Jimmy's mother was my daughter's godmother during her baptism at St.Peters Clavers Church,.... this interview takes me many years back... The Gathus were our immediate neighbors.....am 3 years older than Jimmy...and his mom and my mom are agemates and both have a history with the mau mau....my mom was a social worker with the child welfare society and used to take care of the children' of the mau mau...incidentally we were 9 kids and am the 7th born too.
the way Astar conducts interviews is A level. Respectably, asking the right questions, not focusing in trivialities, indepth, and engaging. Theres no one like Astar when it comes to interviews. Big up CTA.❤🔥
Thanks CTA for this conversation. Childhood trauma is a sensitive topic. Jimmi Gathu thanks for sharing your experiences 🫶🏾🖤💖. Astar you’re a therapist, I hope you know this.🙏🏾🫶🏾
"Cta's Audience is not yet born" Astar you are very attuned to the power of vision, you're approach to this is different that's why this channel stands out

Jimmy has been an inspiration for many years. His song 'why me ' was a favorite for many years. A kind hearted man driven by his passion and talent. Long live Jimmy and keep doing YOU.
This one.... It touched home, it took me back, shocked me, made me happy and sad.... But most importantly made me proud to be of the Era of Jam Jimmi Jam... Thank you Jimmi, Thank you Astar.... And thanks to your 2 Camera Men... What a GREAT CTA!!!
I grow up in that generation. We were also not allowed to eat at neighbours place. I think it was a thing. But chapo days we still did but chini ya maji. Na war vile vile……🏃🏿🏃🏿🏃🏿🏃🏿🙆🏿🙆🏿
Growing up with Jimmy on the screen…l can never tire listening to what I can relate with.Jimmy’s energy 😄 never dims..Blessed to have him as an inspiration. Thanks Richie.
The legend of our times. 'Jimmi Ngaaathu' as its pronounced reminds me of my sister who kept reminding us that 'Jimmi Ngaaathu' is simply James Gathu. And we had a comical neighbour called Gathu by then.
Maze didnt know he curved A LOT of what I watched and listened to in my childhood, and the vulnerability.... waoh..THANK YOU JIMMI. Na bado, onwards and upwards!
Wow! This was indeed a blessing ubarikiwe sana Astar and CTA team. Jimmi (with an I) may you always be blessed and may you never lack "jam Jimmi jam" keep jamming
