic-at-tires-kits-for-at2
Hi , Thanks a lot from France ! so well made vid 🤩 Just bought One with cloudwheels 😊 I tried to find AT wheels compatible (pnematic or honeycombs) in EU zone but not sure about what to buy .... an advice ? 🙏😊
If the wheel gets bigger, the gear ratio is used differently, so just because the wheel diameter gets bigger doesn't necessarily speed up. It's the same for the torque when start. Thank you for watching~
@@KAMiJUINs so am I correct in thinking we calculate the ratio's by deviding the gear pulley teeth number into the wheel pulley tooth number, ie 44/15=2.9

*Great to see it on your channel, in your style!* Interesting choice they made to go TKP instead of double, it is split angle trucks but they didn't say what angles which is a bit silly lol. Really interestin board, with huge battery, it's gettin some good reviews. I'm not likin how low the motors are due to the traditional kingpin (tkp) trucks though, wonder if there is enough clearance when goin offer poor terrain. It's a shame a lot of "budget" brand prices are goin higher and higher, it isn't great for newer people gettin into esk8. Greate ride footage again!
Hey Bro :) Thank you for watching~ When I rode it this time, I think there was almost no problem when I installed the 7-inch tires. At the end of all the tests, the motors hadn't any scratches. And the truck's hanger position overlaps the bottom of the motor, so I think It can avoid major damage even if it is caught in a stone. Also, I think they created Ownboard's flagship model to diversify their lineup and let people know they can make it like this. Thank you for your opinions and thoughts as always bro~
@@KAMiJUINs Thank you for sharin those insights, I like the Zeus a lot, as you know I love split angles, great to see it, shame about the "secrecy" about the actual angles lol. TKP with split angles and a huge battery = unique and one to watch. Some people in comments sections get insecure when I mention the things they can improve but if these commentors saw a therapist it would help them immensely from cryin every time someone points out things to improve.
@@KAMiJUINs notice how personal eboar3r gets when someone tells him facts? hes blocked by almost a dozen companies and i have over 20 of his followers showing me his drama and fights with hundreds of ppl he posts daily. anytime he fights wit someone online, he thinks its me . its his way to deflect how dramatic and hated he is... im convinced he’s obsessed with me and hes very unhappy….. he simply doesnt like learning from someone thats been doing this wayyy less time than him and hes been eskatin for half a decade with nothing to show for. ownboard has 90% budget boards. why wouldn’t they innovate with better and more expensive? lol i thought that was common sense. but watch out, he’ll get real angry and post u on his IG as IFF he thinks anyone cares LOL. insecurities are tough benny boy 🤣🤣🤣. also, someone that wears a mask in his own home on a interview and never shows his own face, has a blue FAKE confirmed check mark on his IG, and has a downhill avatar when hes not even a DH rider, is insecurity 101 LOL.. but enough drama for me.. im actually surprised i even responded to him lol
Hello, great video! Can you put a DKP truck in the front of this board and make it more maneuverable? Tighter turn radius. Where do you live? Lovely nature, great paths for riding and hills in the background. Very beautiful. Thank you
It may be a good idea to use a double kingpin truck only in the front for tighter turns and flexible control. And here is South Korea :) Thank you for watching~
what charge did the board arrive with? im going to give it one of my friends for his birthday but dont want to unbox it but also dont want the battery to break.
it should be the panasonic 4800 mAh cells for the battery which have very low discharge rate compared to the meepo's molicel p42s. However, none of these boards use enough power to need all the current anyway
@@68at97 oh you mean what percentage it was charged at when arriving? Usually they ship with nearly fully charged batteries which is not good since for long term storage they should be around 60%, but idk about this board
@@cristianconstantin6496 Panasonic Tesla cell. I think the P42 is rated for 45amp continuous but I'm not sure of the pano's. I'd expect meepo to pull a little harder but judging by the reviews the ownboard Zeus is pretty potent.
@@KAMiJUINs have you build a board with kicktail. THanks do you recommend any beginner e-board or a build for beginners. ThankYou. i enjoy your videos very entertaining educative and relaxing
Hurricane scares me because of double kingpin trucks. You could always convert them to single as single has more stability at high speeds. I just ordered this Zeus board last week with air shipping. Haven’t got it yet but can’t wait.
What brand/model were the 7in pneumatics and what pulleys were used? I ordered the Zeus without the AT wheels but I want to purchase them separately. It seems like the ones directly from Ownboard are about $100 more than you can get them other places.
@@KAMiJUINs sorry I am a bit confused, if an esc says it can output 50-60 amps total and battery is rated for 90 is there any reason to get a battery that puts out more then that, I'm sorry if I worded that confusing I'm just confused why meepo used MOLICELs and If that would make a difference compared to this board
Usually, the discharge rate of ESC is set lower than the discharge rate of the battery. The reason is the stability of the battery. Rather than the difference between the MOLICEL and a Chinese cell, even a cell of the same size makes various lines of batteries so that the discharge rate or capacity varies depending on the company's technology or useful purpose. (Although Chinese companies' cells have improved a lot, it is true that they are still slightly behind in technology compared to MOLICEL, Samsung, LG, and Panasonic.) However, the strength of MOLICEL is that they have a lot of times recharging life than others. And there is also a point that it is a cell of a company that is already famous, has a low defect rate,(Constant and high discharge rate, stable low resistance value, capacity with little difference from the measured value, etc.), and can be trusted. It is also expensive. And to know the difference, I think we need to charge more than 500 times and ride.
Update: Ordered mine weeks ago now. There is an issue with supply that you guys should know about. Don’t expect your product before Christmas. I still can’t get an answer from ownboard as to when they will be ready to shipping. Horrible experience so far, VERY disappointing.
I have CONSISTENTLY had problems with the battery on own board skateboards. Especially the offroad designed ones. My friend and mines died at the same time same mileage consistently with very few recharge cycles and nearly killed us. A few times? The company could also be quite slow to respond to the situation. The ESCs aren't usually reprogrammable and, last one that I purchased (the bamboo) really liked to slam on the breaks at power failure. The board performance might be great, but be careful with the safety of the thing. Even the charging port that they typically use is well underrated for the voltage that is being supplied to the board (causing arcing and fires from plasma launching across your room). Some of their ESCs will kill themselves or cause arcing if left attached to the charger and the charger gets disconnected from the wall or the power goes out. Seriously, tread lightly from this company. I've seen how amazing the boards you build can get, be careful with working with this company.
Soo you bought a board from Ownboard and had problems and complaints about it. But you buy another board from them again? 🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️ I know they had a problem with their older batteries which was corrected.
@@yoassgoinhateme No, we purchased them at the same time. Warranty was almost non-existent (they were very prone to ghosting), and no, they never fixed the problem. They use a connector which fundamentally is not rated for the voltage being passed. With barely any input, the minimum required gap for a spark can be reached with their barrel connector. I just graduated as a computer engineer specializing in mechatronics, their design is bad. They corrected the fact that you couldn't LEAVE THE CHARGER CONNECTED TO THE BOARD ONLY. So, a power outage, a trip over the cable that wasn't noticed, bam. Battery fried. That's not acceptable and it shows that they are willing to harm their customers before they are even willing to verify their BMS designs in SPICE.
