Update: During the flashing process, tap the ignition button 3 times quickly to put the vehicle in diagnostic mode (engine off), then fasten the seat belt to prevent a time out.
Bro, thank you for making video that is simple to understand! Every video I have watched is like a different language. New to this. Just bought a Supra!
If you have a chance, take a look at the EcuTek with Jeff Payne tune. A lot of 2020 Supra guys in my area are using his tune (remote) with Pure 700/800 and E85. Just more options if or when you plan to do more serious mods.
Hey sorry stupid question but I'm curious, if i end up adding more mods in the future on top of the downpipe I will need to buy a different mhd tune/license to support those ?
All of the licenses for the MHD Super collection are included. Mostly, it is just for different fuel octanes (stage 2 with downpipe). They are pre-made - off the shelf universal maps. Adding an intake or ethanol measurement analyzer isn't going to change anything. If you drop in a new turbo or port injection, you're going to need an ECUTEK custom tune or such. Hope that helps.
I just bought a 2020 BMW which had the same B58-C engine. Did you notice a significant difference from OEM to stage 1? I think your engine is tuned stock to higher torque than the BMW version, hp is the same at 335. Thanks
The Supra will destroy the WRX. It has a lot more torque down low and the automatic ZF transmission is ridiculous fast. I daily drive the WRX though. I love the manual and it's plenty fast on its own. Yes, the MHD map deletes the CEL from the catless. 🙌
You are golden! Mod that sh#t! I'm loving the MHD tune. Later model owners are spending thousands and thousands to get their DME unlocked. We're lucky 👌
I didn't. My ECU date was Sept. 2019 and was immediately tunable. Later ECUs, before the 6-2020 cutoff, will need a bench unlock. The MHD software can tell you if you need a bench unlock.
There are now newer ones like this, www.bimecu.com/product-page/mhd-universal?gclid=CjwKCAjwwb6lBhBJEiwAbuVUSm_5EccRg_4c6PpAxoIMahqGAbTpq1ZqegX762RmwdSWGxmQvwridRoCVggQAvD_BwE
@@purden1821 You can run the stage 1 MHD map with a stock catted downpipe, still with significant gains. Stage 2 with an aftermarket high flow catted downpipe or catless will be around an additional 50hp beyond stage 1.
