(13/3/2016) Loud ZF Ecomat! Damory 1655 Optare Spectra R155NPR - Winchester Spring Running Day

R155NPR was new to Wilts & Dorset as 3155. As suggested by the livery, it has been allocated to the Stonehenge tour. Last Sunday saw it running on Route 45 between Winchester Broadway and Winchester Station at The Rear Engined Bus Running Day.
While Voith D851.3 is the standard gearbox of DAF DB250, Wilts & Dorset opted for ZF Ecomat for theirs. The combination of Optare Spectra and ZF Ecomat is uncommon, and the bus sounds quite different from most double deckers familiar to me.

Could be a 4HP or a 5HP - 500 or 590, depending on the engine power.

This is now with "Lynx" in Norfolk

Max Ganesh this bus isn’t with Lynx of Norfolk, ex Ipswich Buses 153 ( X153 LBJ ) is with Lynx as there sole Optare Spectra now registered as UWWW 2X.
