On the hunt for 600HP we pop on Pure's Stage 2 Turbo that's a direct OE replacement and flows up to 650hp. This thing is getting NUTS! RKTunes - www.rktunes.com Pure - www.pureturbos.com
Ive loved the idea of a new supra tbh. Even when the leaks about the bmw partnership i was still excited about it. Although i was bummed out about the bmw engine at first it still didnt turn me off on it. My only REAL complaint is the lack of a manual at the moment.
Itz_ Fez-Tex I completely agree with you on everything you’ve said, one last thing that annoys me more than anything has to be all of the fake vents. I know some of the plastic parts are removable but the door vents for example are simply for show and it’s quite honestly just unnecessary.
Adam is a great Supra ambassador. I didn't like it either at first. Toyota should notice, cause he probably convinced a lot of people to the new Supra, lol
well it seems like a stock frame turbo just machined for lager wheels. they have been doing that for evos & stuff for years, & that has its limitations opposed to going to an actual GT35. probably helping the struggle to get 600.
Marijus Marcinkus well Toyota said you could just easily take them out and put in real ones, and when comes to the ones in the door you would have to cut though the whole entire door frame and lock mechanism to make functional. Than cut through the frame around the door and the rear panel that leds to the rear wheel arch
Will Sanctuary my biggest problem with that is TJ swears by bags and on occasions has said their performance is similar to coil overs. Yet he has had to fix / replace multiple sets on his FD and his BRZ. I still love supporting him but that bothers me.
@@rsmasterng i mean i sorta care thats why i watch adams build not tj because i wanna see a supra pushed to its hp limit not scrapping on everything im generally curious and i cant afford to do whar adam does
n55 Pure stage 2 owner here: love it so much. Car makes the perfect amount of power for the chassis and feels so strong and solid every time I get on it.
Loved the video, you guys put off good energy. I have the same color MKV in my garage with 700 miles on it, still breaking her in proper for once! Love the gains, and can't wait to add the Pure turbo, supporting mods, and a tune!! Badass guy's!
@Max Nice, from a video?. but you know it's true, if they keep on boosting these things without internal upgrades, eventually the internals are not going to be able to handle it.
@@MrKillerToad nah man that car sucks idk what you are talking about... (chill mane pls I can still find them for cheap af in comparison to a MKV and wanna keep it that way)
@@WelcomeToTheMadness It belongs in it! What could possible go wrong with a bmw engine in an actual bmw!😂😂 Just kidding, kinda like the mk5 supra the more i watch it, as long as it is a straight 6.😎 Your project is sick btw!👍👌 You kinda did it the other way around instead toyota with the mk5 lol.
RK Tunes are honestly doing an amazing job in these videos, they aren't just there doing the labour they've actually contributed to the vlogs. Great work once again.
what a project! we just finished up installing a downpipe on the new supra in our vlogs and that mod alone is enough to turn haters of the car into fans. it's nuts!
Yea the "fake" vents become real vents once you take em off. XD when i hear people bash the car they dont know how is was designed to be. Sold as a "none" sporty sports car to be modified easily into a sports car.
Hahaha. My favorite part was where you said BMW makes things easily serviceable. Maybe on a straight 6 but v8's, v10's, v12's, mini coopers, very much not the case.
@@sleeping2day986 ha ha. So I guess the issue is only on the n54 engine. That's what I have and it was a pain. Took me the whole day to replace the twins.
Patrick94GSR everyone knows the reasons why new autos are better for performance, but the reasons why so many people still want manuals has nothing to do with speed.
When you were talking about the inlet to the air intake at around the 11 min mark, how it was routed, and basically covered up by a kind of conveniently placed piece of plastic and then you questioned whether or not the designers made it like that and then kinda guessed that it was done that way so that maybe they might possibly open it up for a later, newer, possibly more aggressively tuned, and more powerful model was pretty close to the actual intent by the engineers who originally designed the car. Essentially they designed these different vents and ducts, which are capped off by plastic aesthetic trim pieces that are intentionally designed with the expressed purpose of having the car enthusiasts/tuners to remove them and design their own custom ductwork and such to make what are, from the factory, simply aesthetic features to make the car appear more aggressive and pleasing to the eye and make them actual functioning cooling or air intake vents that will improve overall performance and such as designated by the car owner/tuner. Basically, the engineers designed this car with the car enthusiast and tuners, all of their own creative, original, aesthetic, and performance desires, wants, and needs specifically in mind!! I recently watched a video where a group of automotive journalists were brought in to view, test drive, and then have a one on one q&a with the lead engineer on all of the specifics and design features of the car before its release to the public market!! As a matter of fact, you can probably find the video yourself if you do a quick search here on RU-vid, which is where I saw the video to begin with myself. Anyway, sorry for the long winded explanation but, I just thought I'd share that little tidbit of info about this particular feature that you were wondering about. Hope this was helpful and I have enjoyed this video of yours as well!! God bless and keep up the great content!!
JP Performance from germany developed coilovers with KW and has a dope setup on his Supra hit him up he will be able to set you up with nice stuff Edit. You should also visit him :D
@@tonyjenkins896 i know they could probably use his car to make them if they dont have one but also i think they wouldnt be mad at him for using other coilovers on one car
Is anyone saying it doesn't have potential? I mean I know people are hating the car, myself included but that doesn't mean the engine is bad. It's just not a Supra is all
All us albanians love RK tunes in New York 👌🏻 he never even tuned my car but it’s the trust factor and I’ve met him personally . He will give u the exact tune you want. I love how he plays it safe too with the tunes, and really gives u a reliable setup. In Long Island there are a lot of tuners who scam people but RK Jordan is a stand up guy 👍🏼
Adam all the plastic fake vents are meant to be cut out for aftermarket cooling purposes **edit** And keep the plastic engine cover off and have Justin make a Ti exhaust.... **edit II** also Killer Chiller would be a good upgrade to the waterintercooler to have inlet temps way cooler without meth
It's cool seeing you at SK Speed. I've gone there a few times with friends when I still lived on Long Island. I think Long Island/NY car culture is very unique.
The amount of times he says time is driving me insane lmao. “We don’t have time” “We’re running out of time” “Adjust the timing” “We’re a hour pass the time limit” *TIME TIME TIME* 😂😂
