Hey... Don't apologize! In the grand scheme of things this is absolutely nothing. It happens. If you grade and flip it's just a part of the game. In the future I would def break it down a bit. I'd try to keep modern and ultra modern a bit seperate. Nbd... Live and learn... Take the lessons and keep grinding!

That's interesting. My experience is much higher than 40% as are the individuals in my community Discord. I wonder if that isn't because of the cards being sent? Pre 15-16 Gem is def going to drop off quite a bit.

@@lapp3r30shockeycardflips ok so to clarify. Depending on the card. We’ve had subs where we’ve gone way higher. Our October one went over 50% and that’s with prob 25% of the non GEM cards being just stuff we wanted slabbed and knew wouldn’t get a 10. But I’ve generally found with hockey 15-16 and newer that it’s a mixed bag. Cards I wanted to sent to BGS cause I thought it might get a Pristine or Black label cause they looked so good in person, under the microscope and under different coloured lighting have come back as PSA 9 or even 8. And other stuff that was obviously OC or have defects come back a PSA 10. I think population control has far more to do with the grading process for them than people think. So I stopped trying to pick only the perfect cards. They will 9 a bunch of them anyways.

@@SnipeCityCards I see. Ya that makes sense. I'm not sure I agree w the pop control. I think PSA is actually incentivized to give 10s. And I'm not talking about a Jordan Rookie. That would be different and you can see a reason to control those and I'd understand that. Controlling a Cole Caufield PSA 10 doesn't make any sense. But again, it's not the first I've heard of that. To me it doesn't matter much I've seen a pretty consistent return and grades on my cards in the past. I had one other sub that was a bit odd. When machine grading can function properly it will be the main competition for PSA just for the total transparency of the grade which is really hard to believe we don't have already outside of sub grades.

Appreciate that! Some of the OPCP there is. But at 60/40 theres a lot of room w it. If you look at some PSA 10s of any OPCP on eBay you'll see how much they allow go through. The YGs centering isn't an issue.
