👍🏻😁 perfect timing on this video, I’m new to nomad life. Bought chair that is a total non-fit. 😤🤷🏼‍♀️ appreciate the lesson in what to look for and what to avoid. 👍🏻

This is a really helpful video! Living in a van, space is always at a premium! The other big factor for me is cost, but I know that changes over time, so I will start googling!

Thanks, I forgot to create a space in my van plan for a chair before seeing this video.

Yep! It's good to slow down and really look at what you use before getting started.

Great topic! Thank you, I'm surprised that dozens of RU-vidrs review power banks, while this is the first chair overview that I've seen. The best size/comfort compromise for me is the Nemo Stargaze chair, which cost $100 on sale at REI. And just 10 minutes I could show you how easy and convenient it is to assemble. Ha ha, no it's more like 1 minute, like the Marchway, but it doesn't just pop open like some chairs.

Thanks for sharing your favorite chair - it's so helpful! Dozens of RU-vidrs review power banks because we get emails all the time asking to review them. For power banks, I prefer the Ecoflow, because of how quickly they charge, which I buy from Costco, rather than getting free for my review. 😎

Thanks Joni, this video is very helpful. To have a rocker type of chair would be my choice, so I appreciate Schyler demonstrating her chair. And the price has come down from several years ago. Thanks again.

I will be including more rockers in the next one. I just have to catch up with my friends who have those! 😉

I wish I could show you a photograph of my chair. It’s Picnictime’s Fusion chair. It’s a backpack. It has a pop-up 11”x14” end table WITH two fabric shelves that drop-down under it. And then, on the other side, it has a detachable soft cooler with lots of organizing pouches. Weighs 12 pounds, and can support somebody who weighs up to 350 pounds. Fully deployed it is 39 inches wide, but can be as small as 25 inches wide (in chair only mode). I’ve used this on archaeological digs, camping, meditation retreats, and at the very last MichFest. It comes in red, black and blue. I have zero affiliation with this company. But it’s probably the favorite thing that I own. I’m beta testing a van build in my living room, and I hope to have two of these chairs in my build, where one is on the floor, and I wall-mount my second one. I own two of these, so I can put different assemblages in each chair for two different purposes. One chair can be equipped for everything that I need for an outdoor kitchen. At the Michigan Women’s Music Festival, I brought it to the shower area, and had counter and shelf space to store my towel and clean clothes, as well as pockets for toiletries. There’s also a built-in large magazine rack in which I stored a plastic cutting board (bath mat), so my feet wouldn’t get dirty. But back to using the Fusion chair as an van upper wall cabinet. I have an antique wooden crate that I might mount directly to the van wall, and then the chair will sit on top of and over that, because there’s so much space under the seat. Or I might even mount the chair so that I have mezzanine level seating. And with the pop-up end tables that gives me a 11” x 14” counter, with two more shelves underneath. The chair’s other side is a shoulder bag which is a detachable cooler. And because it’s a backpack, I can easily stroll over to your campsite, and have everything at hand for a party. Plenty of cooler space to chill a side dish, plus room for my plate and bowl. Pockets for utensils, dental floss, gloves. And it has purpose-built pouches for a water bottle and an umbrella.

That sounds unbelievably efficient and well-designed. I hope to see your van when it's done - it sounds like a unique design!

I ended up buying the loveseat one and leaving the overly-stuffed single-seater out this summer season.
