I hope you enjoy this compilation of 15 of my favorite and strangest SCPs! Watch these and you'll see that there's often much more to many SCPs than you first expected
The tests done on 054 crossed the line, no doubt. Being one of the original SCPs, it's stories like this one that led to the "canonical" formation of the Ethics Committee.
Ethics are a repromand for future thoughts, denying methods used previously to explore the world. Given time, those ethics change. They're mutable, much like morals and change with knowledge. What if those ethics change due to knowledge gained by breaking those ethical boundaries, rendering the ethical concerns unfounded. Do we limit ourselves where others don't, or are we more civilized? That ethics change from country to country is even more problematic. People don't care unless it affects 5hem or is in their garden.
There is nothing ethical about kidnapping, termination on site, mind wiping, using humans (D-Class) as bait, sacrifice, or disposable tools, experiments that are borderline torture, etc. so let's not pretend the SCP foundation are the good guys. They're not bad necessarily either. They're just a containment agency that do extensive research on what they apprehend. They do a lot to protect the world from dangers we couldn't possibly comprehend but also do things that most consider wrong as in SCP 054's case.
Wait SCP 069 actually seems so sweet. It gives not only the person but their loved ones closure before finally leaving this world. Even if it isn’t really an actual organism - it’s concept is just so wholesome
I love how so many SCP stories are like: "But that was not a monkey. That was a Foundation operative undercover in Sarajevo to watch out for anamolous Matryoshka dolls in the area."
But that was not an scp agent, that was scp12345; an scp who likes to pretend to be an scp agent to spy on other scps. This scp is classified as keter due to it causing havoc in the Foundation. It's skills to imitate the appearance of anything made it even difficult to contain. *No one has ever seen its true form.*
But that was not his phone that’s SCP 69420 it likes to mimic itself as other household objects if you interact with its very anomalous there’s 99.9% chance off warping through reality yet staying in there own the 0.1% is sent 123 SUSSY 69 Obama Alabama lane where reality benders live. This is Apollyon since it’s impossible to found out which real the fake will start acting anomalous and if the choose wrong one they will be 69 years old and won’t age again if they choose the right one it will change faster than the speed of light to switch around and and it does mean you choose correctly and you be very anomalous and will be on Keter duty.
A mother hugs her precious baby before putting him to bed, he slumbers and the wakes up. He is actually an undercover SCP agent who is investigating various anomalies that have been happening in the area
To be fair the Ethics committee, doesn't uphold morals are more like "for the greater good" they will 100% sacrifice babies to contain a world ending entity.
Poor water nymph, she was actually genuinely trying to be friendly with the boy and providing him a motherly figure after he lost his. The Foundation completely ruined that one for us
Yeah, then the SCP foundation takes her and tortures the shit out of her for “science.” Easily the most disappointing way the foundation has handled an SCP.
That d-class in that D-class in the 2385 story is the most badass D-class to ever live, he basically just became one of the few competent horror movie protagonists.
IKR, so many questions like just how tailored specific towards targets of gender, because the boys scenario had every element necessary to allure him inside the archway and is that a requirement based on the gender of the centipede capturing males if the centipede is a male or vice versa depending on the centipedes needed acquisition of testosterone or estrogen by their victims for the centipedes development, not just nutrition? The adolescent girls expression looked just as enticed as the boy was indicating her enticement visions were just as specific and tailored!
I am absolutely certain that the SCP 054, The Water Nymph, is a perfect example of how the Foundation pushes motto of "Cold, not cruel" to its absolute limit. The Nymph was originally incredibly happy, would regularly try to engage in conversation would staff, and if anything seemed to greatly enjoy its enclosure. But the Foundation chose to make the situation worse, torturing it time and time again, until it gained a now permament hatred for the male staff within its current location, and it would not surprise me if the moment it trusted the staff enough to conduct tests again, the Foundation would not hesitate to torture her even more
I'd think it was before the ethic comitte interfered, and whit the previous background they would ensure SCP-054 wouldn't suffer the same treatment. Altought, that's ultimatly debetable.
