Don’t have an instant pot. So I really appreciate the slow cooker instructions. Thank you so much. Everything looks so good. Congratulations on your new addition to your beautiful family.
Congratulations on your new baby! Thank you so much for these helpful meals! I can’t wait to try them. I am a new Grandma of a beautiful 6 week old Grandson and my other 19 month old Grandson. I am helping my son and daughter-in-law and enjoying every minute of it by feel bad because I don’t seem to have time to cook for them. This will be a huge help! I can’t thank you enough💜
Love all your fast and easy recipes. I appreciate that you gave both IP and SC info - sometimes you just need to do one or the other because of timing and this saves having to do the figuring. 💕
I watch these videos with my 9 year old daughter. This is her message to you after we watched this one: Your baby is so cute and your videos are so cool. 👼 Have a good week!
Kirsten you and your family are so gracious and beautiful!!! You’re so committed in giving your best to all of us! Harper is as adorable as all of you! I just want to say congratulations to you and your family on having that beautiful baby and thank you for sharing these yummy meals, and most thankful for telling us how to cook in a slow cooker ..we do not have an insta pot..one day we will get one ..we have a slow cooker so I'm excited to try these meals...God bless you and your beautiful family..
Cheese tip- I started getting brick cheese & freezing for freezer space. Turns out it crumbles super easily after freezing. I still try and shred it because some chunks are bigger, but it crumbles easily & you have it on hand without wasting space. At the beginning of the pandemic I wasn't sure how things would go, so I was trying to maximize the space I had. Didn't need to shop for 3 months!
I thought of 2 more things- ginger and garlic. Ginger- get it fresh. Peel with spoon. Grate it until you can't. Dice the rest. Freeze grated into 1 tsp ice cubes, and the diced freeze laying flat so it will be loose when you go to use it. I freeze both in bags, but put those bags together into a big bag so I don't confuse with the garlic. Garlic- peel a big bag at the same time. My mil told me to lightly smash with a can/something heavy- works better than silicone! Grind all in a proccessor, maybe with a little water as it gets sticky. Freeze large ice cubes, so it's about 3 cloves per cube. Freeze those in a labeled bag. I often do this and just keep adding to the bags. I replace eventually. You will want dedicated ice cube trays; the smell won't come out
Congratulations on the new baby! Freezer meals are especially great for those busy seasons. That pineapple chicken recipe sounds so interesting! So does the Mexican casserole. I make a similar one but have never thought to add spaghetti squash.
I've spent my entire lockdown watching this channel. Maybe this will be a turning point in my luck. Love the aesthetics of the channel and thanks for the giveaway.
Awe, such a sweet fur family member... So precious... Yum, meatball soup / stew = stoup. My mom used to make the meatballs from scratch. It's been awhile. Think it's time to make it. Thank you for sharing.
My cat Skunky (he long ago died) used to do that. I dropped a Tylenol once, and had to fight him for it- he won (no that didn't kill him). But he'd eat bread, tortillas, little Debbie cakes if he could, so that is why till this day (28 years later) my microwave doubles as a bread box. My new cat Sushi( she is 5 now- not real new) ,she doesn't do stuff like that. Maybe only male cats do it. Congratulations on the baby!
Skunky sounds like he had some spunk! Scary how one tylenol could be frightening! Best of luck with Sushi! Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you enjoy the recipes!!!
@@SixSistersStuff I usually like your recipes. Plus you taught me how to make pasta in the instant pot, and broccoli. From there I figured out cabbage- my main vegetable. Basically, you got me to eat more than pizza ,hot dogs and chicken strips. I can cook in a house, but I'm a travel nurse, and I travel in a 25ft camper trailer. It has a kitchen, but it lends itself more to hamburgers. Skunky was a mess, and I miss him. Sushi is from California, and was adopted by a hillbilly from Alabama. She kinda reminds me of a beauty queen in evening ware riding a 4 wheelers through a muddy cow pasture- she may seem out of place but she loves it. You and your family have a good day, and you spoil that baby. Billy
I feel you when it comes to your cat. I have a cat that won't touch anything but BREAD. She must take after me because, unfortunately, I love my carbs. LOL These meals look delicious and you make it look so easy. I especially want to try the pineapple chicken tacos. Yum! Thank you for sharing! ❤
@sixsistersstuff Hey, thanks for the recipes. They give me inspiration for meals to make for the five teenage boys I cook for. 🙂 I’m wondering, do you reuse your Ziplock bags? You sure use a lot of them! It would be nice to see your pre-portioned ingredients in glass jars, or ceramic bowls, or anything other than lots of plastic bags.
