I put the EXACT same one on my 300, for some reason when i put it on, it only had power when the key was off no matter what i did so i wired it into the black wire on the key switch to have power only when the key is on. And i got lazy and just put a extra long bolt in the fender and bolted it on there owrks great for the one time i have used it so far.
I would try it, my 300 was kinda messed with alot but the electricals looked fine to me but for some reason it would only have power when the key was off. No matter wich way i would wire it, it always had no power when the atv was running,
Would of been better to of got a pigtail that would FIT the Honda plug then attach the cig wires to it, then you wouldn't have to hack the wiring, OR just run wires from the cig directly to the battery
