Bro do you know how huge skating is to almost every age group…? I’m 26 and have been skating for 12 years. It’s just getting bigger and bigger as the years go. I see toddlers at the parks these days.
@@Truth-And-Freedom There must be something in your life to bring you joy other than being a jerk. You heard the commentary along w/the vid...so, yeah girl of awesomeness!
@@Darapsa I hear a lot of stuff...... Nearly none of it is true.... Question really is -;after last 3 years ...... how tf are you still believing everything you are told ? 🤣🤣🤣🤣👍🤡
i love when girls excel in predominantly boy sports wearing pink- it's such a weirdly specific thing, but idk something about it makes my inner child happy edit: im so glad im not alone in this 😭 it just... ahh!!
Bc as kids I remember when girls always tried to be tomboys and said they hated pink in school. Our first tastes of sexism growing up & realizing nobody took us seriously unless we acted like boys. So seeing a little girl doing that is so heartwarming ❤
Good luck from a fellow girl boarder! (why did that sound so cringe in my head?) I've been longboarding for years now, the smoothness, carving/pumping and speed are more my thing than the double-kicktail board stuff. I've recently gotten a danceboard, so I'm learning more trick stuff too now! It's been fun. I've also started learning snowboarding and kitesurfing, I think I'll be collecting all the boardsports 😅 Deep down I even want to try hillbombing on a longboard, but my flat country has kept me from doing so, to my mom's relief... (My 50yo dad kind of wants to try it too, I got him into boards heheheh. He has two absolutely absurd surfskate boards, one is 1.5 and the other is 2 meters long) And you know, just in case you ever get tired of the board you have, remember there's a lot of options! People tend to think it's all the same, but there's more differences than you'd think when it comes to different boards (you might already know a lot though, I don't know). That's why you should try as many as you can from other people, or at shops. I believe there's a board for almost everyone, since I've gotten a lot of people I know into boarding. To be specific: some less girly girls (like me), some more girly girls, a trans guy who's always moved very wonkily, a really cute kid at a playground in my city, a college student who was very scared at first and a 50yo guy with hernia who never really liked skateboarding :) Oh and even my dog, just a little bit though. Sorry if you don't like long comments, people getting into skateboarding just gets me hyped 😅 I hope anyone reading this got something positive out of my comment, and have a nice day!
When I was a young girl, all the skateboarders I say in media were guys. I’m overjoyed that young girls now get to see girls like Arisa absolutely killing it out there!!
I can't even fathom trying to understand how to do these tricks let alone attempt to get on board. So impressive for someone so young to be able to dedicate themselves more than most adults can in a lifetime.
I'm so proud of you little mama I'm 52 years old I used to ride a skateboard at the high school but you just made me just smile this is beautiful keep on winning baby
@@ken_kaniff246 I’d be dead- I’d be in the hospital, not cause I don’t have talent, but because my feet are absolutely sticks, so if I fell, I may break a bone or more in my feet, which is sad as I can barely even do sports
YT Shorts are so weird. I get this amazing video just when like 3 videos before was some idiot talking about how women are not good at anything but raising children.
Don’t listen to those videos it’s just people trying to regress to the 1800s. Obviously women will never be physically as strong as males but aside from that there’s not many other differences or hindrances in most jobs.
It happens to me too. You've confused the algorithm - it no longer knows your sex. 😂 I do martial arts so I watch Friday night fights. I also watch cutesy content. Same thing happens to me.
@@kidneytransplant2843but women can bring a child into the world while men can’t, we all have different strengths 😂 and women can endure more pain as we were built for it
"You"Tube really likes to push the right wing conservative misogynistic content no matter how many times I hit "don't recommend this channel" it always comes back. Seems like we women can't even have a bit of an escape from sexism in the real world, now we have to face it on the internet too, it's exhausting. But too bad for those insecure uneducated males, because women and girls just like this one keep proving them wrong every time
PLEASEEEE make safety gear mainstream. So many senseless injuries bc somehow padding makes you an eyesore. She looks amazing and still rocks those moves. ✨✨✨
No it makes sense in this context since it's Infront of something "First Female Skater Earns Second Gold Medal" sounds better and makes sense than "Female Earns Second Gold Medal"
I love stumbling onto videos like this to show my 5-year-old daughter who took an interest in skating. I’ve started taking her out and showing her the basics, but I hadn’t been on a board in like 20 years until the last few days. Happy to report I can get the board off the ground somewhat consistently and have even managed to land a couple shove it’s! Not too shabby for a year shy of 40. 😎
With separate categories for men and women, you don’t have women and girls getting eliminated by the (predominantly male) competition. This is not a statement about abilities - just pointing out the numbers game that happens when qualifying for advanced levels in competitions. In other words, a women’s category makes space for women. Girls and women deserve this space and the platform for representation. Once men and women are represented 50/50 in skating I’d say do away with the separation for high level competition, because then it wouldn’t make sense.
WOW!! When I was skating back in the 80’s it was very rare to see other girls on half pipes and ramps… Now girls are really thriving in this sport and their skills are amazing…
YES GIRL! Dont forget to have fun, and enjoy it! That is the key! I can see how much you love skating, keep that love, and never stop having fun with it! You will set a high bar! Best wishes young lady!! You are killing it!😊❤
