Speaking of the RX-7 Amemiya, I remember noticing it was the only (?) closed cockpits car with the window open / missing. You can actually see the driver even without a cheat code with the photomode.
I can see a pattern with the RX7 LM Car as its also the colors of the F1 Teams back in the 2002 F1 season: Silver - McLaren Blue - Sauber/Renault Red - Ferrari Green - Jaguar Yellow - Jordan Orange - Arrows Black - Minardi White - BAR/Toyota/Williams
0:37 - Strictly speaking the Altezza LM was in GT2 too as a prize car for an Endurance race (Rome 2Hrs IIRC). Also the black RX-7 is probably a reference to test car liveries (or lack of). It looks like several pre race season test cars you see in motorsport. Or at least in the spirit of the style.
And the own PD way of making their own Carbon R as it is on matte, the roof is white and funnily enough is after the DN X has a tinted window (speaking about the RX7
The "black" RX7 Race car is probably a counterpart to the Amuse Carbon R, which also had a white roof on CF body, which probably means, its rather white with carbonfiber body than "black"
Just to double back on the Back to the Future Easter Egg... In one of the post-game Extra Menu races, one of the drivers will mention said Delorean and how the seem familiar. A similar thing happens with a red Shelby... But I cannot figure out this reference.
I think it might be another movie reference. Back to the Future II features a red convertible Mustang (though that one is a foxbody Mustang from the 80s), the James Bond film Diamonds Are Forever features a red 1971 Ford Mustang Mach 1 (one of the few instances where Bond drove an American car) and the I Am Legend film from 2007 starring Will Smith features a scene where he drives a red 2007 Shelby GT500 Mustang through empty streets.
I’ve always enjoyed Gran Turismo for its attention to detail. It’s amazing to see all those tracks borders, despite being inaccessible or even meant to be seen by anyone at the time the game was released. Right now, it’s the Infield Layout of SSR X the thing that most intrigues me. Its something we’ll probably never get, but I will be so interested in watching how the original track looked like. And it seems that it was actually playable.
In Gran Turismo 7, a bear can be spotted in Trial Mountain, just at the end of the tunnel on the longest straight, on the right side. Funny thing is that a warning sign for "Beware of bears" is located immediately after the bear... While in Deep Forest, several goats can be spotted on the left side before approaching the straight with tunnels
Happy New Year! It’s a lot of fun watching more Easter eggs in the Gran Turismo series. I liked how the Kangaroos joined in racing with the player and AI because it bring more competition and a nice way to unwind after defending positions. Now for Laguna Seca and Fuji, it’s a bit weird that the devs swapped the cars featured, almost like they did it on purpose? 🤔
1:15 but then in gt5 you could put dirty tyres on everything pretty sure even the Tank car lol. I did the rally events in a Ferrari Cabrio, was a vibe.
About the first easter egg, Impreza Super Touring Car can be used in rallies on GT4, as I did recently on my Randomizer run. Don't know about the Altezza though
FYI the cat in Tokyo R246 has apparently been in the game since GT3! Although it was discovered in GT4 first, someone checked back and found it there too.
Not sure if anyone pointed this out already, but at 11:03 when Matt talks about Smokey Mountain, the picture shows the track map of Swiss Alps. It's not the map of Smokey Mountain South. It has the western straight and the s-bend of Swiss Alps. Is this an easter egg in itself? If so, I guess i've just discovered it!
Daytona is near Cape Canaveral in the sense that it is within 100 miles of it. Florida, being flat, allows viewing of launches from nearly anywhere in the state
The Impreza LM and Altezza LM aren't the only cars you can do the dirt tires trick too. The FTO LM Racecar can also be done that way too. I was surprised when I discovered this initially and it made me not need the Escudo anymore for rallying events due to these cars. It was soo good. As for the RX7 LM, the "00" is meant to be a test car like how in real JGTC the cars are just bare carbon bodies with some of their left over panels from the stock vehicle painted white. The "7" I feel is just referencing the 7 in RX-7 which is why it's red. I also think it may also be referencing the RX-7 Type RS too since the default color of that is a similar if not the same blue.
ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-OsccjjWD2Yo.htmlsi=2egKG5XM1fJXqm8-&t=93 I was shown this from a friend and apparently there is a Yeti on Charmonix. I am curious if you have heard anything about this yet?
Yep. The Monterrey, California board. They allowed Mazda to become the tracks title sponsor in the early 2000s. That title now goes to Weathertech automotive accessories.
