Thanks for making the video. I have an old 14" Jet (Delta clone), three years ago I cobbled together a dust box under the table using wood and hot glue and the port is held on with bungies. It makes a remarkable difference. Your design is much more elegant, well done. If I ever have to revisit what I cobbled together I am going to leverage what you have done. I have wanted an outfeed for many years but never thought this approach would be strong enough, after seeing yours attached to the saw I am going to give it a try.

Made one with cheap magnets and was not happy . Bought Rare Earth magnets and made a second one and it was perfect. What a difference . Thanks and i will pass this on and give you credit for such a great modification.

Good mods. I just bought this bandsaw and resawing was terrible. My 2.5" dust collection didn't have enough air flow and clogged. I tried just plugging off part of the 4" hole inside with just duct tape and it completely fixed it. Now I'm going to do a permanent one with plywood. Good catch.

The dust collector is a 2hp wall mounted cyclone with 6" metal pipe on the ceiling. There's about 25' of pipe between the bandsaw and dust collector. A shop vac might work on the new port only, but it wouldn't have the lungs to run both ports at once. Thanks

I only have a Craftsman shop vac and it works GREAT with the dust collection modification. I blocked off the existing port that I have reduced to 2" for the shop vac and can go back to that if I need to tit the table. Thanks so much.

I really like the table extension! Do you use the low profile side of the resaw fence?

I don't find myself using the fence in flat mode. I usually just use my custom everyday fence, or the tall fence for resawing. Thanks

Nice modifications. What are you using for a dust collector? I'm wondering if you'd get better collection from the undertable port using a shop vac.

Nice mods. I plan to duplicate them on my saw. Is the the blast gate on the 2 1/2 in port needed? Are there situations you would shut it off?

@@brostraveldreams743 You could get by without the 2-1/2" port, but it helps in some situations. For instance you take the dust port off to tilt the table. In that case it helps to close the 2-1/2" gate and still get some collection through the factory port. Thanks!
