All of a sudden, my old drunken idea of an "American Psycho" board game (ages 3 and up!) doesn't seem so far-fetched. Hey, you just landed on "Don't Stare At It, Eat It!"
My friend's little sister had a baby secret doll and that damn thing was next too me and started talking on it's own it flippin freaked me out. I've hated dolls ever since.
Hey Laura, one minor correction, #1 would have been created by either Takara *OR* Tomy in 1992, as the two companies didn’t merge until 2006. Going by the logo on the box (bottom right corner @ 15:30 ) it’s Takara 👍🏼
Laura Legends the one and the only to make our week better with her love to entertain and take care of others, we don't deserve so marvelous and incredible woman
I love these toys! I remember the 3:28 Evil Stick - the laugh is the Joker laugh used in The Joker laugh ball you could buy from the first Batman film. The laugh was also used in the Saw movies. Sleep tight! 5:00 No relation to Good Charlotte - Sah-preeze! :) 6:00 Baby Secret - when I was in elementary school, I knew a girl who had this doll & the speaker inside came loose, soooooo if you shook it or if it was moved on the shelf a little bit it would whisper one of its sayings. Her father beat the ever loving shit out of it & when it went off on it's own, when he checked in on her daughter in the middle of the night. Baby Secret. F**k You. 7:14 What happens when your Titanic doesn't inflate? "Uh, yeah, I just rented the Titanic balloon & it doesn't blow up. No, I know it sinks, but, it doesn't blow up! No,no. I KNOW it sinks! Ah, gawd!" 10:00 Yano looks like the creature from the movie Troll. 11:00 "Wow!! I can't wait to play the game where I spend most of my time waiting to get a roll of toilet paper only to trade them for tampons!" Kolejka is the best game ever! Said no one ever. 12:07 Fofao=Scrotum Devil Doll 14:50 Deer Hunter The Game!
I got Yano at a garage sales 2 years ago for $5 not knowing anything about him. I liked it because it looked like something from the worlds of Henson and Froud.
I'm weak, lmao. As a parent my daughter has had toys that made random noises at random times but if I were to hear that baby secret whispering in the dark I would seriously shot the damn thing. That things seems legitimately more scare then the Annabelle movie doll. I love these videos Laura, such cool toy history.
Each and every doll that is on this list were meant for horror movies. Especially the whisper doll. That thing sounds like it would just start whispering on its own.
I remember seeing the Yano commercial as a child ONCE on t.v. and being absolutely petrified. I thought it was a fever dream since I never saw it in stores or on tv again, but now this video confirms this thing was real
The sinking Titanic had to be my personal fave, that actually would’ve been fun to me as a kid fr haha most of the other stuff is just Nightmare Fuel ⛽️ Besides the hilarious humor you sprinkle in along the way like a 🧚♀️ with pixie dust. Another Great video *@Laura Legends* , Big love from Oklahoma ♥️
Oh geez! The toys that we give to our children! Some of them are ludicrous and some downright dangerous! But the booty shaking llama is simply hilarious!!! Thanks for sharing, sweet Laura! Xxxxxx
Ha! You forgot about Mattel's baby say and see! Another great talking doll with wonderful phrases, like; "I can see through ANYTHING" And "Wouldn't it be fun if you were a doll like me?"
Oh GOD that clip from 'The Deer Hunter' actually made me jump! "Which of these toys spoke to you..." Gee thanks Laura now I'm gonna have to sleep with the light on as well as see a therapist.
I saw an ad for that booty shaking llama a while ago and thought "Who the heck would buy such a dumb thing for their kid?! It's twerking!" Then I found out a family from church had bought one for their daughters. I guess some people view it as kids-rude, rather than suggestive. 😅
YOOOOOOOOO THE TITANIC BOUNCY SLIDE WAS AT MY ELEMENTARY SCHOOL EVERY YEAR ON PLAY DAY. You unlocked a memory dude. We had one day a year where they'd let all the kids in the school have a day off to play on all these inflatable obstacle courses, bounce houses, inflatable slides, but the biggest one was always the Titanic slide! We lived it as kids, we didn't realize it was bad till about 3rd or 4th grade but we rode it anyways all the way through 6th grade till we moved on to middle school and lost out on play days. Play days were legit, they had a giant concession stand with every candy and soda you could want. It was a kid's dream! This took place from the years Fall 2000 for my kindergarten till Spring 2008.
Fofão was huge here in Brazil among children. Fofão (means Big Fluffy) was created and played by late actor Orival Pessini who also created the mask.. He debuted in the childrens show Balão Mágico (Magic Ballon) a Mickey Mouse Club kind of show. Everyone had a Fofão Doll. It came in various sizes and the urban legend was famous. This pointy plastic stick was to keep his head up inside the body (wich was fluffy). Because it was a huge sucess of sales, this urban legend was "created" to hurt the sales. They said some dolls came with a knife for black magic rituals! lol
WOW! A lot to unpack in this video. So many interesting/disturbing items. I think it’s wild that there was a Polish board game about living in a communist society, hilarious in a bit of an uncomfortable way that there was a Jewish version of guess who ( I kinda want to play it), and fucked up that there’s a Russian roulette toy gun in Japan. Also, Yano looks like a trippy 80’s Fantasy character, like one from Labyrinth, and Fafao is quite possibly one of the most horrifying things I’ve ever seen, and he’s also literally “Manbearpig” which is awesome! Great video, one of your best in my opinion!
WOW, Laura! Where do you find this stuff? Some of these are weird and some of these are just crazy! The toy gun is just insane. My favorite one is the Booty Shakin' Llama! You never see that!
Ok i remember we had some REALLY weird looking characters in kids live shows in greek tv and shuch. But who would thought that this fofao character would be cute for the kids to watch???
Hey Laura! Fellow Canadian collector here. New to this channel but really enjoy back vids to. The lines you collect are very close to the stuff I like. When I was a kid I had a bunch of Jurassic Park stuff. Dilophasaur, velociraptor and a Sam Neill figure. Keep up the dope ass content Lady Legend!
Say whaaat?!?! moments for me. 12. Evilstick. Just... why? 10. Baby Secret. Sooo creepy! 1. Kaba Kick. Sure, it's Russian Roulette for kids, but so is Hot Potato.... if the potato was a hand grenade.
So for over a decade I have had a Frozen Charlotte I exhumed running electrical cable out to my garage. Thank you for helping make mythology of my house even weirder 👍
But we've always lived at the castle. Seriously Laura , this was an awesome list ! That sweet secrets doll would give chucky a run for the money ! Again , Thanks .
Yano=chewbacca & yodas lovechild, fofao=chuckys creepy uncle! Baby secret & evil stick, what in the world were they thinking! Jewish guess who? Is your person circumsised? That titanic slide tops it,imagine a kid jumping off the back shouting ‘look mummy,i’m the man who hit the propeller’! 😂🚢🌊
The number 7 in Italy is called "Guess Who?" and is a hugely successful game born in Great Britain with the original name of "Guess Who?" I have Yano it is fantastic!
At first I thought the Llama was weird, and then the poop flinging thing came along, and the secret speaking doll. Geez Laura they're all purty unusual. Who in the heck thought up Yano, that thing is scary as hell, ha ha.
I mean I was expecting Japan to take the W, and they came close with "My Junior Suicide Gun" but....gotta say......that Whisper doll is straight outa Hades lol. >_>
