Love love love this creation. I feel inspired to try this in my drab bathroom. It’s going to be my 62 birthday on Tuesday and the family will be celebrating as I missed my 60th due to CoVid. I’d really love for you all to send me Bday wishes as my dear friend has passed, and I feel so low with life at the moment. I’m Sending you all kind wishes and Love&Light xxx Caro
I think that the gold off center makes the entire piece more beautiful and interesting. Without its a bit uniform and boring in my opinion. I think it’s beautiful!
I think it is gorgeous. I think maybe next time do the fiery paste as is and just a tiny bit of gold in the yellow, no gold glass in the center and no swirl to see how it comes out. But still this piece is really pretty. It looks like a mum. I really enjoy watching you experiment. It is cool how it bloomed in straight lines.
Outstanding!!!! You really create some of the most decorative and beautiful pieces of work! Show yourself some grace, your errors are always great looking! I can't wait for the next lesson, your such an inspiration!
That looks AMAZING!!! I worried the yellow might be too bright but it blends so beautifully with the red/orange. And I agree you really don't need the gold in the center. In a white or pink it would look like a chrysanthemum. Gorgeous Julie. You're making me actually want to try this :)
I have to admit you have me hooked on soo many different things with resign...I'm totally loving all that you do and I wish I could have got to meet you when I was over last Dec, Jan and February....my son and his wife live in Adelaide but travelling to meet you would have been awesome....and the facts that you have dogs I thought it would have be totally amazing. I'm loving all the new ideas with wall panels and making high back vase in loops ..just totally loving it. So maybe in two years when I get back to Australia I would really love to meet you and have lunch and maybe a wee craft afternoon.... Open offer if you ever come to Scotland... We love you over here ...keep up the great work xxxxxc
Wow Julie, I wasn’t expecting that at all!! But it is absolutely cool and I love the colors! I do agree that the gold doesn’t fit with it! I can see this with blues and greens or purples! Amazing work Julie, thank you for sharing!!
Wow! I love it! Those colors together are my favorite mix. I love autumn 🍂. Doing the yellow on top of the red created an amazing effect and the result is beautiful! I’m so glad it bloomed all the way through, I know you were disappointed when your clock didn’t bloom in the middle. When you put so much effort and materials into a piece it is really disheartening when you’re unhappy with it. Years ago made a 3’X5’ft. stained glass window for a client that was just horrendous! The owner of the studio I worked at insisted I use his design and his color choices.. and both were just abysmal. Thankfully I didn’t supply the materials but, the effort was mine. To this day I cringe just thinking about it. We tend to be our own worst critics.. everyone else just saw a beautiful clock! I can’t wait to see you do another one. Great job!
@Funo Oh, that is so sad, Funo! What a huge waste of an Artist's time and talent! Ugh! So sorry that happened because it IS disheartening! ❤ Your "client", obviously NOT an Artist!, should have described what he saw in his mind and then let you interpret it in a pleasing way. Just curious...what did he think of the final product?
@@fairyspunfibers9098 Thanks Fairyspun Fibers, your right it is sad when you really dislike a piece that you’ve put a great deal of effort and a part of yourself into. In this instance I did my very best to make sure the craftsmanship was as good as I could make it. Stained glass windows are not cheap and I didn’t want the clients to have an awful design with clashing stained glass and.. a poorly made window. When they arrived to pick it up and saw it.. there was this uncomfortable silence. I breathed a sigh of relief, thinking they were going to refuse to take it. I’m sure in that moment the owner/my boss realized it too. So, he quickly gestured to me and praised “my artisan abilities” as if I was solely responsible for that horror show.. which left them in a very awkward position (as he intended). I responded by telling them if they didn’t like it we’d make them another one (which should have gotten me fired😂). I asked them repeatedly “If they were sure” in a tone that more than implied I wouldn’t blame them one bit if they demanded an entirely new window but, they ended up taking it. I was furious he’d used me to manipulate the clients like that and there were words.. lots of words!😂 But, those words insured that he never tried that again and I never made another window that wasn’t my design or the design of my two very capable co-workers. I absolutely loved my job. The stained glass store/studio I worked at was the only one in the city and we got to work on some great projects. However working for a narcissistic boss in an artistic capacity can be.. challenging.😂 But, I’d do it again if I could.. in a heartbeat.😊Sorry for the long winded reply!
How are the puppies, will you be doing an update video soon???? I loved seeing the birthing video! They were too cute, and you did a great job staying calm and helping the momma pup! Love your videos for the resin designs! You create amazing artwork!! Take care!!!
OHMIGOSH! Who'd a thunk it, Julie!? The back is AMAZING! Eeeee! And the front? Well, shut the front door!!! 😊❤ I love, love, love those colors! The orange/red is perfect, and the yellow is, too! A lighter yellow would not have blended nearly so well, and might have gotten lost altogether, yeah? I see what you mean about the gold glass chips not being needed, but it's still sooo pretty! Really lovely piece, it is. 😊
I love the colors. I kind of like the effect with the small petals just as much as I like the bigger petals. It's beautiful, even with the blobs. It looks more organic
As you were piping the yellow I couldn't stop thinking about ketchup and mustard, lol. Sorry 🤪 Ooooooo, it's blooming already. OMG, what a difference between wet and dry! Amazing the way it pulled in. Soooooooo, pretty. Looks like a colorful dandelion. xoxoox
It’s beautiful. I did notice after you put the brown alcohol ink in the Centre, you cleaned your counter. As soon as you sprayed your counter, some must have splatter on your resin because the brown ink danced around a bit. (I rewound cause I wondered what was happening to the ink 😉)
Definately reminds me of a chrysanthemum love it and yes I agree no gold centre , maybe an amber brown centre would look good ? Loved it regardless we’ll done Julie xx
Just stunning! I think the orange without the red would also look fantastic. And I love how strong that yellow looks. I have a few of the color passion shimmers, and love them. Now I want that orange. Lovely, lovely work, my dear!
Thanks! I really love you teaching me a better way to get my resin look better! You taught me about temperature and time and how important it is to know! I love your channel!!!
