Is this anyone else's absolute guilty pleasure? I am obsessed with this mans voice. We listen to him when we go to sleep at night. I enjoy the forest stories the most.
My favorites are those gas station stories, and middle of nowhere, car break-down stories, hiking, camping trips, pizza delivery, night shift stories, lol. But Darkness Prevails was the very first narrator I've heard.
HAPPY FATHER’S DAY, Darkness Prevails! My daughter and I loves to listen to you every night at bedtime. It’s been a somber weekend/day for me as we lost our father 29 days ago. My dad was the Jack of all Trades and we miss him so much! Happy Heavenly Father’s Day, dad, I love and miss you so much! Thank you for the life you gave us, although you may not have been our biological dad but you were our FATHER! You were the one there for us since my brother was just a baby. You raised us as your own, two of your daughters became Registered Nurses and you were very proud of us. Thank you for your selfless/unconditional love, sacrifice, and the honor of calling you our father. We miss you terribly.🥺😭 🤍🕊️👼🏻🤠🫶🏽
Hello from a fellow Murse lol. With the way things have been in health care anyone of us that can continue through these staffing shortages and higher aquity patients i guarantee he has the upmost respect for you. Few people can do what we do and I did farm work /welding before I was a nurse. Being a nurse is far harder.
I abused my lil half sister jessa and my dad exiled me from the family when I was 17, through many programs I was forced to attend I’ve finally recouped my life 11 years later, love you dad hope your in a better place I’m sorry❤
I live in the southern hemisphere so it's currently freezing 🥶 cold. There's no better way to spend the evening than rugging up and falling asleep listening to horror stories about cryptids. Love your compilations bro.
No no no CLIP!!!! ITS A MAG!!! It should be "He proceeded to drain his MAG into the thing" ha ha sorry y'all in the Marines saying "clip" is a gangster, I'll informed or intended agitation use! A clip is bullets in line on a small metal STRIPPER CLIP used to load older WW1, WWII, to Vietnam style bolt action rifles. However you can buy modern ammo on stripper clips to load MAGAZINES. Unless it's your lucky day to push single loose rounds into magazines!! Sorry huge pet peeve!! Great stories Darkness!!!
Happy father's day Darkness! This compilation was amazing and that first story is still one of my all time favorite stories, also gotta love your 4Chan stories, they're awesome! Thanks again for posting great content during the weekend and I appreciate you man! XD
Looking fwd to going to bed tonight and watching! Can't wait! Sorry l have not found any time to send you my story. Sooo busy, l will soon. ❤ Patty OH and Happy Father's Day!! 😊
Oh my goodness. So! The Kid Doppelganger... As a seasoned backpacker, I would never want to go on a hike with those two men. The kid disappeared for a bit in the woods, and when found he was shaken, non-verbal and with bruising. That is called in shock! And the two adults of the situation were just "oh yeah. Weird." And then when they were back in camp, the kid that is in obvious shock decided to wander off, and they were, again; "oh not my problem."
I enjoy listening to your podcast when I go to bed. Good stuff! I don't know exactly what creatures those people saw, but it reminds me of a video I saw on RU-vid called, "The Rake - 30 Scariest Rake Sightings Caught On Camera."
Father's Day has been difficult since my father passed away August 1st 2018. His birthday is the 12th of June and then Father's Day is right around the corner so June is a very difficult month for me ...idk what I would do without Darkness Prevails! Your content/storytelling is the only thing that makes me sleep and soothes me. Thank you for making hard times a little more bearable. 🌒🌕🌘
I hear ya…I lost my dad 29 days ago, I had something very special planned for Father’s Day but we will never celebrate anything with him physically and that’s still hard to fathom. My sincerest condolences to you too.🥹

It’s ll about the good memories you had with your dad my dads birthday is on June 15 an I feel ya every Father’s Day feels like it’s missing something. I’m not a religious person but every father day I wait till it’s dark an look up at the sky an watch all the stars twinkle an do there thing it makes me feel like I know he’s with me an eventually I’ll get to see him it’s just not that time yet. Sorry for your loss just hang in there.
I listen to these as i camp alone deep in the woods and high in the mountains, some stories actually make me feel some of these early years trepidation again, thanks.
