I applied this reading program with both of my children. They were both reading by age 2! This program is fun and effective. Babies are born super-smart and it is our responsibility as parent to not dumb-them-down.

This is not reading...but it is a clear example. When a parent makes a huge effort to teach there children at a infant to toddler stage! Bravo to this mother for all the effort reading to her child...he now recognizes sight words and makes hand gestures and looks up and points to the sight words....which is fantastic at this age! This child will learn to read sooner than his peers....again excellent work to the parents of the baby....

Unlike the left brain that is slower, The right side of the brain has photographic memory function as well as music and creativity If you do an actifity at normal speed, the baby is just using the left side of the brain If you do it so fast, the baby will turn on the right side if its brain to cope with the speed So it have to be fast

Does the speed play a big factor in how he memorizes the words and images ?

Well, aren't we smart, so many ways to go, so many options, and in the end we think we got it right, but it is only because we fool ourselves to believe in our possibilities. What we see here is a mother and a child interacting, it works because both are willing to cooperate and react with one another - the child is not reacting to the book, and it is not reading it is the mother, experiments have shown this extensively, it only works with the mother's interaction. If you love your child or children, get them to interact with you, games that make fun, sing songs and tell little funny stories, get the child in a happy chatty mood ask questions and react with approval when you receive an answer, make corrections as part of the game, don't insist it's game not work, show the child that you love to play and be together touch and hug the child comfort and cuddle and be happy and chatty if you do this whenever you are together with the child you will get the child you want the child you love.

Mommy doesn't really let Zeke read, she turns the page so quickly. Zeke is like:"yeah mom, whatever you say"...😁😃 Zeke memorizes all the things she tells in the story? Either way he's still very intelligent baby😊

Fifty years ago I heard about Dr Glenn Doman teaching Down's Syndrome infants of 18 months to read using flash cards. I bought the set and used it to teach/play with my eldest two. They loved it. Today they are still avid readers, and above average intelligent. It can work on any child. Thank you for bringing back memories!

She turns the pages fast because babies are able to visually see images as fast as they are presented to them. She is correct to do it this way. Babies are only limited by the limitations the parents put on them.

I'd like to know how Zeke is ok with keeping all those books and paper work on that book shelf? Every single day, my little 14 month old baby girl will take out all or most of the books on her bookshelf and just let them lay all over the floor or try to play with them and stack them herself. Sometimes she gets frustrated when they don't stack right. Ha. I pick them up and place them back in the shelf and she will just take them out again. It drives me crazy. Haha.
