The kid's song is definitely a Sixto Rodriguez song called Crucify Your Mind. I very much doubt he did it on purpose or that he was aware of the influence. A lot a times these things come to us from the subconscious, but I would like to ask him if Sixto is one of his idols. The best part is when Sam is singing his song, during the audition, and the guitar player in the stage band is absorbing EVERY word, note and cord...and you can see his absolute respect for Sam as a young singer/songwriter. The pure joy on his face, says it all. (I mean the guitar player in the background.)

Reinaldo, the songs of my youth, it was a great time to be young, my generation changed music, it was something else, hours of music and new songs and artists on the radio. I feel blessed and lucky to have such great music and the grassers (parties in the woods with a bonfire), booms farm and beer☮️

Any kid that starts with Bob Dylan, knows and understands Cat Stevens, and ends with the greatest Beatles song ever, deserves to win. His own song about his Mom was incredible. I also thought that Ryan was great also...too bad only one can win.

Sam is an incredible talent. It's difficult to comprehend that he is only 13. If he keeps a level head, and I'm sure he will, then he could well be a superstar. It's terrible to lose your Mum at such a young age but I think Sam has a great Dad to help him on his way.

Yes, this young teen, Sam has the voice, the heart, the soul and the depth of honesty in his singing and is able to pull you into his story...He is one of those rare (especially for his tender age) singers who can transport himself into the songs and thereby transports the listeners!
