Have you ever owned one? If so you must have a fetish for replacing Instrument clusters, intake manifold gaskets, knock sensors, wheel bearings, axle bearings, and transfer cases!
Have a 2003 Yukon. 225k miles. Still runs and drives very nice. Paid cash for it 5 years ago. I have really enjoyed it. Added a head unit with navigation and back up camera, otherwise it is fully loaded with moonroof, Bose, etc. Sometimes I get the new car blues, until I look at the cost of the 2021 comparably equipped Yukon 4x4. :)
Thank you for the vid!! I would have never found some of these cool little features in my Yukon. I just bought mine today and me and my dad spent a good hour looking for the jack and tools and couldn't find it, after watching your video I found the jack and tools and the previous owner who bought it new in 2001 didn't know where the jack was either. Both jack and tools hadn't been touched probably since 01' so they looked brand new!! it was a nice little time capsule find.
i like these 2nd generation Yukon's and Tahoe's! Hard to find any in mint condition these days. 2003 was the first year for Yukon/XL, Tahoe/Suburban and Escalade/EXT/ESV to add the LED mirror turn signals.
I have an 03 yukon xl that my family bought new, they were going to sell it bc it had 260k miles on it. I decided to buy it from them and i’ve put 11k miles on it in the past 3 months and she doesn’t skip a beat.
Yea I bought one in 2016 for $2400 and I still have it, I live in Michigan and I’m not sure how it works in other states but here, when you renew your plate every year, if the model year is 1983 or older, the cost of the renewal is based on the vehicle weight, if it is a 1984 or newer the cost is based on the original MSRP of the vehicle when it was new…..so even though my 2003 Yukon XL 1500 SLT is now going to be 19 years old, and is rusting from the bottom up…..because it sold for $48,999 when it was new, my plate costs me $200 every year! Whereas my 1983 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme costs $36
BTW, have you replaced your cluster, intake manifold gaskets, knock sensors, wheel bearings, axle bearings, or transfer case yet? If not it’s just a matter of time….
On my 06 the drivers side mirror is also auto dimming. Very cool, never noticed until I was driving a different car and noticed how bright the headlamps were in the side mirror.
I missed your "happy new years video" this year. Love your videos and I am truly envious of your cold climate. To day was 37 degrees Celsius where I live, and that was cooler than yesterday:(. I cannot wait for your first Tesla review.
Agreed. We have one of these and it has solid metal bumpers. We also have a trailblazer and the cheap plastic bumper got brittle and cracked and just fell off! Poor quality I tell you.
I have a 2003 Yukon XL, I know I'm 3 years late on this video but the mirrors are also heated, and activated by turning on the rear window defrost. I'm closing in on 200k miles on mine. Still runs like a dream. Recently converted all the lighting to LED, and removed the side trimming.
I needed some parts for My 2003 SLT about a year ago and I found a guy who was parting out a 2004 Denali, and I was surprised to find that my 03 SLT had options that his 04 Denali didn’t have….the RSE (Rear Seat Entertainment) package with the flip down video monitor behind the front seats, adjustable pedals, even the under hood lamp
on the curb view assist once it tilts down you can use your switch to adjust how far and in the mirror tilts; it will remember those settings every time you put it in reverse. Also the driver's side has auto dim feature! Pretty cool for 03
I’m very sure you guys still have that. We have a 2004 GMC Yukon that looks just like that. Of course it’s shorter and it’s a base model. Just cloth seats and 9 passenger with 3 in every row😂. It has 180k on it and it’s great. We’ve off roaded, taken it camping, snow plowed with it, and even taken it on the dunes in cape cod Massachusetts. It actually has very little rust, but there is more forming. It’s kinda sad to be honest but it means we get our use out of it. Anyways good review and keep it up! Lol I’ve been watching since like 25 subs and remember the exact moment your 100 sub video came out.
Lol I have a 04 silver Yukon xl love it bought June 1st 2020 271xxx miles though lol well maintained but still new to a lot of features but is there a way to not only fold down the 3rd row seat but tilt it up so it’s not laying for more storage and not having to remove it?
WOW! Over 271K! That's AWESOME. I just bought a 2005 Yukon yesterday. $1800 but I can't say it's been well maintained. The lady has horses and dogs and used it to haul feed. Plus, it was in Maine so has some rust, etc. Still, I drove it 250 miles and it did great. I was wondering if it's worth getting new tires, LED head and tail lights, body work, etc. This comment clinched it. YUP, worth it. Thanks!
I have an 05 version of the same vehicle. Does anyone know how to service the Quadrasteer? GM dealers in this area haven't been able to to help. Would be nice to have it working again.
@@SliCkRiCkStER111 I can't afford to replace it. It handles my travel trailer and tandem flat bed beautifully. The quadrasteer feature sure is handy in parking lots and hitching up but I think it's a lost cause. I think the designers failed to anticipate the northerly climate and the salt on the roads we have to deal with here in Canada as well in parts of the US.
I have a suggestion for you Josh. Your a GM Family. And your commentary and video skills are excellent. If I were you? I would goto your local Chevy dealership. Get with the general manager. Let him see your videos and offer to help each other out. Have them supply a new vehicle for you to familiarize and review each week as part of your video. At the end of every video let them know where they can go "said chevy dealer" to purchase a vehicle in your review. When the Dealership says I don't think so soon? Remind them of the 7yr old making millions on you tube reviewing toys. Could be a great partnership you both can benefit from 😁
@@carreviewswithjosh8028 You're welcome. I found out when I put Driver #2 Key in during the Summer, and the Heat/Defrosters were on at 90° F on Both Zones. Put Driver #1 Key in, and I got my AC back on Full Blast Both Zones.
I believe you can use the 6 preset buttons. Just go to your desired channel and press and hold one of the 6 buttons until you hear a beep. I hope this answers your question.
Hey thanks for the reply but what I was asking is how I can get the xm radio to play my songs that I pick ....like it has the pandora station but it's not my channels that it plays it just plays random songs
Would ya'll recommend this for the desert? I am thinking about moving from cali to new mexico and i might need to live in a camper in the middle of nowehere for a while lmao, this seems like exactly the kind of jack of all trades i will need in unpredictable scenarios
We used to have one just like that it was that same color had the same rims it was loaded sadly didnt have it long was launching a boat and my nephew hit the gas instead of the brake sending it into the water making it float like a boat it was totaled we then got a white 2004 Z71 suburban which we still have it today we got it in 2015 shortly after our yukon went in the lake
I'd like to see the subwoofer install also. I have the 04 Chevy Tahoe Z71. I removed the left rear panel and it seems like there is not enough room for s subwoofer because the fuel filler tube is right behind that area.
It actually doesnt have a subwoofer since all the other components of bose were made to make bass unlike those other vehicles who do the mesh is see through
