I’m really excited to be getting into bikes and my grandfather (God rest his soul) used to talk shit about every Harley that came out after the 60s or 70s. I see that talking shit is the thing to do in the bike community. I love my grandfather and I know if he were here, he’d probably make fun of a new bike but being where he’s at, I like to think he’s shed all that pride and sees these new models for the good that they are. He was maybe playing hard to get. ABS, increased frame rigidity, suspension advancements etc. Just enjoy the bikes people are putting out and accept that you couldn’t do any better at making a production bike that carries the heart and history of the company all while still making a fuck ton of money (which is what companies fucking exist for).

It should be known that now Harley is providing 128 inch kits for the 107 motors and 131 inch kits for the 114 motors for the touring bikes . Hopefully they’ll be available for the new softails soon as well. According to Matt Laidlaw Harley Davidson. I would think it would be 124 and 131 but according to Matt it’s 128 and 131 .

A question I’ve been askin myself is why can’t you do a 131 on a 107 if a 128 is possible on a 107 why isn’t a 131 but yet on harleys website when you filter parts by your bike any 107 bike basically it says the 131 kit fits there’s also the crate engine option but why is it that I wonder lemme know if you know why I’m curious

@@Alphaaussiegaming it’s a matter of stroke I believe. So it would most likely require a a crank and appropriate set of rods to make up difference. I’m guessing but I believe I’ve read that somewhere by someone who knows more then me .

What they don’t tell you is that your only gonna get with a belt drive rear wheel. Only a chain can handle that power and transfer it to the wheel with enough force to get the torq you want.

Do anyone know of any problems running the S&S 124”big bore on a Road Glide with a rider traveling 20k a year? I like to ride and get my mile but i'm wondering if my bike would stay in the shop more than a regular 107 stage 2 bike.

I have a 2019 Road Glide special with the same "Fang" attachment and bar as this. 21" inch front wheel and the front fender hits the bar that supports the "Fang" when the suspension compresses, so now there is a crease in the front fender on the back side. Are you experiencing this as well?

...props for jumping there and doing your review,...on something that interests you,...as well as many others! Could the vid have been better,...yes,...could the knowledge about the product (bike) been better,...yes and yes! Could prep time had been better of course,....the fact is,...you will either get worst in a craft,...or better in a craft the more time and effort you put into those concerns many have addressed, etc. As for me,...I only look to provide you with 'constructive' vs 'destructive criticism,....especially when I know it takes a lot to be able to put up the simplest of videos on YT, etc. So, look at it like this,...for all that are providing criticism in their own way,....just look at it like this,...if others here could make a better vid on this bike,...they would! 'nuff said! Keep on moving,....

Pretty much all 107 m8 engines can be a 128 stage 4 if you want it to the 114s can also be a 128 or a 131

After owning a Harley with a ton of engine work done to it, let me ask did you use compression release valves on those heads?? If you didn’t who ever owns this get ready to go through starters. I used to tell people it cost me $700 a year just to start my bike. Point is, sounds all bad ass and it is cool to have that power, but if you didn’t use compression release valves well your in for some headaches.

Well we have an S&S cam. Then we had an awesome cam guy. Which was it. This guy really proved he knows nothing about a motor. If it doesn't come in a kit in a catalog. He has no clue. Well, I can order you part # but I have no idea what it does. This is some pretty bad advertising for this dealership. Glad they aren't around my area. Mine are bad enough.

You might be dumb. Flowed as in putting the intake and manifold on a flow bench to check CFM. If there is too much restriction you port and polish the intake manifold along with a bigger filter to get more Cubic Feet per Minute

Everyone has their own personal preference for cams I quite like s&s cams but will always consider other cams before choosing I’d pick maybe a fueling or a cyclerama cam it’s all personal preference and whatever works for your needs really

I had a buddy that was a salesman for harley-davidson. He had a bunch of work done on his bike . The dealership he worked for did all the work. Then they turned around and red flagged his bike. I'll bet this bike didnt get red flagged though because it was the owners bike.

This is an m8 engine not a twin cam engine and I don’t think something like that exists for the m8 engine yet correct me if I’m wrong but I haven’t seen an m8 thst big yet and neither has anyone else it’s possible with an older twin cam but not the newer m8 engines yet again yet it might be in the future but not Rn

@@mr.b3168 I should have been more specific. The guys they had in the first video showed little knowledge of the product other than what could be gleaned from a quick read of some sales literature. I did not mean to demean the tech/s who built the bike. We are often the guys who carry a shop unseen. My sincere apologies to the builders of the bike if they took offense. However I stand by my assessment of the guys in the original video.

thunder god you can go to Fuel Motos website and look at dyno charts. I have a friend that has the 120 bore with stock heads, it made 135whp and 135ft lbs. 150+hp and torque is very do able with the new M8.

@@papichulo7757 you know I had a Harley davidson sportster for 8 years with 60,000 on the clock the only thing I had to replace was the battery. Aside from upgrading the suspension and brakes all the parts I have are original. Just basic oil change and tune ups when needed is all you need to keep your motorcycle in check.

Just giving you an example in opposition to your statement. I've owned both metric and harleys I like my metric for sport bikes but when it comes to cruisers Harley has style the metrics love to copy.

Nice bike! The World Wide Web is FULL of folks blowing up those Stage IV outfitted M8 motors. Seems like a severe lack of "sufficient oil pressure" might be the culprit. Hope that doesn't happen in your case, if so im sure that since it's the Boss's bike he can afford it... Your average Joe like me cant even afford a $50K motorcycle much less a broken one that needs a total rebuild of the motor again, Good luck!

Wouldn't it be more fun to make the engine rev higher to make power? The M8 can't spin 8k rpm before catastrophic failure where most 4stroke MC engines rev well north of 10k. Now that's a kit I would go for. Bigger jugs and higher compression just generate more heat and how fast do you really want to push a 917lbs motorcycle? Harley needs to shave at least 200 lbs off the RG by incorporating lighter weight metals and eliminating the modular engine. To replace a drive belt is hardly a roadside repair, 4"-5" of ground clearance is insufficient in any riding scenario, if you can't lean over a MC in a turn it should really be a trike. Harley Davidson apparently does not appreciate the effort riders take to buy 17" tubeless wheels just so they can mount modern radial sport--touring tires. Harley can be so much more than the poser iron they make today.

You can get close but you gotta have high high compression and some near perfect head work. No cylinders and cams wont but the combo with heads can get you close. I have a s&s 113 that makes 130 plus in both tq.and h.p. good heads and amazing tuning will do wonders

2019 and still not a closed loop fuel system WTF? Zippers sells a closed loop auto tunner for $800. It completely replaces the stock ECM. If the aftermarket guys can pull it off so can HD. This would end the days of having to "dyno" tune your bike every time you touch it. Unless you are doing some insane stuff you shouldn't have to "re-map" your $hit every time you stop for gas. What are you talking about? The only time the M8 goes into open loop is @ wot, and cold start. It runs closed loop otherwise!
