So I'm watching this video, making a list of new channels I need to binge watch...and I'M THE HOOK UP VIDEO???? LOL Thanks, Lee! You made my day! 🙂 As far as other small crochet channels go, I really like Ginger Patch Designs. She's very new but she's multi-craftical like us! lol
'Show Me, Romi' is my favourite male creator. He focuses on crocheting men's clothes, which is so under represented. He's not been doing it long, so he learns a lot as he goes along and is not afraid to show his mistakes.
samesies Shenandoah! He also has a video on men's fashion inspo. It's not all male crafters, and I think a lot of it is instagram stuff, but there are some other male/enby creators there! (I actually just ran through the list of people I follow to find him b/c I could not for the life of me remember his name)
Oh my goodness! Thank you! I have always enjoyed your channel! I would love to collab with you if your up for it. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Health issues can be so difficult to manage especially when it interferes with your passion. Your transparency is inspiring. Again, Thank you 😀
Many of my favs are larger channels but here goes..... 1 crochet crowd 2 nastazia 3 reative grandma 4 TL yarncrafts 5 little johns ....... 6 bag o day 7 ron strong 8 theres a tunisian channel with a black man 9 fiber spider
I love watching TL Yarn Crafts she does knitting and crochet and vlogs, she is so awesome! I also love Elise Rose Crochet and she is like TL Yarn Crafts!
I highly recommend Made in the Moment! Less than 100k and they're just a fun vibe. They also have another channel called Emma in the Moment, which covers more controversial subjects within the yarn and craft community! Elise Rose crochet also has some good stuff, really helped me be able to figure out what I should and shouldn't buy for my craft as well as what yarn I should invest in when I get the chance. She's a bigger content creator, 217k, but still amazing! She has a lot of free resources on her website that can help you plan and organize projects.
'PassioKnit Kelsie' is a great channel that I watch every day. She primarily does crochet but also knits. A must to check out, a vlog type channel that is very entertaining!
Just vintage crochet with Corinna. She’s the best. She also has a channel called it’s not knit. She doesn’t post there anymore, but the videos are still worth a watch. Her voice is very calming and relaxing. Watching her mystery crochets has helped me learn to read patterns. She’s just great
Thanks for the recommendations, I'll definitely be checking them out!! I'm going to be really cheeky and suggest that everyone comes to watch my very own channel... 😊
"When you wish you could crochet faster without any pain " Yep thats me almost all day, so many wips and wants to make its not funny :D. Love this video and boasting other creators.
My favorite male crochet youtuber is Fiber Spider. Made a few of their tutorials, and just love following them! I was able to follow their tutorial as a beginner, after only just learning the basic stiches.
Omg THANK YOU! That's so kind of you to shout out my little baby channel :):) I genuinely appreciate it and you made my day :) . I would *LOVE* to learn how to crochet, it's on the list now :D
No worries! I genuinely enjoy watching your crafty adventures and can't wait to see what you come up with in the future. (No pressure on the crochet though lol).
@@SkeinSpider 😊😊 Haha thank you, I'm kind of obsessed with the idea of making a jumper at the moment (Melbourne winter omg) so I'll definitely be watching some tutorials ❤❤
Thanks for all of the suggestions! I stumbled on Nadia's Studio and like her a lot. It's a vlog-type channel, her voice is so soothing. She doesn't have a ton of videos up, she's only been posting for less than a year, but I hope she keeps it up!
Knitty Natty is a great one with her yarny adventures in Lydia the RV. She knits and crochets and she travels the USA with her hubby Kent and dog Toaster. They do yarn store tours, vlogs, and tutorials. Under 50k in subscribers. Her blanket with the yarn from different indy dyers from her travels is beautiful.
I recommend Little Johns Yarn, Majovel crochet english Jonah's Hands, Show me, Romi!, Henri Purnell, omazingpaige and Create by K. I enjoy them all. Love your videos.
Before I forget, love that sweater you’re wearing! Don’t think anyone has said Jenna Phipps yet. Even though she’s concentrating on renovating her house now, she has a lot on crochet content. Show me, romi for male creator.
Breathing Yarn crochet is a recent crafter I've been enjoying. She primarily knits, but is branching out into crochet. I thoroughly enjoy their videos.
@URBANFARMBOYS ! They're just at 18.8k in subs and they're brilliant! As they said in a video we watched recently... Nick and Andrew... They aren't just business partners if that's what you thought! 😂
I love watching MDL Crochet (Michael is a strictly Tunisian artist), Dawn Aaron Loving Hands Creations (multi talented artist) and Spring the Fiber Enthusiast (she is multi talented fiber artist and has been doing glass work). Hope you enjoy them as well.
