The Southern Scuffle was and has remained one of the premier regular season events in college wrestling. After UNCG dropped their wrestling program UTC took over this prestigious event and it continues to bring in some of the top talent and match ups in the history of the sport.

he looked like the dumber wrestler the entire match. took more shots but they were all that same high crotch with no setup or adjustments until the last minute with the single solid double attempt

@@tyhatfield7156 all i could see was a wrestler execute a game plan. Its fun to see guys flying around scoring points. But the objective is to win. If that requires slowing the match or being defensive so be it.

Watch the ncaa championship match next year. Dake physically dominated him from whistle to buzzer. Rode him over 6 minutes, rubbed his face in the mat, picked him up over his head, 3 times, and mat returned him. Beat him 8 - 1, total domination

of all the places to get a stalling call I'm not sure defending the single is where it should've been given. but when he was walking straight back to the edge shouldve gotten a couple.

It was a good match, but definitely stalling calls should have made. It would of really made a difference in the match.

@@robhix1522 "pushing the pace" interesting choice of words. In competitive matches against top tier opponents, Dake works to look busy but rarely takes a shot. He made a career out of defense and counterattacks. And if the other guy doesn't initiate... So yeah, no.

7:29 singlet grab by Molinaro. He would have lost but 3 in this match or by 2 if deducted a point. Surprising how many times Molinaro could get to Dake's legs from an overhand tie. I'm surprised Dake couldnt readjust to that. Also, Molinaro could not finish the take down. Truly a chess match.

Whoever that ref is he needs to never ref again. That was absolute garbage on his part. Dake stalled basically the whole match. Molinaro pushed forward and shot 3 times to Dakes half shots. Wow.

All the Penn state homers on here beggin' for the ref to hand their boy a win. Never leave a match in the hands of a ref. Go win it. Molinaro must have pissed Dake off something major since Dake hung 6 minutes and 30 seconds of riding time on him in the NCAAs.

Weird. The match I watched the guy in blue won. Blue was crazy strong. I see why they call him the hulk. Pushed red all over the mat. Red was all defense.
