The bottom guides are a bear to adjust. Otherwise the saw is great. I have used mine for a month now to re saw and make some bandsaw boxes. I feel you would be happy with the saw once you get the blade guides adjusted you are set to the need for a blade change comes again.
the accessibility to the lower guides is limited, definitely NOT easy. what is missing in an earlier episode of the series is that prior to installing the table you should make sure that the lower assembly guides lockdown screws are loosene. Once you have the table installed, if those lockdown nuts are tight from the factory, it's frustratingly difficult to loosen them. I almost had to go back and remove the table, but I realized that I couldn't do that with the band saw blade and place so what I ended up doing was tilting the the table top backards and that gave me enough room to finally finagle the lrear lockdown bolt that slides the guide forward and backward. The rear one was impossibly tight and I almost had to use pliers on it, but i didn't want to ruin the lockdown bolt so i perservered until i worked it loose. also, the mentioning of moving the lockdown Bolt for the sliding the rear ceramic guide from the rear of the guide assembly to the front of the machine should be addressed be prior to putting the table on because the only way to get it off was to tilt the table forward to the 45 degree position otherwise it hits the underside of the table and you can't get the bolt out. I do think that once these are loosened access is easier but not easy. Space is limited.
Gotta agree. Adjusting the lower guides is best done with the table off. Despite assertions in the video to the contrary, loosening and tightening the bolts is quite difficult with the table on. The guides on mine don't line up really well anyway.
