Im at a loss as to how the Dishonored series wasnt included. Those games always provide, fascilitate and reward stealth only gameplay. And the stealth gameplay in the series is sublime
dishonored is phenomenal but the game rewards aggression just as much as stealth. it’s also forgives you completely whenever you break stealth and doesn’t really punish you for it
No mention of the property that launched the genre at all eh? Thief deserves praise as well. Surprised this was omitted. Though given you guys used Pandora Tomorrow instead of Chaos Theory for Splinter Cell, I guess I shouldn't be surprised you ignored Thief lol
Metal gear solid 3 and horizon zero dawn are my favorites. Good gameplay, good story, good character development. If you love puzzle and stealth, a plague tale is pretty good one.
Batman Arkham knight is my favorite stealth game , really the only game I find my self no rushing thru and but instead walk around slowing and role play as Batman slipping thru the shadows 😂it really a game way ahead of its time and needs another game
90s and early 2000s. What a time for gaming. All stealth games, that was lots of fun. Cant wait To see when this New mgs 3 is comming. That gonna blow minds, like every metal gear solid game does
@@druvingame The Arkham games you can also choose to be stealthy, spiderman, daus gone, Rdr2 and many others, and they are not considered as stealthy games
Watch Dogs 2 is literally known for having broken stealth that never makes sense. Worst part about it is that whenever you get spotted by an enemy who you then take out without him making a sound, the entire area will then IMMEDIATELY be alerted, even tho no one heard anything.
Skeiro is NOT a spiritual successor to Tenchu, the gameplay is nowhere near the same. If anything, Ghost of Tsushima is the spritual successor to Tenchu, the gameplay is so much closer. You also forgot Manhunt, which is one of the most thrilling and brutal stealth games ever made.
One thing I discovered about myself personally is that Im not really much a fan of stealth games, but I like games with stealth elements, if that makes sense. Like, for me, Ive had more fun in games that have stealth segments, rather than the entire game being centered around stealth. I mean, there are of course exceptions like Mark of the Ninja and Dishonored, but for the most part, games where Ive had fun with stealth it wasnt really that big to the core of the game or enough to put it in the stealth genre. Games like the Batman Arkham series stealth parts I absolutely loved. Also I have fond memories of Slys missions in the Sly series, as well as I miss Assassins Creed Brotherhoods multiplayer because the stealth in that game was super fun and so were the chases, and having to use stealth to both break chase and hide, but use it to sneak up on your target.
One of the worst lists ever.....where is: 1) MGS V Phantom Pain 2) Splinter Cell : Chaos Theory 3) Mark of the Ninja And since when did a souls game become stealth?
Phantom Pain isn't phenomenal though this list is bad by itself. Chaos Theory and Pandora Tomorrow are both close enough/are both Splinter Cell games so it makes sense. But yeah the list is still mid at best lmao
Having sekiro and watch dogs 2 but not including mark of the ninja, styx, thief, dishonored is really one of the choices ever made. Sekiro has stealth elements but it has barely any mechanic to reinforce this approach if it even is possible in most lvls. Watch dogs 2 is super barebones and shallow compared to the games i mentioned where stealth is the guiding force
Watch dogs 2? You’ve got to be fucking kidding me. Every time you took down about three guards stealthily, somehow the rest of the guards would suddenly become suspicious; even if they weren’t in sight of you or anywhere near you. Also, it seems kind of ironic that for a video about stealth games, most of your metal gear solid 5 footage had almost every guard in sight shooting the shit out of you.
The OG Splinter cell on the OG Big daddy Xbox with the Duke control . Thats what should of been on this list . Not pandoras tomorow . Last of made it twice on the list which is great i love them games but why not just put part 2 an save a space for something like dishonoured ? Or other games because there are plenty .
The majority of games on this list were inspired by the classic Thief games in some way. And yet as usual, GB does not even mention them. Their disdain for classic pc games has always been apparent.
The stealth in those games are basic af and offers next to nothing of anything new and engaging. It's mediocre gameplay carried by fancy takedown animations.
Unity is basically the only game in the AC franchise that has better stealth. But even that game's stealth gameplay is mid, carried by its parkour and animations. Even Red Dead Redemption 2 has better stealth than the pre-Unity games and that's saying something.
I know stealth approach is optional to these games but since this list comes with questionable titles then may I add Spiderman Miles Miorales addicting stealth takedowns.
Plague Tale Requiem is not even a proper game to begin with, more like annyoing (yet beautiful) interactive movie, stealth is not always possible (in scripted story events) and feels like downgrade from first Plague Tale Innocence, Sekiro is more kind of Dark Souls game, not at all forgiving :)
Ok this channel is starting to annoy me. Can you just post new game reviews on a separate channel? I don’t want to see the same 10 games of a list of greatest games every two hours in my feed. Getting really close to unsubscribing. Just want reviews of new games.
The reason why stealth games are not as popular is because modern young gamers would rather play 💩 dumb games instead of games that involves tatics and brain power and patience!
Pandora Tomorrow instead of Chaos Theory, and TLOU PT 2? Really? Terrible list. Maybe upload a couple times a week instead of every day. Also hilarious that you couldn't help but put TLOU PT 1 higher on the list, since everything about it is way better than PT 2. The AI in PT 2 is basically retarded, the gunplay is awful, and don't even get me started on that story. "An intricately woven tale about the never ending cycle of revenge." Ah yes, so intricate. That's why there's no ability to spare anyone. When they "surrender", they sit there for a minute, and then go back to shooting at you after a short time. Revenge is bad, but Abby gets her revenge and pretty much gets away with it. Only Ellie suffers permanent consequences for pursuing it. Remember when Abby was about to kill Dina, Ellie told her she was pregnant and pleaded for her to stop, and Abby said "good"? Before almost going through with it? Only relenting because her friend begged her to stop? Then you have Ellie, who accidentally killed Abby's pregnant friend (because neither of the people there with her could be bothered to say "wait she's pregnant", including the father of the child). Ellie was traumatized and heartbroken. Long and short of it is, that story is terrible. Abby gets pretty much everything she wants after pursuing her revenge, and Ellie gets railroaded. There's not even a choice to kill or spare Abby, because the devs knew that most people would kill her, because she's a horrible person. Never bothers to ask Joel why he killed her father, just brutally tortures and murders him in front of his surrogate daughter. But Abby's dad saved a zebra, so we should feel bad for her. What a joke. "Intricately woven" like a coiled dog turd.
