I first heard this configuration in 1950 on radio in Los Angeles. I knew NOTHING about music! But my twelve-year-old ears were drawn to this music, tho' I didn't know why. In the early sixties I was privileged attend some of the church's efforts and to hear and observe the quartet in very close proximity. The refined and informed sound of this configuration, of Bob Edwards, Bob Seamount, Wayne Hooper and Jerry dill, is so distinctive as to be identifiable anywhere in God's universe. The very spirit of God - believe me! - was resting upon Wayne every moment of his compositional and arranging career. There will be a vast host in heaven who will owe their place in the kingdom of God to the wooing of the gospel message and salvation through the medium of these messengers of God.

We loved them then & I've not heard them for so long it's like a miracle to be able to enjoy them again!! May God bless all who have made them available again!!!
Seamount had an outstanding 2nd tenor voice tone quality. Hooper knew what he was doing when he chose Seamount to join the group. Jerry Dill, too. Dill had a broad bass excellent tone quality, which made up for depth… again, Hooper knew what he was doing when he asked Dill to join them. All in this group are resting in Jesus’ arms, awaiting His 2nd coming.