“SCP-054 was classified as Euclid” well yeah anyone would retaliate if they experienced the same things SCP-054 did. She was just a nice pretty water lady and they really said “let’s try to freeze her and douse her with acid just for funsies”
The human-worm scps ending was surprisingly wholesome, it’s as if the People who’ve died in that slimy cave might still had slight human consciousness.
I am absolutely in love with the SCP lore, so much detail and believable situations it really makes me wonder if something like this actually exists somewhere in our world or another
@@timtierackic1078 you must be young and impressionable if you actually think any of these are real. if so, get off this app and stop watching this stuff. your obviously too young to watch jt and shouldn’t be engaging in disillusions. it’s all fake and is just good story writing.
@@nathanreed7242 while I do believe these specific creatures dont exist, we never know what is possible in this world, I mean there's an entire universe we havent explored, we really have no idea what exists
d-11424 from the Somewhere in the Between story is a badass. He was able to live amongst the SCP and help them get to their destination safely and he ended up leaving the tunnel safely as well.
I like how most D-Class personnel are basically treated as sacrificial pawns, but upon retrieving D-11424 they went "Damn you're good at this, we're not wasting you on random bullsh*t, you're going in the special exploration team!" Edit: changed "pans" to "pawns"
i find it extremely amazing, he likely managed to communicate through actions and show he was here to help them, and gain the affection of the friendly ones. im guessing what happened is he protected the one who got the the orb and it somehow spread, maybe through a language only it understood. seeing the human in not so human creatures is nice
My theory is that those SCPs in a way are the consciousness of people who are in comas which are why new ones appear. The aggressive ones are the burdens they must over come to wake up, and the docile ones are the lost spirits. Probably not how the SCP world works, but this is coming from someone who rarely indulges in SCP stuff.
The one about 054 is definitely a rough one. But it's so well done. It starts out seeming like a normal entry, like here's this weird thing, let's tell you all about it, but as you go through it you realize that this entry isnt REALLY about the SCP... it's really about the Foundation itself. It's about their behaviors and ethics and such, and the question of how far do they NEED to go in order to do their job of protecting the world from anomalies? And the question of whether or not some researchers might be going TOO far, getting unnecessarily cruel... yet there's also the fact that nothing is in place to stop them from doing that. It's just another day of typical work and research at the SCP Foundation. Though of course due to the nature of the whole thing, this part definitely can change based on the writer. A great entry in any case.
Tip for portal users: 1) Throw something (rock, stick, grass) into the portal & Wait for any reaction. 2) Use a dead or alive animal that can go in and out of the portal & Wait for any reaction. 3) Stick your head through the portal first, so you can see where you are going (if something kills you, death will be instantaneous at least). 4) Enter the Portal.
@@AVspectre I've tried to assume all possible worlds, including the ones without technology. Head first is the best way to detect damage as soon as possible besides granting us a swift death in the worst case. :)
I was unreasonably shocked to see that the woman Candice was looking at while she was in trial and was to be burnt was her secret lover. My god Dr. Bob, you've done it again. You've made me unreasonable happy and surprised.
bruh, that D-class in SCP 2385 was an absolute chad. not only did he survive, mans learned to thrive down there. found what the creatures were looking for, and came back out. sounds like he is their exploratory expedition expert at this point hahaa. respecc
This is probably just me, but the weird worms with the skinless and human faces are- kinda cute? Like, when they nuzzle each other, it’s almost sweet. If a little grotesque-
054's treatment was unjustified and cold. it was willing to participate until they tried to take some water from its actual body mads and the use of a taser was super cruel
It unintentionally showed that the Foundation can be as bad if not worse then the GOC in that often times their research staff will knowingly cause harm to both human and supernatural being just to sate their curiosity. Simplistic and brutal as it may be, the GOC's standard procedure of simply destroying any anomalies they find is a mercy compared to being intentionally held against your will and subjected to inhumane experimentation until you expire or the whims of your captors change.
The same people that make the infographics videos make SCP vids too, they're cool. I'm not into the rubber ones, I don't like the animation style and sometimes the words aren't read correctly, it is hard for me to get lost in them like Dr Bobs.
