SPOILERS The fact that Hijiyama can only communicate with Okino while in the sentinel makes it all the more sad that his reaction isn’t there upon Hijiyama’s death. (Though knowing Okino he had something snarky to say when Hijiyama wakes up in the pod lol)

Hearing all of the characters cry out their SO's/friend's names in the death scenes will never not hurt. This is the biggest amount of emotion we'll get to hear from some of them too, huge props to the voice actors.

Megumi's and Amiguchi's reactions to their respective SOs dying are the best ones IMO. Very sad. Thanks for the upload! This game needs more love.

It fits their character IMO. Especially the former given how obsessed she was over Kurabe/Izumi in her storyline. The latter makes sense given how he often hit on Yuki.

Megumi's sounds like she's reliving the moment she lost Juro the first time, and genuinely sounds like she's breaking down. Meanwhile Shu's sounds like a mix of different emotions: shock, sorrow and rage.

These all hit hard. Also I noticed, is that Gouto's damaged scene even in the early stages of the game? If so, that could be the earliest possible reveal of the Professor.

I saw that scene at Wave 2-5. That was my first time seeing a critical scene. I was confused at first since I didn't know who that was at the time, and then I realized: "Holy Crap, Gouto's about to die! I need to move him!" lol

Yeah, the game really doesn't focus on it besides the first two times you play as Yakushigi and when you use her to shoot Kisargi. Plus, when you play as Kisargi, most of the time you're stuck in 2025. Hey, but at least the two pilot's starter skills center around each other.

Hearing him say that he wants to protect Megumi just like Izumi did hit me so hard. I don't think it's ever explicitly said but it's pretty obvious that Juro would probably have some sort of inferiority complex to Izumi

Well, you used the perfect level to beat the crap out of them... I played intense the entire way through, and that level was the only one I had to retry for S rank. Ended up seeing Nenji's conversation like 5 times before the boss finally went down

God. I played this on normal and nenji and hijiyama just dropped to a quarter health in a second. First time seeing what intense looked like. The enemies are really aggressive. Lord.

The somber part of that battle theme really works when it syncs up with the death dialogue. Like at 7:30 or 8:52 it really packs an emotional punch.

I just finished the game and I'm laughing at the first 2 clips because the first time this happened to me, it happened to me on that stage with the hi quad and it was hijiyama and Ogata as well. I was like wtf happened. I freaked out so hard and just threw everything at it before they died.

If anything this VA is pretty good considering they weren't made in a studio. If I remembered correctly the Eng dub wasnt going to happen but they got lucky.