I use foil pans for my meals.. It's still a work in progress, because they are disposable, but at least you can recycle them. I have had success washing them, but they aren't permanently reuseable. I will say this- for stir fries, don't freeze over rice. The rice absorbes the flavor! But do freeze pasta & sauce.... Somehow that's different. Hopefully others have some good advice, too, because I'd like some. But the pans work well for me, being generally a uniform size, which makes things easier to freeze.
We do not reuse the Ziploc plastic bags, but you can also purchase reuseable food storage freezer bags and they are wonderful. You pay a little more up front, but then you can reuse them over and over again. Here is a link - amzn.to/3uTXdNx
@@SixSistersStuff Reusable ziplock bags are great! I totally agree, and have a few different sizes and brands that we’ve used for over a decade and they’re still going strong. 🏋️😊When making your meatball recipe, I use collapsible silicon portion containers instead of ziplock bags for the add-ins like the carrot slices, onion, and celery, etc. They are awesome because (and this is the best part) you CAN reuse them! 😊 Give ‘em a quick wash and they’re ready to help you out all over again. Not only that, they’re collapsible, so they don’t take up much space, and they are microwave, dishwasher, and oven safe. If you’re lucky enough to have leftovers after everyone enjoys one of these delicious freezer meals, you can portion some out for school or work lunches for a quick heat-and-eat option. Everyone wins! 😁 This is a brand similar to the one I use. I highly recommend giving reusable portion cups a try! I don’t think you’ll be disappointed you did. ♥️🌎♥️🌊♥️
Yummmm... These all look so good... I need to pull my instant pot back out.. 😉 I wish I had a lot of these recipes when my kids were young and in sports .. Thanks for sharing.. And how Harper is growing!! 🤗🤗🤗😁😁👍👍😁👍😁❤️❤️
Thank you for sharing! Have you learned the trick of using your stand mixer to shred the meat? It reduces cooked chicken or beef into wonderful shreds so quickly!
I kinda wondered if you would ever get to this point, Anna. It feels now your potential is unlocked. You finally grew up. While you always look so nice, its good to see you looking a bit more simple today. 😂
@1:10 make one batch each instead of 3, and divide one batch of the larger ones into 2-3 containers and cook one to eat right away (and give the 3rd away?).
You can lear your cat not to jump the counters and tables. Ours never do, I don’t now how it works when I’m not home thou… 😄 It’s not hard, but it’s easier to do with kittens. Love you’re videos❣️
I probably wont get an answer, because this was done a few months back, but because I can't find the recipe for the Chicken Vegetable Rice Teryiaki recipe I have 2 questions. Can you give an approximate time you baked the veggies. I know you said until the carrots were soft but just wondered an estimate. And then i didn't hear how you reheated the rice and chicken/veggies for this recipe. I'm making it for others and wanted to add some directions. Thanks for all the help and motivation to make dinner!!
I have a question anytime I put anything in the Insta pot or crockpot and it contains barbecue sauce and I buy the really good brand KC masterpiece barbecue sauce it comes out watery the barbecue sauce is it thick and rich it’s absolute water it’s not sticking to any of the food and it’s at the bottom of either crockpot or Insta pot what do I need to do so that the barbecue sauce is thick and sticking to the food? Thank you in advance
I love your channel and have one question. On the video you say to set the IP for 20 minutes for the BBQ chicken if unfrozen. Then I looked up your printable recipe and it say to cook for 12 minutes if unfrozen. Which is correct?
I finally got a bunch of freezer meals made. Then I realized how much room they take up in the freezer LOL. Then I was kind of hoarding them because they took me so much time and money (I don't buy much prepared/pre-cooked stuff) LOL. I've finally accepted them as part of the rotation! Turkey meatballs are not healthier than pork or beef. The fat in meat is not unhealthy. 😀
I love your recipes! I'm just wondering if the casserole can go straight in the freezer when it's prepped or do you recommend cooking and then freezing?
The casserole goes straight into the freezer after being prepped. Then when you are ready to eat it, just thaw and then bake. We love it with Tortilla chips.
Thank you for the recipes. I have 2 questions. If I want to use brown rice instead, would the time be same? Also, If I want my rice more fluffy, would I decrease the time for like a minute? Thanks!
How to Cook Brown Rice in an Instant Pot Add 1 cup water + 1 cup rinsed brown rice to Instant Pot. Secure lid, press Pressure Cook - High, and set to 20 minutes. It will take 8 minutes to pressurize, and then the cooking begins. When the timer goes off, carefully press the quick release (steam should immediately stream from the steam valve, so be careful). Once steam has fully escaped - 30 seconds - carefully remove lid. Enjoy perfect cooked rice!
Had a rodent issue at one time... Started putting bread and tortillas in a 16 qt plastic box with a latchable lid. Now it keeps my cat out of it as well!!! As a single person, I have made some of the recipes here. After cooking, packaged the leftovers for 'instant' freezer meals.
