Please check the amazing art inspired by the last video (19:52). Thank you so much for everyone who took the time to create these beauties. You are incredible!!!
Omg the memories. I to was given she-ra. I also found it funny how Battlecat was basically a scary cat before prince adam transformed. "By the power of Greyskull!"
You SHOULD be proud! Paint mixing and color matching is REALLY difficult! I'm studying to be a nail tech and the purple chrome armor reminded me of what we do with nails. To make chrome nails, we do a gel top coat, cure it with UV lamp, then burnish chrome powder into it. There are also gel polishes that are already chrome but idk about putting nail polish on an action figure. 😅 Not sure if that helps at all, but maybe it'll give you some ideas!
I'm simple, I see Skeletor I click so fast, he's my all time favorite ❤. Great work, love the usual background information on the product and especially love the jazz assortment this time around!
Now i just want to see more MOTU restoration. My daughter loves to paint her lol dolls, but she would not paint Skeletor we got last year. He is just perfect the way he is.
Cool to see how 3D printing can be used to help restore the accessories for older toys since those are usually the things that are lost first with toys like these.
Honestly, in my opinion, although I am not into MOTU or any of that stuff, it's honestly cool to see restorations/customs that are not ponies! You did a GREAT JOB on this one! Skeletor looks AWESOME! Oh, and by the art at the very end of the video, I can tell people got *veeeeeery inspired* by your work on the trans G1 pony.
I'm so glad you enjoyed the video even if it was a different line. This definitely inspired me to keep trying different toy lines that need repair :) :)
@@RetroGeekCrafts😭 Love the Christal Horses from Princess Of Power! They are almost similar to Barbie horses. If i know how to fix them, i could fix a lot of my childhood memories. 😢❤ Sorry
Skeletor was my favorite when I was a toddler! And actually I just got a new puppy who's a very thin boy (post-injury that prevented baby from eating for a while, so he's not a reascue, been getting the best care possible all his life in fact) and I jokingly call him Skeletor all the time so seeing this was a great surprise :3
CHE...!!! Relindo ver tu canal crecer y crecer en cada video. es adorable y aun esperando tu video sobre restauración de barbies vintage. Un beso desde Paris 🥰
Normally I don't like villains, but I love Skeletor. He was and he still is my favourite villain. I like how he laugh and how he make funny mimics. He's just a funny villain and I just can't dislike him.
First of all, this was really cool. I’m sure my brother had this toy when he was little so there was something very nostalgic about it. And secondly, thank you so much for sharing my art! I’m overjoyed that you liked it ☺️
Skeletor!!!! I loved him in the OG series, and in almost any incarnation of the franchise. Please, if you can get your hands on more of the He-Man toys, show us! Me and my mom are very hardcore fans of the series.
ALL the nostalgia toy goodness! You really brought Skeletor back to...un-life? But anyway- it looks amazing! I will forever envy your paint colour-matching skills :D
Great to see you give some of your restorative talent to different toy lines. I definitely think this Skelly was a Garden toy to an 80's kid, probably kept in the shed with the rest of the outdoor toys. Absolute filth made good. Great job. 🎉
When I was little, we went to the playground at the Park. The boys always played MOTU at the sandbox(?). I wished myself a He-Man to take part in that game. Never been. But He-Man was the boy friend to my Barbies, before I got money to buy Ken. 😅🫣😂
I mentioned it below, but in case it gets buried, you might try acrylic nail polish and powder. There are chrome powders in different shades that brush on and look exactly like smooth metallic surface. I love your videos; you always do amazing work and I love to see it!
Read you restore a P.O.P. a few years ago? Need to watch it! 😳 I would love to see Panthor coming alive again! ❤ Got a He-Man, when I was little. I was jealous to the boys at the playground. 😅 He has a tape, no comic. But wait! I was about four. Couldn't read at this age. Maybe there was a comic?... 🤔 Was a great fan of Princess Of Power. When my father died (ii was eight), my friend gave me a Christal Spirit horse. It has a very special place in my heart and life. Need to restore it one day. Maybe you will guide me? The paintings at the end are just... very special! Thought i have to choose, but i can't! Every one was so special in their own way! 😍😍😍
I think you could make something really cute out of press on nails. They don't even have to be fully functional nails, the more dramatic the better. It just feels like a combo of retro Greek stuff and nails. I believe they even make little albums to store and display your nail sets.
Spooky scary Skeletors, send showing their manicures. That was a good and very needed cleaning. I didn't grow up with He-Man. Was aware it existed for cable channel reruns (I think it was Cartoon Network?) and stories of my older cousins growing with them. I only purchased my first MOTU-related toy like two weeks ago.
have you ever considered using nail polish to paint metallic/glittery areas? youll need to thin it with acetone of course but i used some on my ponies and it lools great
Hi! Fellow customizer/restorationist here! Nail polish may look nice for a few pics, but it won't hold up very well over time and will start to chip off of things like rubber and plastics. Metallic paints or chrome powders are the way to go.
As a trans collector of MLP and Skeletor figures, I've felt very catered to with these last two videos of yours haha. You did an amazing job! I definitely wouldn't complain if you decided to do more MOTU restorations and/or customizations. :>
For the purple chrome: what matchbox car restorers do is they make the car Super Shiny and smooth and then add translucent color on top, so maybe paint it silver chrome then add purple?
In the future, perhaps pick up some translucent pearl paints and/or iridescent glazes to get the effect you were looking for on the armor, they have the fine sheen you were attempting to replicate, and the reflection color comes in basically every shade of the rainbow. Also it hasn't actually been an issue you've run into thus far (so far as I'm aware) but it seems like useful information given what you do: if you ever need to replicate a flexible part for a restoration, there are actually rubber-like uv cure resins that you can buy for 3d resin printers.
this might be weird but your videos are great to watch while having a migraine because they're calm 😭 also love the variety! ponies are great but other stuff is great too.
Omg, I love your videos with voice. You so adorable and such a good creator and blogger! (sorry, if I made mistake, English is not my native language 👉👈)
Also if you are interested in the comics that came with the he-man comics that came with the toy Dark Horse Comics released two book that have all the comics in them. I've read them and they also have a lot of information about behind the scenes stuff and differences with international releases.
Oh this was unexpected, but amazing Job! Have you reconsidered Doing Transformers toys restorations? I would love to see that as a Transformers Fan And I already do that heheh
despite being a 90s kid i have a lot of fond memories of motu. skeletor may have something to do with me being gay absolutely fantastic restoration, love how the claws turned out especially. more non-pony restorations would be totally welcome
If anyone is looking for something similar to Cif because it's not available near them, oven cleaner paste should work similarly, just be gentle with it!
