On the Saturday evening of the SVR Autumn Gala I dropped into Bridgnorth to do some night shots. I was just in time to catch 1450 about to set back having ground to halt whilst attempting to leave Platform 2 with four teak coaches. She eventually got away with a pyrotechnic display.

Another excellent night scene, thanks Alan, with loads of interest and a spectacular finish. I think the amount of crew interest in the lower right-hand side of 1450 would suggest more than just a slippage problem, but not knowing makes this all the more interesting... Kind regards, Bob.

A nice bit of unexpected 'entertainment' there Alan. I love the different atmosphere of 'trains in the night' as much as I did in my firing days & wearing my rose tinted specs lol. Best Wishes, Brian.

Thanks Brian, I enjoy filming in the dark too, there are less distractions! As for the rose tinted specs, I think that we've all got a pair of those. Kindest regards Alan

1450 had a Brake issue

I thought that that might be the problem when the driver got down and, in the time honoured fashion, gave the brakes a good kick!

Was it slipping Alan or was it having difficulty with the heavy load

I'm not sure as it was at a stand when I arrived. It normally manages four ok.

@@Parsound theres a very steep incline out of Bridgnorth, nearly every loco struggles with it
