The cape wrath trail is considered to be one of the most challenging long distant hikes in the UK. It's a 230 mile hike through the highlands of Scotland starting at Fort William and ending at the Cape Wrath lighthouse which is the most North Westerly point of the UK. The terrain can be very difficult and navigation skills are a must as parts of the hike have no visible paths. @@HazeOutdoors Hi there, I’ve been loving watching these. I’m looking to do this trail in next couple of years. I came down with Lyme disease few years back and it’s really messed me up. I hear you mention the ticks . Did you get a few bites? It worries me to get back into the wild as I’m now scared to get bitten again. I take it you were constantly checking? MEDIC!!! 😂👌

Cows with calves are far more dangerous than bulls, my mates got a farm on the roman Wall Northumberland and me and my mates younger brother got charged by a Highland that had just had a calf, we walked up to check the calf was OK and she just charged, me and my mate ran into ea h other, tumbled down the hil and luckily she'd stopped her charge, anyway love this walk mate, really appreciate your taking us along....atb Lee

Came over from John's channel. I'm getting set to relocate from London to my home in the Midlands to start my path to becoming an ecologist/park ranger. Having done a lot of bushcraft in my early teens, it's also something I am fully set on getting back into big style, so couldn't have found your channel at a better time!

@@josephblackhall I haven't found work, i'm (with any luck after a foundation year) studying ecology. I'll actually be in NW Leicestershire, which is incredibly rural. We also have many reserves, woods/forests and parks in the area (Beacon Hill, Bradgate Park, Outwoods to name a few), which are all maintained by trusts, mainly National Forest, who I am attempting to volunteer for when covid has cleared up

I get the rain gear issue. I’ve used a rain poncho for just that reason. You can put it on or off while walking.

I’ve switched to the canoe instead of hiking because I’m much older now. Now I only deal with bears an mountain lions and wolves and Lynx stealing my food. Portages is ok in moderation. I love my canoe and paddling now. Great video thanks cheers 👍🇨🇦
