Well, you can't avoid all of them. That would take more self- control than most people have. Also, you don't just want to think about the future, life is here and now. Having a plan is one thing, setting unrealistic goals is another. The question is : how do you want to spend your free time? Not everybody likes inexpensive hobbies like jogging and hiking. You shouldn't forget to recharge your batteries. I'm not o.k. with the way, passions like photography, painting or other creative activities are presented here. Please remember that hardly anyone can make or wants to make a living out of their creativity and pursuing these hobbies is important for many to be and stay happy. It has to be considered as well, that once you try to monetise a hobby, the fun most likely goes away. And,yes, going overboard with a passion is part of the game. Hardly anyone likes their job so much that they don't need a hobby, or two. And I don't like the way you're talking about these hobbies here. How do you know that someone is giving up on them? That's simply not true. I know people who have been doing what they like for decades and are really happy with it. Focusing on money alone and doing things in a small frame makes your life unhappy. Happy people live their passion. Having a hobby and spending money on it is clever.

@@ledaleatsfeast I have a lot of self control. If I hadn't, I wouldn't be where I am in life,that is a safe financial spot. However, I did spent and still spend a ton of money on my creativity. And I oppose the opinion presented here. Bad spending habits have nothing to do with investing ( yes, I call it investing) in once creativity. It angers me, that the channel is promoting self developement by spending money on self- developement in the form of online courses and telling people to seek help from psycologists. Endless therapy sessions could be avoided if people would find happiness through non- profit making activities. Being good at something, really good, brings true joy, not talking about one's problems. Being good at something takes time, money, dedication and love. For those with bad psycological problems- find a psychiatrist.These people are doctors and can therefore treat people, not just talk to them.

These are a few things I live by. Buy a used car, make coffee at home, bring food to work, eat at home, make a list when grocery shopping. Invest twice a month.
@@lavonnealexander6936 My other car is a 2001 I paid $4k cash in 2015, my current car is a 2007 I paid $8k cash this year. It depends on what car you buy, both of my cars are Acuras. Yeah they are old, but I didn't want to do a car note.

As a coffee lover, I was blown away by how much monthly even weekly I was spending. Hows did I fix this? Engage with my partner (or friends) learned how to make the same coffees from Starbucks myself and invested a coffee machine that roasts the same expensive coffee with my favorites coffee brand of beans and save hundreds and found a great activity either by myself, partner or friends.

When you've got. 10 in a serious accident and it's broken your body into 5 pieces and it's taken 5 years to heal and they wanna give you 10 million dollars. What do you do? What do you say? Is it worth it not to me? And aint I can't even walk barely. Just had emergency surgery again. I am in an Ic U and they want to give me 10 million dollars. I say fuck that