Stephen West is a great male crochet youtuber. He does have a bit over 100k followers (133k I think?) but I thought he'd still fit. Crafters Autonomous is also a fun one to follow. Also, for people thinking about maybe wanting to sell things, CamrynsCuteCreations has tons of videos on pricing, going to markets, what sells best (for her at specific places, at least), and a bunch of behind-the-scenes business info that is super useful!
Ooh, you're wearing my favourite jumper! 🤗 I'm going to be making one of my very own in time for autumn 🍂 As for small crochet channels, you can't go wrong with 'Crochet with Tuula Maaria'. She is an absolute sweetheart, and has been crocheting since primary school age 🧶
Fellow Spoonie-my pain has been OFF THE CHAIN this past week, too. I’m in the Midwest; go figure! Regardless, I always love your videos and it’s great to “see” you! Thank you for this round-up ☺️🫶🏻🧶
Thanks for these recommendations 🎉 I was already subscribed to a couple of these but look forward to checking out the others 😊 I would definitely recommend Blondie Knots ❤ Dana is adorable and her channel has a mixture of Vlogs, Tutorials and challenges 🎉
Ahh, I'm so glad you recc'd Alt Knots, I absolutely love her. I spotted someone else pitch Show Me, Romi, he is definitely one to keep an eye on. I also would be remiss to not throw crochetmezaddy in the ring because he is absolutely wonderful (and also in Oz!)
Hi! I know I am a bit late watching this, however, I recommend Llama Mama Kayla she is also a disability advocate as well as her impressive ability to crochet & many other arts with a the loss of fingers. She inspires and connects and shows us all that her disabilities will not slow her down! I encourage everyone who needs encouragement to check her out! She is amazing 😍
I would highly recommend adding Bag-O-Day Crochet, camrynscutecreations, Hooked by Robin, Jayda InStitches, PassioKnit Kelsie, and TL Yarn Crafts. They have great tutorials and video content.
The Rumi Mill is so funny she makes a lot of amigurumi. The Sonnet Silence she also does amigurumi and crochet book reviews. I follow Alt Knots love her energy. Elise Rose Crochet very sweet person and a joy to watch she always does a lot of tip videos and crochet tools. And I follow The Skein Spider whom is awesome love her work. ❤️
I follow a few of these channels already, great list! I absolutely ADORE @altknots ... been following for a while, and I love their vlog style videos. I actually stocked up on quite a few yarns based on their reviews and how excited they get over the colorways.
Thank you so much for doing this, I am always looking for new channels. Lets see, a recomendation 🤔 myself? Just kidding 😅 I am tiny and do more then just crochet but seriously Brunaticality does some amazing stuff. There are sooo many others. One that is over 100,000 but you would like if you have not seen her is Elise Rose Crochet. Feel better.
For male crocheters I like Fiber Spider, The Crochet Crowd and Urban Yarn. I also like Jayda Institches, Cinnamon Stitches, Blossom Crochet, Hooked By Robin, Creative Grandma, Naztazia, B. Hooked Crochet, Rich Textures Crochet, and TCDDIY.
Not so much any more. I had some issues with the app a while ago and sort of just stopped using Twitch but I'll have to give it another go now I can more easily access it on desktop.
I have Fibromyalgia and ME/CFS, and samesies with the chronic pain flare up and staying in bed binging RU-vid! Sending you healing vibes. Two of my favourite crochet channels are Crochet By Genna, and The Wonder Crochet. They are both upbeat and do a combination of vlogs and patterns. Thoroughly recommend. Also - not crochet, but, The Closet Historian does gorgeous sewing and beading videos, and she's lovely and stunning to boot. So would also recommend her for crafty viewings.
Thank you and I'm sending digital spoons your way too 💙. I actually just came across The Closet Historian a couple of weeks ago!! I'm looking forward to watching more of her vids.
*"In internet years I'm like a century old"* Me: In internet years I'm ... (attempts to calculate internet age) .... *DEAD!* 🤣lol Great video, really enjoyed it 👏❤
@BrochetCroxet is my favorite for guy representation. He's gone a little viral for his ninja star video, but he's still small on RU-vid. I have no doubt he's gonna keep growing though! 💗 It's hilarious!
I LOVE shout-out to crochet channel but mostly to amigurumis, cuz that's the only thing I crochet for over 13 years!!!😉 So, please, could you included a " section " only amigurumis in your next shout- out video?? ( please, please!!!🥲) I didn't check how many suscribers the next channels I suggest you had, but for sure, they are not HUGE channels, but definitely extra quality ones!👌 In no particular order: 1. Yarn of a kind 2. Pieces of scrap 3. Bonnie Strawberry Crochet channel 4. Ksmom crochet 5. Crafterbly ever after 6. Stitchadeedoodoll crochet channel 7. Inayas toybox crochet channel. nb.: Those channels are ALL amigurumis OR Mainly amigurumis + other crochet, sewing, others crafts, etc. And they are NOT ALL the amigurumis channels I LOVE, but surely, I ADORE each ones of them, and I watch theirs videos as soon as they upload them!!!! Thank you, and of course you are part of MY list of favorites amigurumis - crochet channels😍😍😍 7.