@@umeriqbal8269 I got back into hiking because of depression and anger issues, so the first 20 times or so i went to camp alone fear or danger weren't even on my mind a single second, it was just the blissful serenity of nature healing my broken spirit. And to be absolutely fair if i ran into some monsters or beast willing to take me on at that point i probably would have unsheathed my blade and ran at it with a warcry bro i was not well. After overcoming my issues i found myself in need of nature still so i kept going. It seems it's all about how you approach it, people who fear being alone in the mountains are afraid because of insecurities or doubts, they bring their belief with them in the woods, people who are not afraid seems to not even think about these dangers, we prepare for the real problems like food, water and shelter and leave fear of monsters and superstition at home.
If these are in fact true stories can you please post the name of the forest that the guy in the first story worked at in Arkansas where he had found bodies! It would be nice to verify that and really give a lot of credibility to the story! Thank you!
Idk about forests but i do about national parks. There's something in there unatural. Maybe national parks are not there just to preserve nature. Is to keep them in. Ancient being bound by the boundaries of the Parks. You're safe out then in them. And if you find random stairs in the woods dont go near them Leave in a different direction.
My ex wife now deceased hid my 2 sons from me with her new bf for 10years.then I get a call out of no where from her and she asked me if I wanted to see them and of course I said yes. She had her bf drop them off. She didn't even have the nerve too do it herself. She never came back too get them.. but I never stopped loving them when they were not here. Too all those people out there your father will always love you even if you don't see him.. perhaps it isn't his fault.....
I abused my lil half sister jessa and my dad exiled me from the family when I was 17, through many programs I was forced to attend I’ve finally recouped my life 11 years later, love you dad hope your in a better place I’m sorry❤
More like I ain't going camping, but did make it all the way. And there are more things under heaven... I feel blessed the few I've experienced weren't as scary. I like my chills SAFE. Hearing the stories of others. My personal worst ones weren't supernatural, but being hunted by my fellow man. Twice nearly vanished off the planet, once nearly being taken for a drag by men in a convertible. 1) Winter, when I was about 11-12. The roads were too icy and hilly, so school was cancelled. Generally doesn't take much in Seattle for that to happen, they don't have much in the way of road crews to handle bad weather. My younger friend and I walked up to a main drag for my mom to pick us up from the friend's place, the road her home was on down a too steep hill that hadn't been sanded or scraped. We've been waiting for about 10 or so minutes when I notice an unmarked white van passing us. Not sure why I noticed it, but this time, I watch all oncoming traffic more attentively. About 2-3 minutes later, the same van passes by again. I notice a rope trailing out the back doors... and the driver looking at us as he passes. 2-3 minutes later, he swings by again, rope trailing, driver staring. I talk my friend into hiding in the bushes of the little church we're waiting next to, and sure enough, 2-3 minutes later he drives past again. By now, the little voice in my head is screaming, "GO BACK TO HER HOUSE!" So we do. 2) High school, about 16-17. Riding my bike on the back roads between the new housing development dad and stepmom bought a house in and the main business district closest to them in Bothell, WA. Returning from a bookstore with the bag over my left wrist/left handlebar of my bike, minding my own business in the bike lane. In the areas with sidewalks, I ride on those, to give cars more space, since the areas without sidewalks have narrow bike lanes that drop into ditches right off. One of the entertainments for college boys I'd suffered many times on these roads was for them to silently drift up on me from behind, then from right behind me, gun the engine and race off ahead of me. Some would come back to do it again. This time, they drifted up and didn't gun it until in front of me, but the passenger had his hand out as if to grab the bag around my wrist. Talk about a waterless ice bath... The shock at what they could have done, what they suggested I might have suffered made me less trusting. 3) College, about 18-19. Walking home from work late at night, midnight or so. The busses at this time in Seattle run about once an hour, and I don't want to wait. I'm most of the way home when a guy I don't know offers me a ride home. I was very pretty, with a good figure back then, so I was having a fair idea of what he might be thinking. He also had another man in the car in the front passenger seat, fully reclined. Noticing this, I firmly but politely declined again, and continued walking. They started following/passing me, so my thoughts that =maybe= I was too suspicious were laughed out of my mind. No one with GOOD intentions would be following me in this way. We get closer to home, the edge of Green Lake. A lot of the homes here have deep, poorly lit stairways to their yards, perhaps 7 stairs tall. I duck into a few of these as they pass me. It's late enough, quiet enough that I just duck into them the moment I see headlights from either direction, late enough that there aren't many cars around. Pretty sure I ditched them before reaching my street, and home 1/2 a block up from the lake. Not your sort of stories, other than being a bit scary. (smiles)
