How many of these did you already know? 🤔 Also! Mark your calendars. Next Friday 8/14 (my bday!!) going live on RU-vid. Not sure what time yet but I’ll post that when it gets closer.
I would just like to say your really informative and I was gonna get a ferret but unfortunately I couldn’t. If I ever do though I have made a playlist of a ton of your videos because I didn’t know a lot of these things. If I ever do a ferret I would know how to give them a very happy life :3 ( rambles on about dumb stuff I’m sorry )
Queena S. i do I’m 17 turning 18 in October. We’re quite animal people anyway so it wasn’t too hard to persuade them. They knew I was responsible and was able to pay for them myself and look after them by myself so that really helped. And the ferrets are doing really well I ended up rehoming four because they desperately needed a new home and I couldn’t bear to separate them. They’re really calm and friendly so they’re not too much of a handful x
It's my dream to get a ferret- I'm only 13 but I'm trying my best and I'm doing so much research and your channel is just an amazing place for that! Thank you so much for all that you teach!
Your videos are so helpful especially because I’m getting a ferret soon! I watch your videos like EVERYDAYY! ❤️ keep up the great work and thank you so much!
@@dianarojas4226 you can get them from animal shelters, but some of the ferrets might have behavioural issues, so if you are a beginner then it's best to ask about them. also, please *don't* get them from pet shops, as the ferrets there are bred in a cruel way as well.
I also watch ferret videos from a channel called emzotic. Can you please do a reaction video to that channel? I also live in an apartment with a lot of pets and I want ferrets but my parents said I can’t get ferrets until we get an actual house. I have watched like all of your videos! I love your videos! ❤️
I was doing research on meat grinds, and I’m pretty sure that you have to supplement bones, but I’m not sure where to get them, how much to feed, and how to feed. If you know anything about , please let me know. Thank you
A few weeks ago my ex roommate pressured me into getting a ferret since I had mentioned I have always wanted one, and I brought her home a few hours later. I absolutely adore her but I am terrified that I am messing up her diet. ( I knew these foods were unsafe for the most part at least). The pet store I got her from told me to feed her cat food, but I recently found your Chanel and I am trying to feed her raw. I live in a rural area and the only meats I have given her are chicken and ground turkey. I give her raw chicken or ground turkey every day, a chicken foot every other day, and a chicken liver once a week, but I still supplement with cat food because I’m afraid I’m not going to give her enough food, or she will hide the chicken feet after eating on them for about twenty minutes. What else should I do to help her diet? I’m so stressed about this and I have found your videos incredibly helpful
Hello! So i have a question on how to serve bone in a ferrets diet. Do you blend the bone into chunks in a meat blender or do you just leave the bone how it is? Also would you say pigeon, partridge, rabbit, pheasant, duck and eggs a good enough variety for a ferret? Also I really want merch
@@edagregory2007 if you're trying to tell somebody that they're care is wrong politely try to give a compliment first then gives your advice and then some tips but don't unload everything you know just give advice and point them in the direction of a channel such as this one🙂
New subscriber. I got yelled at by my vet. I was told never feed freeze dried food for ferrets because they still can get salmonella. I was told stick with ZuPreen with the grain because ferrets will get stones if you go grain free. ZuPreen was her favorite she felt was the best. I have two four year old ferrets. What ferret treats do you recommend?
Thank you very very much for everything, you are wonderful and great. I leant a lot of stuffs from you, watched almost all your videos, subscribed, liked your videos. I am always looking forward to watch and learn more about our beloved ferrets. I wish you all the best and much health always for you and your beautiful family!!😍😍❤
This video will serve me great uses in the future when I finally decided to get myself one of these little danger noodles! Thank you for the information :D

Hi i love your vids and i been watching a lot of them recently. And i just realise that Marshall is bad for ferrets so I will stop feeding them that so what food do you recommend is best for them we asked one of the workers in the animal store what food was the best for my ferret and he said it was Marshall so I been feeding my ferret Marshall for 5 months now and my ferret has been sick. And we think is because of that food that she is been sick and we will take her to the vet in 2 days because we saving money in case she has something really bad so what type of food to you recommend please
Hi, I was wondering what kinds of treats are best for ferrets? Like for training and stuff. I know not to choose Marshall, or those fruit shaped ones or peanut butter. Are freeze dried one Ingrediant meat treats the best for them? Thanks.
[Mod] Yes freeze dried treats are the way to go. No treats are completely healthy but I would choose freeze dried treats. Remember not to give them to many treats though.
can ferrets eat frogs the european pole cat a ferrets closest relative their diets consist of anphibians and i was wondering if i could feed my little trixie frogs because we have plent of frogs where i live and im thinking about switching her to a raw diet
I would recommend going to a shelter to adopt or go to craigslist to save one because most of the ones on their have a bad cages and are getting sold to anyone to get them of their hands
Hey there! I go from school from 9am to 4:30pm is it ok if I get a ferret? Also how frequently should you give raw egg to ferrets to control hairballs? Edit :Forgot to add that on wednesdays our school gives us a break by letting us go at 1:30!
@@keelyncole8552 thank you! If I do get a ferret Ill let them out of there cage with my mum and Ill prepare their food (raw meat) for the week so its easier to handle!
