How to replace a LCD Screen Assembly on a 13" Macbook Air Retina A1932 EMC 3184.
This is a step by step video that will show you how to replace the part from start to finish.
This guide is valid for the following models:
13” MacBook Air Retina 2018 (A1932) EMC 3184
13” MacBook Air Retina 2019 (A1932) EMC 3184
*This guide can also work for MacBook Air 2020 A2179 EMC 3302 but please note that the speakers each have a screw now and the trackpad is accessible without removing the logic-board.

Bought a screen replacement from Ali Express for my 2018 A1932. It costs around A$220 including shipping. I used your detailed tutorial with zero hassle, highly recommended. For new buyers, make sure you buy the full housing and not the LCD only version! Thanks for the short video clip.

This video is amazing, right down to telling us every size Torx bit to use along the way. Had a little trouble removing the silver bar that runs across the back but finally got it out of there. MacBook back in working order! Saved $500 over what Apple quoted me by doing it myself. Thanks!!

I agree! My replacement screen hinge mounting holes didn't quite line up, but I was able to oversize the holes and got it all to line up. Huge thanks!

@@nbentertainment1961 i found a 2019 model iCloud locked, for 180 on eBay. Swapped the screens and I sold the ic locked with the partial bad screen for parts for $140. Worked out great.

This is a job so easy you can do it yourself, its no different from replacing spark plugs in your engine, with the right tools and a bit of patience, anyone can do it.

Screen to logic board cable bracket screws are not T4 ! They're T3

Your right. I used the one he said and stripped the head on the screw! Had to drill it out. Successfully replaced screen but running on 1 less screw for this part!

@@Craig040I figured it out when I was fixing it last year, I think you hold it down and push upwards to get it out of there. It’s held in place on the bottom and has to slide out a bit before you can pull it out

Does the replacement of the display onthis model not require the running of Apple Configurator? I was told by Apple that third party shops cannot do it because the software required to pair the hardware after replacement won't be accessible to anyone that isn't Apple authorized? Can anyone confirm/deny the need for software pairing after?

eBay is your best bet really, there multiple websites that sell screen replacement, but they are all quite expensive.

Tried this worked fine BUT be careful how you put the cover back when you finish. I put it front to back ( the screws are in the same place on each side so its easy to do ) and then the hinge at the back catches on the case and can damage it. Once I took it off and turned it the right way round was fine!

The bit where you remove the bracket really needs to be explained better. It does not easily remove like you show on the video. It to me 20 mins to get it loose.
