*I got a NordVPN sponsorship. I'm officially a RU-vidr!* I wanted to take a break from easter eggs and look at the attention to detail in some of my favourite games. I'm always finding new things that blow me away, and so I wanted to show you some of the best I found recently. I really hope you enjoy the video!
It's gorgeous. Almost 15 years later and it still holds up against any game releasing today. It doesn't need a remake, but I'm so desperate for a remake with Catalyst's controls and the original's visuals.
i was thinking the same. I had such a blast playing that for the first time. Hard to believe its been 14 years. Alien Isolation also still looks insanely good.
I don't get all the hate for Catalyst, I actually liked it more than the first. The only thing I think Catalyst did worst than the original was the combat, it was much better in the first game, but other than that I liked everything in Catalyst better. There is an actual open world instead of being restricted to just the mission area. The cutscenes are actually animated instead of comic like slideshows, and I just felt the story of Catalyst was better. I will say the skill tree was pretty stupid as we had all those moves available from the start in the first game, but overall I felt that Catalyst was a good game, but that's just my opinion.
@@vengeance1450 I don't know man, I played it a loooong time ago now but I remember it being way more boring than the first one and worse in almost every sense
Yo, thanks dude! I actually took inspiration from you there. I saw you do some that I passed on and didn't know why I didn't do them too. I just learnt to stop punishing myself. So, thanks so much!
@@FunWithGuru Haha you’re welcome! I know that when you started your Patreon, you said that you don’t like taking ads because they betray the aesthetic of your videos, but I’m sure your viewers won’t mind them!
I always thought the sound design in Death Stranding was phenomenal, but the fact that they made a sound if you PEE on the HOLOGRAM WALLS??? Like WHAT???? Someone had to actually come up with that while it was in development. Makes me love the game even more.
i just replayed Prey and man... the details in that game is kinda crazy, like the videos in the Glass, you can even look around in there, really wish that game had a sequel because it's one of my favorite from Arkane studios.
I watch your content for quite a while now and i must say... Every video of yours feels like a cinematic master piece. Everything is so well made and you really have a talent to show the right stuff. Keep up the good work
@@emulation2369 You can also jump in slow motion and use painkillers to heal gunshot wounds, the Max Payne games are loved for the story and the gameplay, nobody walks into it expecting cutting edge realism!
Just a random comment passing through to say how much I appreciate all the effort you put in your videos, they have such a calming and heart warming vibe and I love it. Very very much. Thank you Guru!
Glad you included that Battlefield 1 clip, it's cool to see accurate representations of fire extinguishers in video games. I work with fire extinguishers, and one thing that always bugs me is that alot of games get them very wrong. DICE always nailed them, like in Battlefield 4 when you could shoot them and it would create a giant powder cloud. That's realistic. However, some games can't tell (or dont know the difference between) what type of fire extinguisher they're representing. Many times I've seen BC fire extinguishers (typically water or foam) will slowly shoot out dry chemical powder, or somehow explode and... catch things on fire?
The speakers break forever if you destroy them. Thats a nice twist that you learn in your first playtrough, the music is so chill. Also good to see mirrors edge, that game was amazing. Never played ME 2, tough
I just 100% Cyberpunk and man what a game, so much detail and little stuff everywhere in that game. Must’ve felt so cool for Keanu to play Johnny, as Keanu has always been a rocker and guitar player himself.
i really appreciate ur videos a lot guru, the way you edit and produce is just so chill and relaxing, you brought me peace in a chaotic time when i was sick. best of luck to you man
@@FunWithGuru I wished that when they release the remakes of the first 2 MP games they would also release a MP3 Remastered, I‘m always for remastering games to current gen consoles (just don’t kill the formula)
Good stuff Guru. Still, there's a correction for the MW4 Remastered entry. The character YOU play as is Lieutenant Price, the flashback mission having you play as his younger self. The other character for the mission is Captain MacMillan, your superior.
It's wild to see how far you've come... I didn't have the DLC, but I remember way back you asked me to help you out with a BO2 easter egg on the xbox 360 haha
Thank you for still making great videos! You're probably the one person who has jump started my love for easter eggs and details in games since I first saw your videos when I was like 13. I can't thank you enough for making me interested in what has become my favorite part of gaming.
Watching the iconic "Top 10 creepiest easter eggs in video games" was like somewhat life-changing in a way for me, so again, thank you for everything you do and everything you've done!
At 2:58 of the video, if you listen carefully. You can hear a what sounds like a metal pipe hitting the ground. This is a reference to the metal pipe sound effect, which was a strangely popular meme at its time.
I have faith (no pun intended) that a new Mirror's Edge game will come out, just for people like Guru that still appreciate this classic to this day, because it deserves it.
Classic "this will probably be burried" comment, but This is neither the place or time or place for it, but I wanna thank you, Guru, for making content over the years. I don't know what it is, but something about how your videos are made give such a feeling of comfort, which at this point has become a little nostalgic. Keep up thje great work. I've been loving it for the last 7 years, would love to see it to 10, if not further.
The God of war detail blew my mind there was absolutely no need for Santa Monica to put that in especially since it was out of shot but they did it anyway shows how much they cared about this game
