In our country, there are very positive developments in the field of acupuncture and complementary medicine with increasing momentum and scientific congresses are organized. The most important is the national congress organized with the support of all associations. The 12th National Acupuncture and Complementary Medicine Congress on September 15-17 is supported by the Istanbul Acupuncture and Complementary Medicine Association, of which I am the executive director. There is an intense scientific program.
What will I talk about? In the Posturology session, I will explain the importance of bruxism and parafunctions in achieving and maintaining the correct posture. In summary, I will present scientific evidence that posture cannot be maintained without ensuring TMJ (jaw joint) balance. I will explain the negative effects of TMJ on both the central and muscular system and spine.
I also have two workshops. In my 20 years of complementary medicine adventure, I have dealt with two diseases, migraine and fibromyalgia. I will scientifically explain where the latest scientific studies are blocked in these two diseases, which affect the society very deeply and seem to be unsolvable, and that they are not unsolvable if we find the causes. It is difficult to convey all my experiences in a total of 2 hours, but I will emphasize important points. The important thing is to provide the right perspective on these diseases. In addition, very valuable colleagues will speak in the auriculotherapy session and I will be happy to chair the session. I am waiting for all my colleagues dealing with complementary medicine to the congress.
