Finest motor on the planet it's a 2 pole coreless inrunner with a intercooler and liquid cooled heatsink that goes around the entire motor it can produce 50 bhp!!!
I've actually seen someone get their ankle shattered by one of these 5T's with a Castle 800kv Motor and 8S setup. The guy was new to RC in general and really should've started with a 4wd Traxxas 1/10 scale or even a 4wd SCT truck like a Losi, Team Associated or something with a 17.5 motor to start. That way he gets used to how they drive and handle without too much power before he stepped up to such a large and powerful truck. The guy just had money to burn and decided to go all out on his first purchase. The poor girl still walks with a limp.
you know that 1:1 car manufacturers are gonna drop some mainstream electric shiet soon when you see the progression of of the hobby grade electric cars. sweet truck man!
There are 3 Phases but you can acces the start and the end of the phase with the six connections. This allows you to connect the motor in both START and DELTA configuration which yields a higher and lower kv/rpm and higher lower torque
@@RCmaxxUK Setup correctly the MGM/Lehner combo will even make your 50cc look slow 🤣🤣🤣 A 3080 can be pushed to about 30Kw of power with a shit ton of torque from the start , you'll need a serious engine and exhaust setup to match that 😉
@@dannybax1982 I am about to watch another video of a 71cc 5T, you may have already but I still don't know if that's enough for this type of brushless power. R/C Sparks Studio, with Medic the cool Canadian, has a video as well of a 16S 5T that I am going to check out
Dam that motor Is Massive Bro looks like Something Out of washing machine err A Poss Washing machine lol nice looking under the hood that like it Alot ..stay safe and stay Awesome. ..UK England
It has 6 wires for faster response and less cogging due to the size of the rotor and drag on the pinion instead of just A-B-C it has an additional A-B-C in the firing order for smooth throttle response no 3wire that large would be so smooth. Also I’m willing to bet that rotor is six pole
They were all joined in pairs though at the esc. Kind of wondering if the doubling up of the wire was more for current flow than making it more smooth.
Gotta disagree. Theres only 3 phases coming from the esc so the only reason i can see would be higher current carrying. I went ahead and asked the manufacturer. Ill post back their response.
Question ... For how long do these batteries last ???? If you ride the same way as in the video ??? Does the motor have internal cooling ??? Dirt gets there ????
Stock driveline? How did that hold up. I honestly don’t wanna spend on upgrades and want to know if the stock diff cups etc can hold up. Just putting Aluminum diff cases but not more. Will this work? Cheers in advance!
Nick Hagen agreed. I was considering trying an7s setup in my losi 5b. But I realise after seeing this I do like an engine. Xmaxx brushless is great. 1/5 I like 2t personally. This truck is very cool though for sure!
Nitro/Combustion will never be forgotten. Not unless Humans lose their sense of hearing, smell, and touch. Even generations from now the rawness of it will attract a following.
Bearded RC hey some of my guys in the UK told me they got my stickers this week, I don’t remember I think u got them, good to see u here, I’m new I just subbed but see a lot of u guys in the fam here
I've been a mechanic all my life. Got myself into RC to learn about the LiPo batteries, esc setups and so on. From a basic standpoint. There is no doubt in my mind that electric surpasses gas powered in torque, rpm range, and overall power output,.by a longshot. Essentially only need one gear, you get torque from a dead stop, all the way to 60,000 rpm, in a linearlr fashion. This is a race vehicles dream come true. All the gas powered cars do is give me a headache, with fumes and noise. So after a lifetime of listening to engines roaring away, I could care less about the annoying sound, of a two stroke. I predict you will see racing have a paradigm shift into electric in the near future. It is already here, but soon it will surpass it with the use of lithium polymer tech.
Ed hi mate. Interesting thoughts.... and thanks for sharing your experience 👍👍 I like motorbikes/ cars etc.... and I like the sound... but I do agree that the future is not fuel powered or not as we know it now anyway. Once as e platform ( rc wise I’m talking) is set up correctly it is hard to beat. 1/8 nitro vs 1/8 electric for example... but e does lack the soul that does add so much to the whole user experience.. for me anyway.
You did 72 with yours I do that with the Nitro Revo running Slayer gears 3418. I'm happy with 67 because it does great in 250 feet also Nitro baby. Drag race Nitro all the way speedruns Electric. But my ten-year-old son could take it out while I'm at work but he can't take out my Nitro
you're the expert, what big bore would this line up against nicely? seems like its pretty consistent with power delivery, but when you see the big bores hit power band you just know they're nasty 😉
Super easy bro. Granted lmt motors are a bit harder as they have 6 wires instead of 3 but it's easy to do. Just email the company and they'll send a pic of how to do it.
Lol it is a major question but give him a break maybe he is not as into the hobby as us. He will get there. Soon he will kow the name of every person that helped build each part on his rig
Could you tell me the name of the guy that built the front lower left A-arm inside hinge pin please? It is very important i need to know. It will make me faster if i know.
Now we are talking! Joel 👍🏻 it’s got some power on 12s! Just about driveable lol. How long were those graphenes lasting? It looked quick and lots of torque but no wheelies 🤣Cheers buddy
It's really too bad nobody makes a tunable cvt for these things yet. With that much power on tap it'd be insane off the line & out of the corners as far as acceleration and the top speed could be near doubled. Would do wonders for the gas fored units too.
