Another load of logs delivered to the wood yard and this load is all dead dry oak! Most of it will be cut split and sold without having to dry at all...because it IS dry already!!!
Awesome vid that day Chris! A great sight seeing more wood showing up in the woodyard! Thanks for having us over Chris! 🔥💯👍. See you soon! Andrew from NB :)
Always nice to see hardworking Logger John, “Ninety-nine loads of wood on the farm, Ninety- nine loads of wood”- one load a week for the next ninety nine weeks, you ought too be good!!🇺🇸🇺🇸
Hi Chris!!😀😀 John is B S ing you about how many acres of land they have. I asked Scott a little while back how many acres they have and he said they have around 3000. Witch is still a lot of land. John is always been a little that way about exaduating things. Even with the amount of loads of wood like that. He is stretching it a bit. LOL!! Take care my friend!!😀😀💚💚 Logger Al
I'm back at it foot is healed was planning on going to Paul Bunyan this year but have to bundle wood planning on going next year I want to meet all you guys I follow on you tube. Addicted to firewood just like all of you just no channel
It was great meeting you and Tony at the Bunyon today. It was great getting to meet you in person. I felt like I knew you because you talk to me every day. Hope you guys have a safe trip. Great weather for the show. Did anyone find out what happened to Brad?
Iv been cutting up black oak cords on BLM land.. 15 bucks a cord they charge. Good desl for beening in California.. resell for 450 a cord.. have a good one wood dude. Take care buddy. ✌️
Personally...I would rather have another trailer load of that nice Hard Maple. It was some awesome looking stuff but guess the Oak snobs need wood also! Have a great time at the show and safe travels!
Land owners really need to manage tree stocks every 25 years or so, if done properly you can all make money , but some are greedy so brokers can be used to get the land owner a fairer deal and to ensure it’s done sustainably. An Interesting process.😉 Nice to see the kittens again❤
Nice video Chris. Good to see John again, kind of wondered what happened with him as he was your primary source of truckloads in the "old woodyard". Now you can keep the "oak snobs" happy. I've heard that oak does have a shelf life before it gets punky but very little oak in my area so no first hand experience. GNI
Only thing you have to wash with this Deadwood is once it gets rained on it sucks up like a sponge so if you get any of them processed I would recommend covering it or sell it fast
@InTheWoodyard definitely.. a couple from last year yielded 5 to 6 full cords of firewood.. sad to see them go. but glad they they will be keeping me warm next winter .
That is decent. That is I think $1450-1500 USD. Around here loads are generally 6-7 cords and usually $900-1k at least currently I used to get it for around $500 not long ago then there is delivery fee. It could be most any hardwood from maple, ash, oak, cherry, birch, beech, whatever they are cutting.
Your truck load of black oak looks like fantastic firewood material that can be processed and sold quickly this fall and winter. How are your firewood sales going so far this year? Is there a healthy demand for firewood this season? Just curious. Thanks for the great unloading video. Cannot wait to see these oak logs go through the processor! Take care Chris!
Good Morning Chris when are you going to Process the Cherry Birch Ash, are you going to be Ordering more loads Cherry, Have a Good day Chris are you going to the Paul Bunyan Show,
Just a thought have you ever considered running the small stuff through the processor and letting it fall out the dump shoot into a trailer. Might be a little faster?
I meant to say that just using the processor to cut it in 16-inch pieces a little faster, then split the rounds. Kind of like having a giant self-loading chain saw .I guess you could even pull the splitter out and let the rounds go up the conveyer to the dump trailer for splitting the small stuff. Just thinking out loud what I might have tried back in the day. @@InTheWoodyard
Never work here with those trucks .they couldn't get on the hills they use different trucks .my aunt had a 2 boldozers tip over when they brought her 90ft mobile home up her driveway.
How much does a load like that cost? I am assuming somewhere in the $2k-2500 range. I know here you generally get 6-7 cord loads for $900-1k plus the delivery fee. I know I used to be able to get loads for $500 not anymore. Maybe if they were logging real close I could get it a bit cheaper just because they don't have to move it but a couple miles
I am curious about how dry that oak is. I got a cord or so of oak that had been cut down 2+ years ago. It had developed abour an inch of "punk" and lost its bark. When I split it, it was all 25% or more on my moisture meter . I had the same with a dead oak I cut down on my property. Will your oak really be ready for this winter?
One of the reasons I am not so crazy about oak. It takes forever to season and I have checked before thinking it was dry but no still not dry but the outer edges turning punky.
And it's true just 100 chords of it but you got to keep in mind this stuff is already a couple years old so after two years it starts getting Punkie I would suggest get all you can sell all that person save all the other stuff
Around here 6-7 cord loads are in the $900-1k range generally every now and then see ads posted for $800-850. I used to be able to get it for $500. Then you have delivery fees so that $1k load might end up being $1100 by the time it gets to you. Assuming this load is probably like $2500