NB no2. I just read others comments, and if I can also support some others recommendations for the next channels, cuz I dont miss any of theirs videos either: 1. The RUMI mill crochet ( she is so funny, entertaining and positive!!!😋) 2. Knitting hook crochet ( especially older videos when she started plushies, trying so many differents ones, and giving her opinions on them...) 3. The Sonnet Silence ( special plus for her sometimes choice of very weird, not overdone amigurumis patterns she try!🤩👍👍👍)
I watch a lot of knitting "podcast" videos even though I don't knit. I like the long form, chatty style to have on in the background while I work on crocket projects. I haven't found any crochet podcast videos, though. Maybe crochet doesn't lend itself to that so much? I'm not sure why. Anyone know of any podcast style crochet channels?
Small channel recommendations? Hmmm...There are a few male creators out there I'm subbed to, and then there's Tunisian Crochet, which is also under represented, but its not as bad when you remember some of the channels saying "knit" in the title, are Eastern European when they use the same word for both knitting and crocheting. For Tunisian my choices are: Knitting My Hobby Knitting love Male creators: J. Took- moonlit Moth Creations ...dang it, there was an army veteran who had a channel, but its gone. 😢 Club Crochet And regular crochet: Katrina's Crochet Hook and Loops Yarnbarf Just Vintage Crochet CrochetByGenna
My favorite male creator is Mikey from CrochetCrowd. He is just so crazy and fun to watch and lesson to. I also really Jaydainstitches, she is also really enjoyable to lesson to and weekly she does a live stitch along, most of the time.
I recommend Maddie's Weird World's channel. I will warn you, it does include dolls, specifically "creepy" dolls in nearly every video. Very cursed, but also a very nice change from the mundane crocheting/ knitting/ general crafting. It's a fairly new channel, only 15 videos so far. I like their energy ^^. Recommended video, Crocheting a deranged doll face pillow.
Adam at craftywool is really nice. He has quite a small channel talks about his makes and yarn dying. Just a relatable, nice guy, you would have a cup of tea with. Recommended!
Another male I follow is crochetmezaddy. He's currently working on a series of interviews with crochet content creators. He crochets and designs amigurumi.
Thank you for sharing these channels. I will check them out. :) I have a few channels to recommend : Juan The Yarn Addict | Lucas yarns | Albanach Knitter | All three are male creators. All three explain things and talk with you in such a way you do not feel stupid. They are genuine. Another channel I highly suggest is Sheepishly Me. She is a sheep farmer in Canada. She shares her journey in sheep farming. She has in recent years started to process and sell the wool from her sheep. She has launches a few times a year and she sells out in minutes. I have never used her wool ( mainly because I am allergic to all animal fibers) . I think it is worth checking out. She has over 1 million subscribers, but she is knowledgeable and genuine and very relaxing.
She's definitely top of my overall recommendations list but like I said in the video, my aim here was to share smaller channels with under 100K subscribers.
Alt knots. Is awesome. I have been watching her for about a year. She great 🎃 🦇 for guy crochet you tube channel is Nick & Andrew urban farmboys. It's another great channel
The Crochet Crowd by( Mikey) Michael Sellick he has 4 channels they are the knitting Crowd beginners crochet Crochet little stitch love Left hand crochet and knit tutorials I highly recommend him as he's amazing. Then the lady that started me crocheting is Fuad Azmat / Yarnutopia by Nadia if you like granny square's she has 365 a new one for every day of the year
The intro is a mini clip of how my life is. 😅 Michelle is one of my favorites, her cat couch she recently made, is adorable. I love all of her content. And Just Vintage Crochet is another huge favorite of mine too! I'll definitely look into the others. I love supporting others and learning new things and ways to make things. ❤ My recommendations: Passioknit Kelsie, Bag-O-Day, Complicated Knots, MJ's Off The Hook Designs, Alt Knots, Crochetmezaddy, Knotting Hook Crochet, Amazingishgrace, Belina Bellwood, Llama Mama Kayla, Creative Grandma, Hooked By Robin, TCDDIY, The Crafty Grrl, Juan the yarn addict and so, so many more! I like to find channels with lesser views and let their videos play from the beginning... ❤❤❤😊😊😊
