Recently had TMS. They had zero interest in my history (I was concerned about my akathisia, really scared actually and they didn’t care or try to answer questions). I had a strange brain event 2 years prior and got peripheral polyneuropathy overnight and was concerned because the neuropathy was still active. They didn’t care. There has been no follow up and I’m so low again now I can’t chase them for answers. Back in bed and have stopped sleeping. My brain won’t power down. It’s a big warning sign. Scared this will end badly.
I wish I was in your area to get treatment. I’m having trouble finding someone I feel comfortable with. Just seems more about $$, Dr I went to consultation with only spent 15-20 mins with me before having asst show me the machine. Do you have any recommendations for Tampa/St Petersburg FL area ? TIA
Are you familiar with the cTBS protocol? I have high anxiety, agitation and insomnia since. Do you think 1 HZ on the right side can " reverse " this? Thank you
Thank you for providing that resource. With any medical procedure or treatment, there are risks. Fortunately, complications with TMS are very low in general and especially compared to the side effects and complications from medications. However, it is vital patients find a reputable clinic with staff who are well trained. Our goal is to improve standards. If patients demand it, clinics will be forced to step up. Thank you for your advocacy. Thank you for watching and commenting!