The SPC's are a perfect example of how the human mind can take ANY given person, place or thing and turn it into your worst nightmare - and, people love it! These are some of the most creative I've ever heard. The animation goes along way here too. Very cool. Can you imagine.."what if"? What if there really was an organization like that? Maybe there is. To all 'myth', there's some spark of truth. And, with the advent of the internet, now that list is endless..I remember when the first group of about 2,000 SPC's were first uploaded. There was SO much controversy as to whether they were real or not. People went to all ends of the earth trying to dig up any info they could to validate or debunk them. I could easily see how people were taken by it. These rival anything found in Hellyweird and, personally, in my opinion, they surpass it and these are created by anybody talented enough to create them. Hellyweird has been rehashing everything for years now and they seem to have run out of ideas. Instead of re-stealing the same old shit, they should consult some new talent from these lists. Wouldn't you agree? The animation clearly demonstrates that they could potentially be the new 'Twilight Zones' for the new millennium. Very well presented here and DEFINITELY worthy of a thumbs up and script!
I know an Zachary Callahan. He was an exchange Student from the U.S. He lived during his exchange year near me. We often met to talk and play video games. Sadly he needed to go back and we lost contact. I tried to contact him but the number he gave me wasn´t correct.^^ I like this channel. The animation quality is good and the narrator too.
The emotional range the girl in the beginning of 693 manages to go through, to such extremes in such a short time, rather display a really much more terrifying thing than the doll. It's called Crazy.
You're doing a great job. Are you collaborating with other SCP animation channels? I think all of the story-telling and animation prowess behind various organizations could be combined to create truly awe-inspiring stories and short films.
d-11424 is legit the best person ever, He learned to survive in a cave filled with human headed worms, He hasn't died yet even though he has been subjected to experiments, He should legit be promoted or smth
@Dr Bob, Eldritch Antartic was the very first time I heard about scp, watched any video about scp, indeed it's how I became aware of it at all. Thank you for your years of creativity and service, it's greatly appreciated. (alos, as an artist and fiction writer myself, your animating and art quality have not only increased from great to awesome, but blow away pretty much all other content) Keep up the amazing work!!
Dr. Bob, hello! I've been watching your content basically since the beginning. You are so original compared to the other SCP story channels, you always make original and well made content, please, never stop making these videos! I love how you always make a story before explaining the SCP itself, you are an amazing channel!!!
I can't believe that you got some angy tiny beta skull worms, and then calm mega chad skull worms....It's kind of funny and cute and wholesome, besides the part where they're literal skulls on worms.
This was a pretty great video, I had a fun time listening to this story with my buddy Zachary Callahan, we learned a lot from each of these stories and enjoyed the time spent with this!
That d-class on the somewhere in between is a true Chad. Like the guy survived months in that place and stayed well and alive! How did he not get a spot in a MTF or something.
Can't believe how that guy manage to actually stay alive in place like that and further more he survived and manage to live his life again this is amazing and dangerous...
I have to praise the attention to detail on this. The st louis address that appears on the 767 envelope at 2:21:52 is the actual address of the main office of the st louis metropolitan police department
@@LylaDagger if you're talking about Confinement???? If that is the name then its still running, the person behind it Hurt his bum and due to covid and lack of money he hasnt been able to make them, but apparently either this or next year he'll start uploading again (I got this info from a RU-vid comment so take this witha grain of salt)
no lie the first story just saved me from going to a mental asylum, it just taught me how a human understands, then wants to understand the situation in a deeper manner, look for more knowledge and how in the looking for more knowledge they lose their ability to understand then get lost in knowing what they were trying to understand and learn and then lose all their knowledge and then lose themselves and then become the knowledge for someone else to just look at and never have anything else done, that person will just remain in their whole loop hole forever and i’m that person, i’m at peace now that i know that and shall go thru with my understanding of that story. thank you so much mr. bob 🙏🏾
Isn’t it……unlawful, and or immoral, to keep unharmful scp in lockdown? I understand locking up the more dangerous ones, but if one isn’t dangerous, such as 069, and is basically a humanoid, isn’t it wrong to lock them away forever like an animal?
