Coming from the mainland I have so much respect for Hawai’i. It’s just a different world in the best way, I feel like if I go home to PA the people won’t understand why I talk different now, and have adopted traditions like slippas off in the house, short talk pidgin, casual vibes, rice instead of potatoes lol just so many random things that are just normal to me now. I’m so blessed to see Hawaii from this new perspective. It’s sad that visitors just have no idea what the real Hawai’i is. I’m thankful that big island doesn’t allow the build up like Oahu. It’s sad to see the land covered with homes. I can’t imagine how the original aunties and uncles feel about this but I can guess. I pray there is a way to keep traditions alive and more Hawaiians can get access to homes because like in your other video the one girl says Hawai’i won’t be Hawai’i without Hawaiians ❤

Star can do a show that is similar to the one Makenna Maduli does. There are so many interesting people in Hawaii that could be interviewed. Those of us on the continent really appreciate knowing more about Hawaii up and comers who are changing the world.

Such a beautiful conversation flow. Ms. Dahl-Thurston and Kamaka have great chemistry. She would do so well having her own podcast- the pointed questions she posed and the spectrum of topics discussed would comprise such a refreshing podcast ❤ E ola.

If you want this podcast in Hawaii then put on real people instead of, and I’m assuming , people from punahou and iolani , and people who try to speak pigeon well, and I bet your support of this podcast will rise.

Hope not, what a disgrace to Hawai’i of she is of that bloodline, especially for how hard that family fights to keep Thurston Avenue that name, despite Hawaiians trying to get it changed… they must be proud of the name… I would be ashamed of it.
