I'm in the middle of this right Now on my Maxi/Magnum Hybrid "maxi frame magnum forks and swingarm."mine is going to be a 12 volt DC system though!... All lights will be LED and have their own common 12volt DC ground totally independent from the frame also the 12 volt lighting Coil ground will need to be floated from the frame.All circuits LED headlight/ LED gauge lights,...LED Tail light,... LED brake light,...LED directionals and 12volt DC horn will have their own fuses via a ATO fuse block.only the ignition will remain stock 6 volt AC points system which does use the frame as ground as was stock.The 12 volt lighting coil will be regulated and rectified via a Treats regulator/rectifier. this will require an entirely new wiring harness which i am building now from a set of schematics i drew up.wish me luck?

I saw that you plugged the ground in the headlight in the middle section and the power on the right. Currently I have it the opposite, should I switch them?
If I remember correctly I think I was using a single filament lightbulb on this build and thats just the prong that went to the lightbulb. Normally that light uses a high/low bulb. but its a weak system so they are both low, so I just use the high.
This was a customers bike. I got it jetted for them and they picked it up. I didnt get much time to test ride it. I would have made a video of it running but at this time I was typically making videos at night after my kids were sleeping and keeping an eye on them with the baby monitor. Even the clip of this leaning against the fest was from a different day. This video was all shot from 10-12pm at night.
Lol you said radio shack your showing your age my dude. I miss the days of radio shack. I know upgrading my light from 6v to 12v would be a nice improvement I imagine I'd need to get a 12v bulb to. But my big question is would upgrading the ignition to 12v really make a noticeable difference in power. I know better spark will make better power but ped runs great with the 6v I'm running the 72cc airsal big fin 19mm long sweeping intake 19mm polini 100main jet stock crank trickmetric 6.4 version with light springs 16x34 gears and a proma circuit exhaust with a simioni silencer. Gets me up to 40mph really quick but it feels like it just hits a wall and wont rev out anymore other people say its because I didnt casematch but I did port match. I was running a bigger carb for a while a 21mm pwk but it was always leaking and having issues but the polini has been great
12v vs 6v wont give your engine more power. It looks like you are hitting a wall because you have a proma circuit pipe. Circuit pipes dont hit high rpm. They have great low end, but they hit a wall.
