Hi Everyone I Bought this brand new Hornby Railroad Plus Deltic at the Great Electric Train Show in Milton Keynes for the bargain price of £95.
It came factory fitted with an Eight Pin TXS DCC Bluetooth Sound Decoder.
But it was not fitted with lights because the body is made from the old Lima tooling that Hornby tend to use for their Railroad Plus range of models.
So this video is all about fitting directional lights, using 2mm 12v led lights.
I am delighted with the results of the project.
Hope you enjoy the video.
Regards… Steve 👍👍👍

Hi Steve, A super video I always think putting lights in to these type of budget locos raises the game a lot so well done for showing us. The layout is looking super also you have done a great job on that as well. Cheers Robert.

Hi Robert … Thanks for your usual very nice and encouraging comments. Yes a nice upgrade and cheap too. I reckon other than my time 🕰️ I still have change out £3 for the job. I would say that is a result 🤣🤣

Hi Maurice… Thanks for watching and your nice comments. Yes I am really pleased how it turned out. Maybe upgrade the couplings next and try some light weathering. Need to practice some weathering first though 🤔 Regards…. Steve 👍

Hi John. Hope you are doing ok. If you remember. Bought this loco when we were walking around the GETS show together. We were supposed to be looking for some trees 🌲 for your layout 🤣🤣🤣 I have to say this was a particularly satisfying upgrade. Next I’m going to upgrade the wagon couplings on this consist. And maybe replace the micro switch on the Deltic for a reed switch, so I can turn the reds off with a magnet. See you soon 👍

@@route7railway567 I’m so glad you got it Steve, it’s a lovely addition to your layout and given you some great ideas for upgrades too. It managed to get trees at the last NEC Warley show, so I’m more than happy too. Strangely making some up now. Take care
