@Jack Burcell Entire album is 2 drummers. The song Divorced on Crybaby is 2 of everything too. Kylesa is another sludge band that uses two drummers and it sounds amazing, it’s almost oppressive.
My best friend who lived in Seattle was a huge fan of these guys.He always wanted me to check them out and I just now did.I can honestly say I dont get it but they're not bad .If my friend was still with us he would drive me crazy now that I've listened to them until I gave him a definitive answer if I like them or not.Rip Louie I'll see you on the other side Brother.🤘🏻🈂️☮
My ex dug Nirvana but didn't understand how The Melvins were an influence. I break it down as Nirvana wants to write catchy songs and then make them as abrasive as possible, but the hooks are still there; The Melvins are more about writing the most disgusting riff possible and pounding it into your skull.
lotusflowerdeathstar He doesn’t on the record either, I thought he sang it at first til I tried to sing along as was like, whoa this is way higher than any other Melvins song 😂
Hopping on this to say the most honorable Jared Warren on vocals and bass is lending his talents to the Unwound reunion. It’s a must see. His bass playing and tone are insane.
No, you're all missing the point about the video! It's perfect for A History of Bad Men. The man is going into the shipping container to fetch more of the corpses he stashed there, to make into another batch of the sausages shown at the beginning. The glassy-eyed crowd is listless because they're hungrily waiting for more of the Human Hotdogs they've become addicted to, and they clap at the end because at last they're going to be fed. The perfect Melvins film.
It's tough finding quality footage of the grunge scene that isn't from some shaky handheld cam with distorted audio. Probably because this was in 2007, not 1989, but still. These guys sound better than ever, what a find this was! Thanks for uploading this for us. Classic song from a classic band. Melvins!!
I've seen the Melvins with Jello Biafra and Adam Jones, Big Business opened the show. But haven't seen this incarnation with Big Business joining into a double drumming sludge version of King Crimson.
I just recently stumbled upon the Melvins but they fucking rock. Always knew that Kurt Cobain was friends with them and enjoying their music. I wonder why I never listened to them. Kurt often mentioned them. Whatever rather later then never..