@@keelyncole8552 The Critter Nation (CN) is made by the same company (Midwest) and is identical to the Ferret Nation (FN) in everything but these two exceptions... bars are horizontal instead of vertical in the Critter Nation, and the bars are 1/2 inch apart (CN) instead of 1 inch apart (FN). I wouldn't say recommending the CN instead of the FN as a valid option, the FN is better for ferrets than the CN just for the bar layout... it's just if you ALREADY have a Critter Nation there's nothing wrong with using it for ferrets. If you're going to buy new for ferrets, there's zero reason to get a Critter Nation as the two cost the same anyways and who wants twice as many unnecessary bars blocking your view of your ferrets?
The Ferret Nation is hands-down the best option and gold-standard for any ferret owner... if you're going to be serious about owning ferrets, including proper housing, you really should just be looking at a Ferret Nation. Having said that, if you simply MUST buy a different cage for some reason, the only other serious option would be a Prevue Hendryx Feisty Ferret Cage... it is less expensive than a Ferret Nation and a good bit smaller in size... the biggest downsize of the Fiesty Ferret (aside from being smaller) is it must be modified before use with a ferret... it comes with wire flooring which is really bad for a ferrets feet, so you need to do something like cover the wire floor with linoleum or some other sort of cover to prevent your ferrets from hurting their feet (this is NOT a problem with the Ferret Nation). As any Ferret owner will tell you, proper ferret care over the life of a ferret is not cheap... if you start of cutting corners on a cage from day-1, are you really in a financial position to properly care for a ferret over the years of its lifetime? The Ferret Nation really is the only commercial ferret cage worth serious consideration... the Feisty Ferret is a distant 2nd place, but passable if you have no more than two ferrets and cover the wire flooring. Another point a lot of people miss when buying a cage is CLEANING the cage... Ferret Nations are recommended because basically you can open the doors and reach every part of the cage with nothing in the way... Feisty Ferret you can open HALF the front of either level (one "door" always remains closed) and just about any other cage you look at has tiny doors that you can barely fit your hand in... good luck cleaning those cages out. P.S. Remember... Ferrets have no wings and cannot fly. There are a lot of "big" cages out there with a ton of what I call "negative space" in the cage... ie: a lot of air that unless your ferret can fly (they can't) that space is wasted space. Multi-level cages are good for ferret exercise within the cage, but if all they are doing are climbing ramps to tiny bird-sized ledges, you have a lot of wasted space in the cage... all the levels of the cage should have enough physical floor space to actually be useful to a ferret, so if for some reason you are not buying a Ferret Nation (and really, you should be) and are looking at other cages, just remember, ferrets can't fly... most of the other "big" cages out there have a lot of negative wasted space.
@Mithrennon of aegwynn you have a lot of knowledge and you need to do something with it and I respect that and I will listen to what you just said to me I agree with all of it but I would never recommend the feisty ferrets cage to anyone because it’s way too small the ferret nation is the absolute best cage and I love the spacing on the bars and everything about it and how it shaped and everything like that but the critter nation is almost exactly the same it’s just at the bars are different so I wasn’t sure if she was saying that like I don’t wanna buy it because it’s too much money or I don’t want to buy it because the bars are weird so I gave her that choice and option but I love your passion on the subject and I love my passion on the subject and I absolutely love ferrets and I know what ton about them.I also love how you took time out of your day to educate people on ferrets because a lot of people think badly about them and you just wrote a whole essay on why it’s amazing to get the ferret nation which I hundred percent agree with and I just love how motivated you are to make every single person out there to do the right thing for their pets so thank you for your information and see you later.😃
Can ferrets eat cooked chicken I’m currently thinking about getting one and chicken is something easy for me to get I would love to know if I can feed my future ferret that
I did watch the whole video but can someone comment a list or the poster please? I’m getting another ferret soon after 7 years and would really like to put the foods away specifically to care for the guy since I have an apartment with lots of things! ❤️❤️❤️
I may get a ferret when i move and it wont be very far away from the house i have now. If i do get one i prob won have a ferret breeder, is it ok if i choose a healthy one at a pet store?
No because you'd be supporting the awful breeding. Also, Pet Store ferrets are almost never healthy and die fairly young. It's not something you see in their first few weeks of life but those issues arise with time. Please wait until you can get some from a reputable, good breeder or shelter
Im I early if I am pls 💗 my comment Btw I have exema too And Iove your vids and I like all of them,😀 I'm gonna have a ferret I hope I give it a great life just like You give your ferrets a delighfull life
“Does Anyone Know If Purina Pro Plan Kitten Focus Food Is Okay?, i was told by someone in veterinary medicine class that there ferrets did good with that. But I just got them just one bag but afterwards am switching them to Ziwi Peak soon!!!!”
@@sarahentgen1163 She has said in other videos that she doesn't recommend feeding it at all because there's better ways to get the nutrients into their diet like raw fish
i have an important qeustion i think i asked this a couple times in coments... anyway is bravo pet food good for your ferrets??? another thing i know you said this but corn is one of the worrst ingredieints for dogs cats ferrets and a lot of more carnivores
Has anyone tried the pure bites on amazon? They’re supposed to be just one ingredient dehydrated treats. I’m trying to find things I can get on amazon for my noodles.
Please know corn IS BAD for almost all animals, corn fed beef is not quality it's cheap and VERY hard on the digestive system... please don't buy it for your pets (in their food) and try to avoid it for yourself (corn fed animals)
For ferrets meat gives them perfect health but sugar causes illness, meanwhile for humans natural sugar is good for you and meat causes cancer. Nature is interesting. If only humans were sensible with their own diets..
With the cinnamon i thought you could boil it to make a home smell better with ferrets in it so ferrets cant breath in kibble so either way cinnamon is bad right ?
