Buddha also met his father again at Ayodhya as King Suddhodhana after renouncing his kingdom had come to Ayodhya for penance as advised in the scriptures. South East Asian Buddhists and Korean Kims have special regard for Ayodhya as well due to religious and ancestral links.

Our school tamil textbooks have the meaning of Sanatana Dharma - "அழிவில்லாத நிலையான அறம்" and this is not known by our politicians until one person speaks about this. In response to that, they said they are going to remove this from the textbook......so ignorant politicians, hiding from truth.
There is a place called Ayodhyapattinam in Salem district in Tamilnadu. There is a beautiful Ayodhya Ramar temple there. According to to local legend, it is believed after returning from Srilanka after Ravana vadham, Rama was crowned King( pattabishekam) here in this place before going to the original Ayodhya.

(He didn't care about pregnant sita, read all the harsh word he said to sita) -he refused to accept pregnant sita because he didn't trust her character as she had stayed long time at ravana , he even said to sita to elope with vibhishan. - he like hunting and eating meat. -he deliberately cut surpanakha's ear/nose for no reason. There was no reason for that. He sent her to laxman (the angry man of ramanayan). That was totally unnecessary , ravana kidnapped sita because of that incident. Sir this is for your your reference since Iam from Tamizhnadu there are numerous references for Bhagavan Sri Ram in Tamizh from Ancient times. Since you have mentioned about Nammazhwars Thiruvaimozhi , there is another Azhwar named Kulasekara Azhwar who is one among the 12 Azhwars he is an ardent devotee of Sri Rama and he composed an entire group of Pasurams named Perumal Thirumozhi this is dedicated to Bagavan Sri Ram .

It's Great that you quoted Tiruvaaymozhi, people don't usually know of references of Rama in Tamil scriptures. Sri Rama is mentioned all the way back in Sangam literature like Silappadhikaram, Manimekalai, Purananuru, Agananuru and Paripadal

It is evident that all the purana's were composed by the same publisher.., people who contributed were close knit literary/philosophical scholars of the time no doubt. One can also derive that the works were inspired from real life situations during those times. On a lighter note.., 1000 years from now.., lets say we have a big war and all that remains are physical artefacts (all digital stuff gets destroyed) .. and lets say people find copies of 'marvel comics'.. I bet, New York will be considered as a residence of Spiderman..
