The crowds can be hectic at times, but they make Prague feel alive. I always stayed in the centre when I would visit because I am a night owl, so everyplace I went was in the centre. It's nice to wake up and have amazing architecture outside the hotel, as well as being very convenient. After moving to Prague I found myself exploring the suburbs, but for a short visit, I think the centre is really the way to go when one has limited time. Your brunch was expensive because it is a tourist restaurant, so expect prices to be the same as you would find in Western capital cities. There are also plenty of places in the centre which have more reasonable prices. For instance a restaurant I like in the centre charges 110 for a half liter of beer. My local also in the centre charges 43 for a half liter of tank Pilsner. They are within a 6 minute walk of each other.
Hi Steve. Thanks for leaving your thoughts. 100% agree re: tourists basing themselves in the centre if they’re in Prague for a short time. Absolutely stunning.