No, because other organizations like the Chaos Insurgency are out to kill the entities. It's a method of understanding the anomalous and using that information to protect both the entity and others around it. If you want to make an argument about unlawful, immoral, and unethical acts for the SCP organization, you should consider the types of things they do to D-class. Additionally, it's safer to keep most scps with potential to harm in containment, but the SCP organization usually fulfills requests from the anomalous entities if they behave, such as Stretchy the Clown getting a deck of cards and the Tickle Monster being able to freely roam the facility
Remember their motto; secure, contain, protect. There are organizations that would either kill them or use their anomalous powers for evil. And, as is the human condition, the general public will fear and despise them just because they can't understand.
Laws don’t really apply to the Foundation. And yeah, I’d say it is immoral but that’s kinda the point, every organisation in the SCP universe has its flaws. SCP will contain you, whether you like it or not. Much like the Chaos Insurgency will kill you, whether you actually pose a threat or not.
Dude, what a dick move to not had promoted D-11424 of he's D-class designation to something not so high as an agent, but not as low like to remain as cannon fodder for experiments. The guy survived months on a extremely hostile SCP and helped quite a lot in the gathering of info of such SCP. I know the foundation is ruthless, but give credit where credit is due, plus he would become quite the asset for future explorations if he received more training and was allowed to use better gear.
Especially since it seems to work to ensure that the persons family is taken care of which is why i think that it tried to off itself. If the whole point of its existence is to assist the family to be better off after they pass and the family finds out they're dead, then it loses its reason to live.
46:43 Solving a Rubik’s cube doesn’t mean high IQ, it means high skills of spotting patterns. I am able to solve one in 30-40 seconds due to me learning is spot patterns and different points in the solve
As soon as buddy stepped into 1051 and the door closed behind him, I just laughed to myself, "not another fucking man eating building." The egg artillery had me dying.
Well we wouldn't be able to watch the others if it did, duhhh. (This is a joke- I know most people with common knowledge probably know that this is a joke but some people seem to have difficulty realising what is a joke and what not.) :')
@@Cakemine7 I know it's terrible lmao, just taking precautions since I've seen people get eradicated over literally the dumbest and most obvious jokes ever. :')
Why did i almost cried seeing a flesh-like worm with a humanoid unskinned head "snuggling" as a last "Goodbye" with it fellows flesh-like worms? SCP lore is definitely changing me.
Wouldn't put it past him, after all there is also another very valuable, famous, seemingly immortal researcher that is himself an anomaly at the foundation.
That Train story is interesting. Given the third agent sent was sent back with a note and his hands removed, I'm wondering who/what dislike The Foundation's attempts at researching their train. Guaranteed someone/thing knows if that was the reaction. Hell, maybe he was unlucky and was sent from the future where the Foundation or another group has more accurately figured out how to manipulate the destination and they didn't want them messing with it.
I’m a tattoo artist myself…but I’ve been a visual artist since I was like 4 and was exposed to a fella of immense talent and artistic individuality. I don’t remember really but my mom tells me once I saw him draw something I was obsessed and specifically asked for Jason and Freddie Krueger drawings constantly. I’m sure it was annoying af.I used to go through my ma’s (extensive !!)record collection which were a lot of classic rock and hippie shit….but they frequently had badass art that I was known to study for hours and try to recreate (no tracing!) by my own hand. I’ve been wanting to get into animation recently and idk where to start. A massive part of my style is rooted in extreme attention to detail though…I think that’ll fk me up w animation initially but I put my heart in every line and welcome criticism of any kind and like to think that’s enough. Fkn ramble on
Idk much about animation but I do know that certain SCP animators don't use the most complex tools. Like SCP Explained simply used a stick figure animator which are freely available online. The figures can be simple or can be improved quite a but design wise.
@@timtierackic1078 thanks for the reply bud…much appreciated. Would I have to draw everything w stylus or paint kinda shit or is it easy these days to turn paper art into digital art with out jus drawing it again?