Theres a EasterEgg (if you want to call it that) that Ive never seen anyone post about.. but in GranTurismo...6? (Either 5 or 6) in certain tracks if you look into the stands, One of the Viewers will be Hideo Kojima with a CamberGang Shirt and Lanyard .. I have a photo of it somewhere if you dont believe me lol its wild no one noticed it
Thanks! I'm glad you liked the video. It's been a while since I set up GT5 Master Mod, but from memory, I downloaded the master mod, then installed the master mod first, then the free cam after. I think I remember it being a separate file (but still packaged with the master mod). I'm sure you could reach out to the mod's creators for help too. 👍
Ok, so the free cam's file is separated from the master mod? I have installed the 1.9.1 and latest version of it but still, I can't access free cam... Do I have to press something?
Hope you'll see my comment Remember the whole Epsilon Program thing from GTA: San Andreas that carried over into new GTA games? Not to freak you out but I still play GTA: San Andreas and I found the board on the forum where you and others'd discuss your findings. My question is did that ever lead anywhere? Did you manage to figure it out?
Hello 😎 In october 2023, i finished the japanese version of Gran Turismo 3 (On my smartphone with an emulator). All the races, 430 in total. It was fun and also painful, in some races (Professional league : Yaris race & F1 championship & others). But there one thing i learned, you can choose the car and the color that you just won, by pressing a certain number of time the option menu just before you exit to get the cash and the car. 😎 In the european version of GT3 it's random, you can reload the save and get another car and color not on the japanese version.
At 10:30 of the video, you can spot a race trailer that reads HERDEZ, that's the trailer of the Champ Car World Series mexican driver Michael Jourdain Jr. with HERDEZ COMPETITION (HVM Racing). Idk if that was already documented but nice surprise finding this as one of my best childhood memories was going to the races that were held at Fundidora Park in Mty, Mexico.
Interesting. Why would they put it there? I remember watching Champ Car races on TV; Adrián Fernández, Jourdain Jr., Mario Domínguez, Rodolfo Lavín...they were great times for Mexican motorsports
@@dalh426 I remember Jourdain was a special guest driving in the NASCAR Busch (Xfinity) Series back in the mid to late 2000s especially on road courses like Mexico City at the Autodrome and Circuit Villeneuve in Montréal, Quebec, Canada. Funny enough, his #10 Unsponsored Ford Taurus is a playable driver in NASCAR 06: Total Team Control (based on 2005 stats) from EA Sports.
Just want to point out how in GT7's Deep Forest Raceway if you go into time trial mode you can find some goats behind the outside wall at the redesigned turn 10, along with some more on the left side of the riverbed before the first tunnel, and on the left side rock wall in between the two tunnels.
My wild guess for the Formula Gran Turismo is, the white and white+blue livery referenced Nakajima Racing around 2004, former the PIAA car and latter EPSON NSX JGTC 2004. Wonder if there's anyone recreates the GT4 helmet? It looks unique even today.
I always love your GT's easter eggs videos! Can you search GTPSP easter eggs and make a video on those, if they exist? Edit: I searched for some easter eggs and found the monkey, tall tree and nessie in trial mountain, and found the Honda robot and the cat in R246.
In GT3 you can use the Opel/Vauxhall Astra Touring Car (Opel/Vauxhall Team Phoenix) '00 with dirt tires too used to love throwing it around tahiti maze. Also that sign on beginners course is right at the beginning of smoky mountain on GT3 you can see it on the replay cameras
You mean 88, right? And yes, Mazda used to have a white and blue car along with the more famous green and orange. They used the 200-numbers due to racing in the IMSA GTP class, and were often the only cars entered in it, and thus got the lowest numbers. At the late-mid 80's and up until... 90 or 91, they used to give numbers 1-99 to C1 cars, 101-199 for C2 cars and 201-299 for IMSA GTP.
A little correction on the Impreza LM Race Car: It could still equip Dirt Tires in GT4, unless it's an NTSC-U/C thing and not in the PAL version. It would be unable to equip those tires from GT5 onwards. Also, for the white Formula Gran Turismo, it loses its Mobil logo in GT6 and now has a Castrol logo like all the others. Lastly, a couple of easter eggs in GT7 do not appear in the PS4 version due to technical limitations. Only the kangaroo easter egg remains in the PS4 version which only appears in the race where one of the NPCs mentions Kangaroos in the Pre-Race menu. The UFO, Nessie, the Condor, and the Elephant Seals in Grand Valley do not appear.
More Honda S2000 LM love :) I never new the Altezza LM could be equipped with rally tires too, just the Imprezza LM. Kind of random but yay for more rally options in GT3!
I remember winning that Altezza on GT3 A-Spec. When it was modded, it was over 1000 hp, absolutely obscene. It was so much fun to drive, but was a bit unfair. To this day, GT3 is still my favorite GT game. The Seattle track was so much fun. I hate that the newer incarnations don’t have that track.
I seen this video and I enjoyed it, thank you for making this video. I command you for a teaching people the knowledge that you shared in this video such as myself.
You can also do this in GT6, where you also will notice that not only does the Formula GT car get a slight graphical touchup but also has some new colors added as well.