I dont know where you get all your energy your amazing. Our dog gets in our fridge and will eat anything and everything. We have to put a child lock on it its hilarious and a pain. So i completely understand.
I have a cat that loves bread too! I have to hide it in the microwave so she doesn't dig into the bag. Thank you for giving us more recipes! Please check out Soupercubes too, those have been very helpful to me for freezing things.
As a suggestion for beef or chicken broth by bouillon the powder to save money just deluded in water. The Hispanic brand Knorr they even have. Shrimp bouilon.
My cats try to lick anything plastic such as store bought bread bags so I just keep the bread of the counters because I can't always prevent the cats from jumping up. The one cat audio thinks he should knock everything down that's in his way in the counter as if he actually belongs there! Don't get me started on how he gets on the top of the fridge! It's like having kids all over again!! I love your videos and will absolutely try these recipes!
@@infjandcoping4614 yes my other male cat is unbelievable. He will hear me open anything with plastic (such as vitamins) and comr running from the other end of the house. He has also been to the hospital for getting into my decorations closet and eating a bunch of Easter grass (which was in plastic bags) where they proclaimed him the "purrfect patient" and fawned over him and put him on IG. He also steals shoes. I know he sounds slightly deranged but he's mommy's boy so I just keep any and all shred and plastic out of sight. At least he can no longer jump or the counters so I have more control over what he gets into. Cats gotta love them!!
@@infjandcoping4614 yes my home has become a tinsel, garland and Easter grass free home in order to protect Bruno; who by his name, you'd think would be protecting me! Every time I get an order in the mail, I need to immediately dispose of any wrappers and make sure the shred or filler is disposed of immediately.
Teheehaha, the Cat!!! LOL 😹 My Siamese, Simone got into my dinner and licked ALL the "Sour Cream" OFF my casserole once! Had to throw it away! Sigh...🤦 What's you cat's name btw?!? I enjoyed these recipes and enjoyed seeing Harper! Thanks so much for this video! God Bless! ❤️
I have a very important question. I have an instant pot from a company *n-w*. It's an 8-quart version. (don't know if you wanted me to say the name). I made a roast today and it was a total flop!! That company didn't have a recipe on how long to set it for. I found a recipe online for an instant-pot chuck roast. It said to set the instant-pot to 70 min. On the panel, on the pot, it says meat/stew. When I pushed it 55 minutes popped up. But advanced the time to 70 minutes. Also, the recipe said to let the machine do a release of its own for a tender roast. When I opened it up, it was as dry as the desert, and the bottom of the meat burnt. I'm retired and with the prices these days, it was money thrown away. Please help!!! Now I just wished I had used my crockpot, and let cook all night long
if you die today will you go to heaven? Have you ever lied, stolen, hated, used God's name as a curse word (O-M-G)? According to God's law, you're guilty, ignorance will not be an excuse... But wait, God loves you, he made a way out. God so loved the world that he gave his only son that whoever believes in him will not die but have everlasting life. John 3:16 Please think about your eternal life, believe and repent, even after rapture you can be saved. Love Y'all
QUESTION: Why would you cook frozen vegetables..if you are going to freeze them? Why not save dishes, time, electric and just scoop frozen vegetables and put into the bag?
Ive watched several of your videos. Just an odd question I noticed you don't handle chicken at all, wondering if there was a reason? I use disposable gloves when I am handling raw meats, and sometimes cook meats.
I try to not handle it with my hands while doing videos. A lot of viewers become upset. When cooking for my family I have no problem handling chicken and then washing my hands.
@@SixSistersStuff makes since, I really like using gloves so my hands don't all yucky, easy to remove if phone rings too, faster then washing them. Some people have way too much time their hands to complain about stuff like that, it's not like you sell the food you are making.
A general rule of thumb is about 3-6 months for a freezer meal in your freezer. You don't say what the actual problem is in not lasting very long. A little bit of ice crystals are fine. After doing a little research, you are apt to getting more freezer burn in a refrigerator/freezer than a regular freezer. The reason? With frequent opening and shutting of your freezer, it is constantly working to make sure that items stay properly frozen.
Hey Amazon has a bread container that you can put your bread in it looks just like a loaf of bread but it's hard plastic it's great and my cat can't eat the bread anymore
I need all kind of recipes that do not include onions or peppers. Onion powder is fine if it can be substituted all these recipes always look so great but my kids will eat none of it with an onion or pepper in it
Trust me, it won't be good! When you cook your freezer meal you don't want to cook the rice with it. And it's nice to have the rice already cooked. You can easily just cook rice the day you need it to go along with the main dish. That will work too. I just like to have it all done and ready to go!
